Welcome to another Friday Findings video at KeepsakeCrafts.net.
Today I have for you a terrific product that you can use in so many different ways in your
crafting, jewelry making, polymer clay and all sorts of things and not just in the kitchen.
So Glad Press'n Seal is a product that came out quite a few years ago and I never really
bothered with it because it seemed just way too expensive compared to plastic wrap, but
then I started seeing all the different ways it can be used in our crafting and I finally
just recently got some and I am in love with it.
It makes so many things so much easier.
Now the main reason I bought the Glad Press'n Seal was because I was starting to amass a
collection of polymer clay sheets, techniques and left over bits and pieces.
And the way I had of storing them wasn't working for me.
So all this is, it's one of those photo boxes that you get at the craft store for just a
couple dollars and what I have is, this is my polymer clay sheets, left over bits of
foiled, crackled, silk screen.
Here's some mokume gane.
You might recognize this mokume gane from a video I did not too long ago.
And you might recognized this silk screen and it goes on.
I've got layers and layers and it's so nice because you can just pick it up and handle
it like this.
You don't have to be gentle or ginger or worry about it.
And all you need to do is tear off a piece twice as big as you need to store your pieces
of clay and put your clay sheets on one side and then fold the other side over and it doesn't
damage the clay.
The clay doesn't react with it and you can just gently peel them up and then use that
in something.
It's really wonderful.
It keeps it clean, free of dust and then when you're done, you just put them all back and
then I like to kind of rub in between them so it's all sealed and there you go.
You're off and running.
Here's another cool trick.
You can use this in the kitchen when you're cooking, but sometimes we're working on things
out of books and it can be messy and I don't know if you can tell, but this page I have
covered with a sheet of the Press'n Seal and of course if I was working with the book open,
I would have covered both sheets, but you can read through it.
I thought it was a great idea.
Not only can you cover books, you can cover your electronics.
If you're working from a laptop you can cover the keyboard and still use the keyboard or
a tablet or even wrap your phone up in it if you're going somewhere that's gonna be
maybe damp or dangerous to the phone.
I thought that was just a great idea to protect your pages.
I know all of my cookbook pages have splatters.
I can tell which recipes I've made by the ones that have food splatters on them.
And then here's something you might not expect.
This is my little velour beading mat and this is a beading project I was working on last
night.
I actually finished it, but I just thought I'd leave all the beads out and this occurred
to me because I have this sitting---all right those little ones are being a bit ornery,
but the big ones come right off.
I was working on this and my cat hopped up on the table to hang out with me and I really
had to work to persuade him to perhaps not sit in the middle of the beads.
I was thinking, "You know, if I had something to cover it with..." and this is perfect.
It actually sticks well enough to the velour sheet.
I mean I wouldn't fling it about, but if I pick it up carefully, it all stays in place.
I can move it.
I transported this between rooms and then when I'm done, I can just peel it up and you
might have to scrape some of the beads off a little bit.
You're not gonna be losing them all or having them fall all over the place.
And now that I've shown you that, I'm gonna put this on.
And not only will it stick to the velour, it will stick to one of these, your bead design
board.
So the same thing, if you're working in the middle of a project and you have to leave
and you're afraid it might get bumped or knocked about or sat on by a cat, cover it with a
sheet of the Press'n Seal.
You could also use your Press'n Seal to protect products that are prone to drying out.
If any of you have used Gilders Paste, you know that they tend to eventually dry out,
which makes me sad because I like my Gilders Pastes to be nice and creamy.
So these are Gilders Paste and whether you have the type that pop open, you can just
put it in there and easily open it, just as easily, and then this just gives it an extra
seal of protection.
Or if you have the type that twists open, again it's all protected in there and it's
not going to dry out.
Now I've been meaning to do this with my Gilders Pastes for ages and I finally did it last
night in preparation for this video is to cover all these with Press'n Seal because
I had several that were in the process of drying out and I've actually kind of filled
those with, you can see it's all wet, with mineral spirits.
It will be all nice and soft and creamy again.
And notice that the mineral spirits didn't do a thing to the Press'n Seal.
It's just fine.
So anything else that in the packaging that it comes in is prone to drying out, you could
add a layer of the Press'n Seal to keep it fresh.
And speaking of keeping things fresh, here is one of my favorite tips of all and that
is that you can save paint.
Have you ever mixed paint colors?
