for myself specifically having sort of a personal investment in what I'm learning

being able to see the value in it you know understanding why I'm putting so

much time and effort into what I'm learning and being able to see sort of

where I can take it in the future and how I can use it later on to not only help

myself but hopefully help others and what really motivated me was one how

approachable the professor was and the class environment so where the class

environment it was my first time really working with my peers in an insane

amount of group projects and group activities and it really allowed me to

get to know the people that I was working with what I find really makes a

difference in the classroom is being given a certain level of autonomy

for example if a professor gives you the option of writing paper or doing a project that

really helps when you're able to engage with the subject matter in a way that's more personally relevant

bring in different forms of media so videos and different um, you know like I said newspapers or social media outlets and things that

are engaging with your topic as well as tying it to the person's individual life

I think that that can help foster at least a little bit of curiosity and interest

in the topic

Jonghyuns fans were disappointed that he did not appear on Grammys Memoriam.

Remember Jonghyun, Key (SHINee) suddenly shared old clips of two brothers in the studio.

Fans put Jonghyuns last album on top of iTunes in nearly 20 countries.

On January 28th, the 60th Grammy Awards took place at Madison Square Garden, New York.

During this event, a memorial movie was shared on the big screen to commemorate the death of the artist in 2017.

However, SHINee fans realized that Jonghyun did not appear in this movie.

Many people have expressed their anger and frustration on social networks: We need to talk about the lack of respect for the Grammy to Jonghyun when they do not put him on the memorial list, Jonghyun deserves.

Grammy can not even take a moment to honor Jonghyun in the memorial part.

they are so despicable and pathetic..

Fan said that Jonghyun deserves recognition at the ceremony with all his dedication to K-pop, and also because of a suicide performance that took place immediately after the memorial.

They can join the other young professionals who find Richardson a

buy a home. Of course once you're raised here and work here then you'll be

comforted to know that you'll also want to retire here.

That's because Richardson also claimed fifth place in the nation on good calls

list of best places to buy a forever home and where do you look to find a

forever home? Well it turns out there's a list for that too.

RedFin says if you want to locate near a tech hub then Richardson's

Arapaho Heights neighborhood is the number one hottest Hood in the Metroplex.

That's good news to those into cyber security because as it turns out

Richardson is also the 12th best city in the nation for people with those geeky

types of abilities to locate. However we do feel compelled to tell you about one

ranking we rated near the bottom of realtor.com says Richardson is one of

the worst cities to thrive should the zombie apocalypse ever arrive.

It says our proximity to a large urban center lack of a nearby military base and low

number of manufacturing workers all hurt our chances though we did still rank

highly for access to health care workers percentage of homes with solar panels

and access to large amounts of fresh water. Hey, we don't research this stuff we just report it.

This is fantastic as we now can easily transport our children from Pre K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade.

Imagine them each morning as they settle into their seats they will be happy to be on this awesome bus

When they get off the bus, they will all receive their first meal of the day (if they did not come to our school, many would only eat once all day)

What a great bus that we have been blessed with thanks to your generous contributions!!!

Thank you all for making this happen for the very poorest children in the Western Hemisphere. Thank you for feeding them spiritually, physically, and mentally.

So we know that in a lab setting at higher temperatures, insects reach

maturity sooner -- resulting in smaller adult body size. And given that global

temperatures have increased over the past century we were curious whether we

see similar trends in nature.

As a part of our insect ecology class we measured

body size of beetles to see if they have changed over time.

We measured 6,500 beetles across eight species from the Beaty Biodiversity

Museum collection.

And we photographed each box with a ruler next to it for

scale. We measured the body size using a computer software and we noted when and

where they were collected. All this information was analyzed with climate

data using statistics.

The largest species of beetles have shrunk about 20 per cent

over the last 45 years. When we added the climate data to our analysis we realized

that the warming temperatures have contributed to the shrinkage of beetle

body sizes.

Beetles are one of the most widespread and diverse groups of animals

on earth. They're found in almost all ecosystems and they play very important

roles -- for instance in pest control -- so now that we know that beetles are

shrinking we need to do more research to determine the effect of shrinking

beetles in nature and if other organisms are shrinking as well.

From fighting over Transformer insurance to an argument about toilet paper, the Planet

Dolan crew re-enacts some of the best true stories from our subreddit about the dumbest

things people ever witnessed a fight about.

Number 10 was Submitted by TwelfthHawk2718 Dolan

Once on a bus ride, Dolan was sitting in between his two best friends.

Dolan jokingly had a theory that they might be aliens, so he asked them questions that

only the real people would know.