Like here I have some copper and pearl that I mixed.
You can see it through here to kind of make a softer copper color.
Sometimes you use just the tiniest amount and then you might need to match it again
later on, maybe in a day or a couple days or whenever you get back to the project and
it's gonna be tricky to match that exactly.
This is paint that I squirted onto this tile 24 hours ago and then I left the brush and
the paint all in there.
Here we are.
Paint that was squirted out 24 hours ago, fresh as a daisy.
I think that's just a fantastic idea.
My brush is still good.
My brush isn't wrecked.
I don't know how long this will last.
If any of you test it, I would be interested in hearing, but I imagine it will last a good
long while unless you go off for months without getting back to your project.
I imagine it would keep it fresh for quite some time.
So those are just a few ideas for using this really cool product in your crafting.

of the IPA side yep so we've got last
year's winner going against Tropi-
Cannon from Heavy Seas so last year's
winner is a 6.4 percent with
60 IBUs and then the TropiCannon
is a little higher in ABV at 7.25 but
it's a little lower in IBUs and that's
at 45 so you know not terribly lower but
probably significantly more so the right
thought it would be but we'll just have
to see how they stack up correct which
one you'll start with well let's go up
last year's winner okay Deschutes
right off the bat I think you can tell
it's is it a little yeah darker and the
Deschutes kind of looks like it has most of that hop
residue in there maybe yeah it's
something a little yeah floating around
smells pretty good nice citrus yup
not very big but nice right taste
once again a good beer I think thats why we
picked it last year definitely
definitely tastes like kind of fades
quick but I like it right because if you
get that citrus and then it's kind of
right it's gone and you're ready for the
next sip to me maybe a little bit multi
piney on the back but the bitterness and
not almost nothing yeah okay Heavy Seas
wow that's still there that's crazy that
is it smells like I'm in an orchard
oranges and peaches wow that's such
a good smell all right taste
yeah that's crazy I like this beer the
thing thou it's the fruitiness is in
your face there but to me and I don't
know if it's because I drink this it's
like the sweetness isn't really there so
it's like I could drink 15 of these and
not be like oh my god I just drink the
sweetest beer ever right it's almost like
you have an orange like kind of the zest
in your mouth yes like it's not
overpowering sweet in fact there's
hardly any sweetness there no mango
orange peach but you're right you know
if you I mean you almost throw us under
a fruity beer kind of category or yeah we
win as well um but it's it is an IPA
yeah yeah hands down again I think Heavy
Seas takes this sorry last year every
this is a good beer i'm sure you guys
will come up with another one though and
just think we picked us because we never
have it and it was interesting yeah it was
the luck of the draw really right so that'll
do it for Game 2 of Round 2 until next

My new camera Sony a6500 - Duration: 7:52.
I decided to renew the photo equipment
I used Canon EOS 6D as for the video shooting as for making pictures
This camera is very good
I used it during 2-3 years
But there are some disadvantages for video recording
The main one is the quality of autofocus
Firstly it is slow
and secondly it produced noise in automatic mode: t-t-t-t-t...
The camera records this noise
So I always used the manual focus
This was not comfortable, some scenes were spoiled
Also it is weighty
So I read and watched some YouTube reviews
The most of the authors think that the best camera for YouTube videos 2016 is Sony a6300
I visited the store and found newest model - Sony a6500
I decided to bye it
Unlike the DSLR Canon it is a mirrorless camera
Some of reviewers consider that after Sony a6300 "the era of DSLRs has ended"
What I like about this camera
First of all - 4K
I am going to make videos in 4K
The files becomes very big, they need longer time to upload
but my home internet connection is fast
Secondly good autofocus
It is fast, as far as I remember, 0.05 sec.
and it is noiseless
The camera uses more than 450 points for focusing
I need camera that can work correctly in automatic mode
I bought camera with simple lens: 16-50 mm, f/3.5 - f/5.6 aperture
It is small and it is good for travelling
I bought one more lens
This lens was designed by Sony especially for video recording
It is 18-105 mm, fixed aperture f/4
These are the main reasons I chose this camera
Also this camera uses 5 axis stabilization
It is important in the workshop
24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS Sensor, 20MP for video recording
I am not a specialist in this
So I need a camera to shoot good videos in automatic mode
No additional complex settings, any lighting and so on
As for the weight...
That's why I wanted to show you my new camera
One of disadvantages of this camera is charging only via usb port
So I had to bye a charger and an additional battery
This equipment is not cheap, but leads to good results
I will continue to use Canon mainly for making pictures, stop-motion, etc.
I have some good lens for this camera
fully manual lens, 50 mm and 100 mm fixed lens
I will find a work for this camera

Irish Words Can Mutate! - Duration: 5:46.
A Celtic quiz for you. Does this Irish name start with the sound p, the sound b, or the sound f?
Awww, you knew it was a trick question, huh? Indeed, Irish words can do something
quite unusual. They can mutate their starting sounds.
I'm busy piecing together the epic history of Gaeilge. Tugging at threads, grasping for
one that ties everything together, I'm noticing I barely have time for name drops.
Proto-Celtic - boom - next!
Ogham - boom - next!
Mutation - BOOM - no, no, wait.
Let's explore that one.
In its preliterate days, about the most traumatic thing to happen to the start of Irish words
was that its p's fell off. Without this process today we'd be speaking of Pireland! So while
Rome said piscis and pater, Irish has iasc and athair. Even Ireland's oldest writing
system is missing a sign for that p. But, otherwise, this Ogham script has neat syllables
and beautiful inflected Celtic endings.
Just a couple hundred years later though, Goídelc emerged with a mystery. It was suddenly
so different that it left linguists stumped how Irish could've changed this fast from
Ogham. Out of the blue, or the emerald green, come manuscripts filled with mutations.
Mutations that Irish will never let go of. They come in two flavors. First, soft. That's
a flavor? Séimhiú, lenition, weakens letters into fricatives
or even glides: clann, mo clann.
Deas, dheas. Tú, thú. Some lenitions have changed since Old Irish, like h and ɣ
were once th and dh. We even lost my favorite lenition: today's wɔːr was once ṽoːr.
The old cló settled on marking lenition with a dot. Nowadays, you plop in an h.
Mutation number two is urú, literally darkening or "eclipse". Eclipse automatically turns
any voiceless sound voiced. P, t, c become b, d, g: poc, bpoc, croí, gcroí. Voiced
consonants turn nasal: bóthar, mbóthar. Gaeilge, nGaeilge.
If you count like this book, you'll find a third mutation: hhhaspiration. This one's
about vowels, specifically adding h to vowels after some words that end in a vowel.
Kind of breaks up the two vowels: Old Irish ed but ní hed. And modern Éireann, but na hÉireann.
What makes mutations especially devious is that they're triggered by grammar. If you
asked an Old Irish scribe whose "tech" this is, you better have known the difference between
masculine a /θʲ/ech, feminine a /tʲ/ech and plural a /dʲ/ech! And Modern Irish?
Oh yes, it keeps doing this: a theach, a teach agus a dteach!
This happens go leor. Mac means a son. Muc is a pig. You say an mac but... an mhuc. Why?
Because feminine! Some words trigger an eclipse instead: i bPáras, i mBaile Átha Cliath,
i bhFlorida.
You will be is beidh tú. But if I ask, it's an mbeidh tú?
And if you won't, ní bheidh tú.
With no word for "yes" or "no", mutations are a must.
Where do these transfigurations come from? Recall that those early elegant grammatical
inflections had eroded. This often left Old Irish nothing more than a slender consonant
to mark a meaningful difference: macc, maicc, dún, dúin.
With its endings crumbling around it, Irish noticed something, and just in time: the very
words that triggered these endings had also been messing with beginnings. Triggers ending
in a vowel, like the feminine article, had been softening the next sound: an mac, an mhuc.
Triggers in a nasal, naturally, turned the next sound nasal: Gaeilge, i nGaeilge.
Now, with beginnings in place, triggers themselves were free to erode or even vanish entirely.
Irish had evolved a new way to do grammar.
And when did this happen?
Ask Welsh. Look! Cymraeg has mutations, too!
Well then, clearly these must be inherited,
part of their shared Common Celtic ancestry. I'm told not. Instead,
their parents gave them the tools. Time provided the problem.
Each language came up with its own own solution.
So when you shout to Pádraig, remember to use the vocative: a Phádraig!
When you speak from the heart: ó mo chroí.
And when something's in Irish, it's i nGaeilge.

Michael Flynn Turns On Trump, Will Testify In Exchange For Immunity - Duration: 4:47.
When you are granted immunity, that means you probably committed a crime.