They actually took it seriously, and started fighting about who Dolan had ASKED MORE QUESTIONS

TO!

They managed to squeeze half an hour of fighting in about this, and then refused to talk to

each other for the next two days.

One day at a Wal-Mart, Ursa saw a man and a woman arguing with each other.

The woman was screaming things like, "I always get this kind!" and "why don't

you go kill yourself?"

She poked her head around the corner and saw what they were fighting over, and had to walk

The woman was fighting with the guy over a 12 pack of toilet paper.

Eventually, employees had to kick her out of the store and they said she was banned

from ever going there again.

Legna and Slapped Ham one day, and they were playing Connect 4.

Legna used a really sneaky move and Slapped Ham called him out on it, but Legna went on

to use the same sneaky move in the next four games.

All of a sudden Slapped Ham stood up, threw the game across the room, and punched Legna

in the face.

JamesShark just scooted back and watched the fight happen.

Soon, Slapped Ham's mom came to break them up and ended up getting punched as well.

For 2 straight minutes it was silent as they all thought about how a bunch of 16-year-olds

were fighting over Connect 4.

JamesShark came out unscathed from the fight, but then his friends beat him up the next

week for abandoning them to the wrath of Slapped Ham's mom.

a loud commotion burst into his classroom.

A circle of people formed around 2 kids.

One of the kids was holding 2 erasers and he started yelling, "WHICH DAMN ERASER IS

The other kid then yells, "I DONT KNOW ASSHOLE!"

Then, they started punching and kicking each other.

The teacher broke up the fight and both were suspended for 3 weeks.

Zaraganba still laughs every time he thinks about it.

at a local department store.

Russ Trolls were all the rage for some reason, and the store was advertising them for $14.99.

There was also a knockoff brand by another company for $12.99.

It didn't take long for a customer to get into an argument with the department manager

because he SWORE the Russ Trolls were $12.99, and he DEMANDED he be sold one at $12.99.

Soon into the argument his wife stormed over to the manager and claimed she saw the TV

ad showing the Russ Trolls at $12.99.

A crowd gathered, and soon there were nearly 20 grown adults, ALL yelling and demanding

the Russ Trolls for $12.99.

They actually ran down the doll aisle to grab them before the head of security told the

crowd that he would take their names and phone numbers and give them a call once everything

was "sorted out".

He offered to show them our copy of the ad (both TV and print) and a person yelled "I

don't NEED to see that!

I KNOW what I saw!".

All this to save TWO DOLLARS on a Russ Troll.

Pringle got himself into a conversation about whether Transformers would have life insurance

or car insurance.

Pringle decided it would probably be both.

But two burly guys were arguing about it, and it escalated into a fistfight.

Pringle tried to break it up, but one of the guys went a little too rough and Pringle left

school that day with a black eye.

Number 4 was Submitted by ShogunAssassin_Alice Melissa

Melissa went with her mom to do some food shopping for Thanksgiving at Walmart, and

as usual the place was packed.

They were just about done and looking for dinner rolls when they heard shouting.

What they saw was two women fighting over a Patti LaBelle sweet potato pie!

One woman had her hands on the top and bottom of the pie box and the other woman had her

hands on the sides.

Both of them were shouting like their lives depended on this ONE pie.

Finally, the women were asked to leave for disrupting other shoppers.

Number 3 was Submitted by soulknight5 Ladybot Ladybot's sister was making a sandwich one

day, and she put 4 pieces of ham on it.

Her mom and dad were also in the kitchen and they were sitting right next to Ladybot's

sister watching her make the sandwich.

Ladybot's mom got mad and started yelling that she put too many pieces of ham on the

sandwich.

Then her dad got mad and started yelling at her mom about yelling for no reason.

Ladybot leaned over to her other sister and said, "it's kinda weird that they're fighting

about a sandwich."

The fight went on for a bit but after a few minutes Ladybot just walked away, and could

still hear them yelling from down the hall.

at break time when and they heard 2 girls screaming at each other and fighting.

Tolop and Spincess rushed over to stop it, but the girls punched them, so they got a

teacher to stop the fight.

The four of them were sent to the principal's office where they were asked why they were

fighting.

Tolop and Spincess said they were trying to stop the fight.

The other girls said they were fighting over what's better between chocolate or strawberry.

A few days later, the same two girls fought AGAIN over apples and bananas.

I would describe Transparent Container as a fun, interesting, family.

It's fun, challenging.

Challenges. Family.

I would describe Transparent Container as unique, thoughtful, and caring.

My title is Custom Packaging Project Manager.

I did not start there. I actually started as a temp, became Sales Assistant and

then, ultimately, a Custom Packaging Project Manager.