That's not me saying that, those are actually the words that former National Security Advisor
Michael Flynn used on MSNBC in 2016 when he was just an advisor for the Donald Trump campaign,
talking about Hillary Clinton and her staffers.
When you are given immunity, that means you probably committed a crime.
Interesting statement coming from a man who just yesterday requested immunity in exchange
for testifying to the Intelligence hearings on the investigation between Russia and Trump
campaign connections and collusions.
Michael Flynn has asked for immunity in order for him to go forth and testify, which does
likely mean, even regardless of Flynn's previous statement, if you want immunity, you have
to have immunity from something, I'm assuming immunity from prosecution, which means if
you think you're going to prosecuted as Flynn has pointed out, you probably did commit a
crime.
That's beside the point right now.
What we know and what we predicted last week was that the first one to talk is going to
be the first one to walk, and that is what Flynn is doing here.
He is trying to get himself out of trouble by rolling over on the other members of the
Trump Administration and that is exactly what we have been waiting for with these investigations.
Flynn hopefully will come forward with some kind of evidence, evidence greater than just,
oh, Russia created these bots to spread fake news on Facebook, not enough to really show
that they interfered with the election, but that's what the news media is running with
today.
Flynn can offer concrete accounts of what happened, who they talked to, who talked to
whom, who sanctioned these talks, who knew about these talks, what they talked about.
This might be the first time we finally get some real evidence into the collusion between
the Donald Trump campaign and Russian involvement, Russian intelligence, whatever it is, whoever
they talked to.
We may finally get some answers.
In a very weird twist here, Donald Trump tweeted out Friday morning that he's glad Michael
Flynn is seeking immunity in this witch hunt.
This is what he needs, let's take on the Dems and blah, blah, blah.
Do you understand, Donald, what's happening here?
He's not asking for immunity because he's going to take down the Democrats, buddy, he's
coming after you, right?
This guy had to resign because he lied to Mike Pence about ever talking to the Russians
and now he's saying, I'm going to come forward, I'm going to tell you everything if you promise
not to prosecute me.
It's not the Democrats that need to be worried here.
It is Mike Pence and Donald Trump, because Pence was in charge of Donald Trump's transition
team.
They're the ones who vetted Flynn, so it is highly unlikely that Mike Pence didn't know
about the conversations that took place between Flynn and the Russian ambassador.
He had to have known about them.
Were talking about an investigation here that could potentially implicate both the president
and the vice president.
Again, the main thing we need out of this is evidence.
We need to be able to prove some sort of collusion, that they worked together to undermine democracy
in the United States.
Spreading fake news, as deceitful as it may be, is not illegal.
It is not evidence that they stole the election.
Let's stop focusing on that, okay?
If they created bots and spread articles from Breitbart and info wars on Facebook, that's
disappointing that people are that easily duped by those stories, but they would have
found them anyway.
I mean, really, if somebody reads an article on Breitbart and suddenly goes from Democrat
to Republican, they were never a Democrat to begin with, so let's leave the whole bot
bullshit out of it and focus on the fact that we now have a former member of the administration,
a former member of the campaign, willing to come forth and roll over on everyone else
so that we can finally get the information and evidence that we need to take down the
Trump Administration.

hey everybody and our resident mecha
expert, Chad hi there everyone. Alex do
you have any wish list things for macross
I do I mean my main wish would be for
them to just reanimate the SDF show oh
yeah! Oh like Yamato no I mean straight
just the animation, use the same voices,
same vocal tracks, same background music,
same sound effects, and because you can't
replace you know like some of the
classic stuff like Lynn Minmei and
because Hikaru Ichijo especially your Hikaru
Ichijo right you can't redo that guy
yeah no I don't really want to hear new
music from from the show but I think
they should just animate it I don't know
if you guys saw I think we talked about
this the patlabor reboot oh god yes yeah
the animation is it looks on amazing oh
my god it was it was a religious
experience almost it was so good yeah so
you see a lot of people saying like oh
if it was only like the pachinko
animation which I would be totally
against not that the pachinko animation
is bad for what it is but for a full-on
redo of the animation for the original
series it would have to be something
like the patlabor reboot that quality
yeah i agree yeah I like the pachinko
material for what it was but I just I
think people were just like really
really like fans are obviously very
excited to see like the original
characters and the original mecha
reanimated with modern animation
techniques and I admit I was as
much a fan of the pachinko production as
well it was fun time I loved I loved
that material it was it was so much fun
to see I don't think it's high quality
enough to to do a series no not at all
especially the mecha animation and i
also would want to see something like
what was done with patlabor where they
use that sort of level of accomplished
you know cg for you know the animation
quality and and and just the character
art of course it means a lot to me right
so i would i would definitely want to
see that level of quality for the
character and yeah would be would be
interesting a reanimation
certainly would it would help me sell
the show on people who have never
watched it before because as it stands
right now as much as I love, you know
super dimension fortress macross I
almost never introduced it to anybody
and I have it for a long long time let
me talking to probably 10-15 years
because it's just it's just too old
unless you're a fan of that era of
animation there's nothing wrong with
that though those are the only one
people who could really get into it at
that man it's just
it's too far behind you I remember for
the longest time whenever I was trying
to introduce any of my new friends into
anime i would use stuff like cowboy
bebop as their gateway drug so to speak
right and i find that even now today
that's actually getting a little old I
showed it to my roommate and he he liked
it he liked the movie better but yeah I
could I could tell the animation quality
just didn't have enough of a visual
punch compared to all of the other two
modern entertainment that we're used to
not just live action stuff I'm talking
about other animation as well right you
know and not just the pixar
are the DreamWorks films but other like
you know animated shows on television
why not yeah and next SDF is like one of
my favorite stories of all time not just
in anime is just I think just a one of
the greatest classic stories that's been
presented on TV or whatever yeah and I
think it deserves better animation and
you know we all know that they couldn't
do it at the time because of the budget
restrictions and everything but also
from a marketing standpoint I think they
don't have anything to lose I mean first
of all you know you're just reanimating
which is like the hardest thing of
course but they're reanimating the whole
thing and they don't have to spend so
much on I think they remastered
everything already as far as the vocal
tracks and all the you know sound
everything was yeah for the HD
releases and whatnot yeah it's already
been done yeah good done it's easy and
you know what's the best selling a
Valkyrie in the market it still to be VF-1
and for your em to ya reanimate that and
then have a new generation introduced to
the VF-1, the destroids, the sdf-1 yeah
yeah like them just remarketing the same
thing that they've been doing that you
know they could re release all the
arcadia Vakyries and maybe if you
know if it's a bigger hit now than then
they could lower the cost on those toys
and you know and then maybe have like
bigger line I mean right now everybody's
going crazy over the hi-metal R you
know over a show that was shown like 30
what six years ago 37 yeah you're you're
you're not wrong you're not wrong yeah
especially in this in the current
climate as well it's just like it's this
is a climate of
anime right now that caters to the fans in
a way that it's never you know it almost
never has before and I understand that
some people think that era is beginning
to pass and I'm sure it is nothing ever
stays the same now would mean if
new out now would be the time to do it
it'll be too late yeah I agree now would
be the time to do it and I think that
you're right in that production the
budget for a production like this would
be far reduced from like a full-blown
you know animation and what they
everything is done for you the editing
the storyboarding you know all the the
pre-production and everything like that
all the voice work in every it's all
done for you already like yeah you just
have to concentrate on the the animation
and you're getting that right and
everything was would be great if they
can do it with something like Yamato I
see no reason why macross couldn't
benefit for it or any of the other
classic shows you know like the the
Evangelion movies are pretty much a
modern attempt to retell the original
you know Neon Genesis Evangelion with
modern animation right I mean that
they're changing it up a bit and whatnot
but it's just so much of it like when I
went through those movies like so much
of it was very familiar they were