Newcomers don't have to be afraid about getting pigeon-holed into a certain position.

Several of the employees here started as something completely different.

And if you don't know the answer to something you're trying to learn, there is always somebody

there that will give you a hand to understand it.

People actually empower you to go and take classes and get better positions.

Their tuition reimbursement program, which I'm using, is amazing. It really takes any kind of stress off of

furthering your education.

People are the biggest asset we have, so having people with knowledge makes it a better company.

I like to learn, so they give me the opportunity to move on so I take it, learn something new.

Transparent Container really wants it's employees to have some sort of plan for the future, so they

offer a 401k, so that you can have it for later. That's amazing.

the wellness program I certainly participate in that's trying to make sure all

employees have a healthy lifestyle. Part of the healthy lifestyle is health club reimbursement.

I do triathlons and workout a lot so I took advantage of the

wellness program which is great.

We have profit sharing, our insurance is incredible.

Transparent really offers a full package to create a happy work experience.

The heart of Transparent Container is family. Everybody cares about everybody else.

We have manufacturing engineers like myself, but we're also devoted to

I come into work every day because I enjoy what I do and

DARK TRUTH Behind Viral Peru Rat Shower Video Exposed - Duration: 2:36.

Practically everyone on the internet has seen the adorable video of a rat enjoying the shower.

But many animal activists have come forward to reveal the dark truth behind the viral

sensation.

For starters, its not a rat.

You've probably seen this video and if you haven't, heres a clip.

It shows a rodent standing next to a drain covered in soap.

The rodent appears to lather itself up with soap and wash itself in circle motions.

The reason why the internet loved it is because the rodent looks like its showering like a

human.

I mean, its standing up on its hind legs, scrubbing its pits.

it might as well have a mini loofah in one hand and a shower cap.

While the rodent seems to enjoy his shower, The people who are taking the video can be

heard giggling in the background.

Apparently the shower went on for about 30 seconds before the rat ran off.

So starting things off, this animal is not a rat.

It does not have a rat tail.

According to Dallas Krentzel, an evolutionary biologist, It is most likely a young paracana

or another type of south American rodent.

The video was taken in peru.

What seems like a light hearted video of an adorable rodent scrubbing himself down with

soap, is actually very strange, unnatural behaviour, and it very well might be a video

of a rodent in pain.

According to Elisa Allen, director of PETA, rodents don't need soap and water to clean

themselves.

Another rat expert said that it is likely that the animal wasn't showering, but it

was in pain and it was scrubbing an irritant, which was the soap or shampoo it was covered

in.

Rodents don't scrub themselves like that unless there was something on it that it was

trying to get off.

All the while, the people taking the video didn't think to maybe, I don't know, wash

off the soap?

Or maybe not put soap on the rat in the first place?

The person who took the video Jose Correa, has updated the video with a statement in

response to the backlash, and said 'if you are worried about a rat that was filmed taking

a shower, why don't you worry about poverty and hunger in the world?

Why don't you feed the poor on the streets?

Tonight Bernie Sanders gave his own response to President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech, just after Trump's speech finished.

Sanders wasn't the official Democrat response — that honor went to Rep.

Joe Kennedy III.

But Sanders' response still drew a lot of excitement and interest.

His response wasn't broadcast on television.

Rather, he broadcast his speech live on social media.

Last year, Bernie gave a 14-minute long response in a video that he posted to Facebook that ended up with more than 8 million views on Facebook alone.

This year's speech was equally inspiring, as he called out Trump for promises from his campaign that weren't kept, and called on the American people to keep fighting for the working class and people in need.

Why didn't Sanders give the official Democratic response? It's likely because he's now an Independent again in Vermont.

Kennedy and Sanders agree on some policies, but differ on some key political points, including cannabis.

Kennedy is against marijuana legalization. Marijuana Moment reported that in 2015, JK3 (as he's sometimes called) was one of 10 House Democrats to vote against a measure that would protect medical cannabis patients and providers from being prosecuted by the federal government.

Meanwhile, Kennedy and Sanders both support the Affordable Care Act, but Kennedy isn't quite as sure about single-payer.

He says he supports single-payer in theory, but wasn't sure about certain details in Coyners' recent bill.

Kennedy was also a big supporter of Hillary Clinton. Sanders ended up campaigning for Clinton and attending some rallies in support of her after he ended his campaign.

Elizabeth Guzman, a member of the Virginia state legislature, delivered a Spanish-language response, officially sponsored by the Democrats.

Rep.

Maxine Waters from California gave a response during a BET news special.

And Donna F.

Edwards, a former Maryland Congresswoman, gave an address for the Working Families Party.