hitting a lot of the same beats you know
getting to the same points in the
stories and as the original television
series got the same sort of tone they're
editing it almost the same I think this
is definitely something that a lot of
fans have talked about you know,
reanimating the original series it's
come up again and again and I think yeah
that's also something that would be a
worthwhile macross production I'd be on
board for that and they could fix stuff
within like without changing like the
audio I mean there how far along are you
Celia I'm up to don't go
single digit on me you've been watching
this for oh hell no I'm trying to
remember the number but like it's after
Minmay wins miss Macross and like she
goes up in a plane with Hikaru and she
falls asleep and I just met her cousin
okay yeah I'm aware of what the
major plot points were after that
something with that um yeah that was
yeah yep because I interested you didn't
you're introduced to her cousin and he
looks like a douchebag I can already
tell he's not a great guy
he's just the biggest douchebag yeah he's
great though he's a great douchebag but
um these are fun is a fun character to
hate oh yeah it was great a good villain
yeah they could takes a lot of stuff
like that but they could totally
recoreograph the knife fight between Max
and Milia right yeah and a lot of
the the episodes that were done by star
pro and yeah those could really benefit
from a reanimation I don't know if
they could solve that problem with Focker's death
that spoiler Celia Focker dies oh I've
known about that this show is 35 years
old guys it's kind of hard I don't know
they could fix that but that'd be
something interesting if they even like
tried you know cuz everybody complained
about that like why did he go straight
to Claudia's house yeah but because he's
going to see the woman he loves
obviously yeah before he passes yeah the
things that I mean I get that and I love
that and I love the whole tragic part of
it but the thing where they screwed up
is they showed the those two guys the
ground crew guys kind of like reacting
to all the blood in the cockpit and I
think that's where everybody kind of
gets confused because if not if there
was that much blood in the cockpit then
you pretty much like how do you not
bleed all the way to Claudia's house
plus he also yeah how do you make it all
that way without being spotted yeah plus
he also managed to change clothes you
know yeah that there's stuff that they
could I've never really been bothered by
that it was just like it was it was more
to the character state of mind I mean he
didn't want to spend his he knew it was
over right at that point he didn't want
to spend the last moments of his life in
a hospital he wanted to spend them with
Claudia exactly I got that right now I do
like the SDF death more than the DYRL
everybody's always saying like oh that
one's better because it makes more sense
no I like it better on the SDF
absolutely yeah i like i like the SDF
version as well that's that's the far
superior version could you imagine how
cool Milia throwing her baby is going
to look in the updated animation thank
you like here
that would be legendary yeah just
everything like there's so many
sequences even that even the well
animated sequences that would be just
great to see in modern techniques like
millia's first appearance oh and she's
delivering the spies to the sdf-1
Macross and whatnot there's that whole
action sequence where she launches where
she gets involved in the fighting that's
taking place around the Macross and
everything like that to even her escape
and stuff you know I would love to see
it choreographed the same way but I
would adore to see it with new animation
techniques and effects I think that
would look just Oh gorgeous yeah the
combat scenes alone would be worth it yeah
yeah that's actually one thing that too
that I like I would want to stipulate as
well like when we're talking about a
reanimation I would want a lot of the
original action sequences or at least
the good one good ones you know which I
would want their choreography kept like
that that battle that fight like the one
where you know the episode where Focker
dies there they have a momentous battle
between Max and Millia and it is the
choreography in that even though the
animation isn't up to it the
choreography is incredible and the
editing of that action sequence it's one
of the best action sequences in all of
macross still to this day just because
of the way it's put together you know
the way that it would the way they
create the action and the tension and
the mentum and everything with it is
just incredible i watch that sequence
and I'm still blown away by it and they
have they have these interesting quick
cuts with some of the mecha as well
where they show just bits and pieces of
the mecha like at various stages while
they're maneuvering and everything and
it's just it's incredible an absolutely
accomplished piece of a animation and
I any sort of reanimating of that I
would want that kept I would want that
staging kept intact absolutely to
editing the staging everything I would
want those the choreography I would want
it all kept intact just using you know
just doing a modern update on it totally
cool so that's my pitch yeah SDF
re-animation
a worthy one if ever there was yeah
that's another thing that a lot of
people want you know they talked about
and I thought yes I thought it was just
me
but you know no that's been
something that's been oh that's that's
appeared over and over again in for like
a lot of years and then the macross that's
my specifics so you know the yeah the
anime fan community as well like I know
lots of people on like anime nation and
ann everything like that they've talked
about it over the years for sure it's
been a popular one absolutely yeah
because i think is for longtime fans we
all loved the original anime and we will
never get tired of watching it even if
it was reanimated i would still watch
the original anime that's how much of a
crazy fan i am but i think we also all
understand that yeah it's like it's it
was never one of the best animated show
as we ever watched you know even for the
time I mean I grew up on like the studio
the studio ghibli films one of my first
anime films I ever watched with Nausicaa
the valley of the wind right which is a
to this day it's a gorgeous yeah
animated movie right and that is very
very old and I love that movie it's just like
you know i would i would love for you
know for macross to have at least
you know some sort of the original
macross to have that kind of you know
quality to it at least or if not like
modern sort of quality and i would i
would definitely be on board for a
reanimation of the classic for sure oh
yeah i think i'd be down for it too
especially as we know that mikimoto art
looks really good in the modern
animation kabaneri of the iron
fortress yeah yes you know and he hasn't
done anything was macross the first
so when he's done with Kabaneri
season two he could work on this one
this reanimating you know would you
start over to a like you're in
the middle would you like say neither
was like we got to start all over again
no I would still finish it um yeah I
still finish mostly because like I think
there is some credit to seeing it in its
original format like because like the
Yamato reboot for example was yamato
2199 because i haven't seen the original
yamato or Star Blazers and but Craig has
them when we review
for reanimated you know he was able to
point out some of the differences and
how they applied some of those
differences was good in the remake but
it's not exactly the same as the
original and that you know sometimes
that happens when you have the reboots
and sometimes it's for it works out
really well like in Yamato 2199 you have
a female pilot that I can't I remember
her name now but she ends up being a
replacement for a pilot was originally
male in the original Yamato if i remember
correctly like it was her brother or
something but it worked out really well
for the for the reboot you know so some
things don't carry over a hundred
percent but with sometimes it works out
for the better of the show so I think it
all really just depends on how they
would handle it there are some things
like you know changing the choreography
for some things that really weren't is
weren't is great the first time around
or like maybe like one of the sequences
that sticks out in my mind is when they
reuse the same animation loop for the
Valkyries flying in and like I think
episode 4 or 5 they're like you could
tell that they reused the same like cell
like same cells for that sequence until
Roy's plane comes in and they had to
paint his you know skull squadron stuff
on last so because they couldn't reuse
it after that you know so so some of
those things I think the reboot was
really nice for for fixing and just
bringing like a an updated freshness to
really Mikimoto's art like that's one of
my favorite things about the original is
Mikimoto's character designs and
his artwork in the original series yeah
I agree I agree very much so they'd have
to keep that character art intact it's
it's as much macross as anything else
any other part of macross the original
well i'm glad you guys are along for
the ride hopefully that's something that
they consider and consider soon like we
mentioned you know it's now or never
well yeah it's definitely does not never
but yeah it would be it would be most
appropriate you know in this in the
current era for sure let's close it out

Latinx Items That Are "Lazy" | Disabled y Latinx - Duration: 2:13.

You've seen it before.
A new gadget, often a cooking gadget
goes on the market and people say.
"This is just making people lazy!"
Mainstream media and people find these new gadgets
as a negative thing.
They view it as another way for people not to work
to get what they want.
But as my friend Annie has pointed out,
often times these gadgets have disability in mind.
And if they didn't, they're happy accidents
that benefit the disabled community.
It's no surprise that my own Latinx community
seems to have the same anger towards new gadgets
because they view them as lazy and
"not traditional".
Take for example this tortilla maker.
I came in contact with this machine thanks to a post
by We Are Mitú.
But I couldn't help but notice the comment section
and everyone in there being angry towards
this machine because it takes away the tradition
of making a tortilla.
They called it a "lazy gringo" invention.
Or this piñata, I also came across this
from a post by We Are Mitú
and the comments were pretty much the same.
"You're taking away a child's fun."
"It's not a real piñata."
But I'm here to tell that, that tortilla maker
is not a "lazy gringo" invention.
And that piñata may not be the piñata you use,
but it's still a piñata.
They are both items that can help make
Disabled Latinx lives easier.
Tortillas made by hand take time and are a lot of work.
You need full control of your hands and energy
to make those delicious circular gems.
But there are some Disabled Latinx who can't do that.
This machine gives them a chance
to be the closest to making tortillas
by hand which in turn keeps them close to their culture.
And that piñata, there are some Disabled Latinx
who can't hit it.
Leaving them out of a fun party because
a "regular" piñata is inaccessible to them.
This type of piñata gives Disabled Latinx
a chance to have the freedom to enjoy
a party and get candy like any other kid.
Although I will say the video advertising
the piñata is a little bit problematic
but we'll save that for another day.
No one's saying you can't make tortillas the traditional way.
And no one's saying you can't buy a piñata
that you whack with a stick.
All I'm saying is if you see an item that's modified
so it's easier to use,
don't knock it as being lazy
or not traditional so it's not right.
These kinds of items can help keep Disabled Latinx
close to their culture.
Stop demonizing them.
