Waching daily Mar 30 2017

Hi everyone!

This is Jen Wynia here.

Welcome to my channel, this is my first ever YouTube Video and I really appreciate you

taking some time to watch it today.

I've been thinking for a few months now of starting a YouTube Channel, and I haven't

done it because I've been afraid that I didn't have the knowledge necessary to create a good

YouTube Video.

Like one with the banners and the music, and the cutting and all of that stuff, so this

video that you are seeing today, there's absolutely no cutting or editing or anything.

I have no idea where to start with that.

I am sure with time I will learn and get better!

I really just wanted to put this message out there, that sometimes when we are unsure or

afraid of something or looking to do something that's really outside of our comfort zone,

we may look for reasons to avoid doing it.

Just like me with this video, reasons like, I don't know what I'm doing, it's preventing

me from actually getting out there and doing it!

And, to just take that fear, kick it to the side, and sometimes you might really surprise

yourself.

Things might actually go better than you thought!

One thing I am also doing right now is I am in the process of launching my own coaching

business - online based coaching business - it's at www.jenwynia.com and I am a Career

and Personal Success Coach.

So I am looking to help other women out there who are looking to uplevel in their career,

looking to move forward and really feel confident in their professional life, but also getting

that strength in their personal life as well - so that they can be their best at the office,

they can be the best version of themselves at home, and even if you are a women who is

looking to start her own business, my job is to walk with you in finding out what is

that, what does that look like for you, and keeping you accountable in taking the steps

to move forward, to reach those goals and to get that life that you are hoping for,

that you are dreaming of.

Because, it really is possible.

Six months ago, I was at home on my maternity leave and I knew that I wanted to do more,

I knew that I could do more, and I never thought that being a business owner or doing a YouTube

Video was something that I could even accomplish.

I've connected with some really great people over the last six or more months, and I'm

actually at a point where - here I am, I'm almost ready to launch my business!

I am super excited about it and I can't wait to get to know all of you out there.

So please do feel free to send any questions or inquiries or even any tips and feedback

on my videos as I'm learning how to make videos!

I would definitely appreciate it.

So that's all I wanted to share today, I'm hoping to post videos at least once a week

so please check back, and I hope that you all have a really great weekend ahead!

Talk to you soon!

Bye!

Quran #3 - A Skeptical Examination (Child Marriage, Monkeys + More!) - Duration: 6:26.

We Interrupt This video to Bring You This Important Public Service Announcement.

TheVeganAtheist has launched a new Youtube Channel devoted to veganism.

All future vegan videos will be uploaded to that channel.

Make sure to head on over and subscribe.

Now, back to this scheduled video.

Enjoy.

Hi everyone, welcome back to TheVeganAtheist.

In this video I bring back, by popular demand,The Quran , a skeptical analysis.

This series has undergone a name change due to recent videos being flagged as not friendly

to advertisers.

For those new to the series, each video exposes 3 outrageous or immoral passages found in

the world's second most popular book.

If you believe in this big book of ancient fantasy then you ought to know about all the

questionable and immoral things it has to say.

Vote which verse you think deserves this week's Golden Turd award in the comment section below.

Now lets get our hands dirty!

"Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed

period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the

same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver

their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy."

Oh... did you miss that....

Yes instructions on getting married with a girl who has not reached puberty... in other

words a child.

These verses are outlining 3 categories of females and the rules of marriage for each.

Category 1 are adult women who have either reached menopause or who do not menstruate.

Category 2 are females who have not yet menstruated.

"Yet" is the operative word here.

These females are pre-pubescent girls.

Children!

An actual category for rules in remarrying a child.

This blows my mind.

A child can be remarried after a 3 month waiting period.

(pause and sigh) If this doesn't call for a swear word, nothing does.

Fucking disgusting.

The last category are for already pregnant women.

They are not allowed to be remarried until the give birth.

It saddens me to contemplate the number of people across the world who think that the

Quran is actually a sacred book with divine authorship.

They either have to accept that its okay to marry children, or they have to ignore verses

like this to keep on believing.

I can hear it already, some Muslim apologists explaining away these verses by appealing

to cultural, regional and historical justifications.

But there are no rational justifications for marrying a child.

If Allah exists, and he wrote a book for humans to guide their actions, he ought to have written

it for all of us for all time, not for a select group of desert nomads who happened to already

practiced child marriage.

An all powerful, all moral being ought to have known better.

"And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes,

despised and hated!

And We made it an example to their own and to succeeding generations, and an admonition

to the Allah-fearing."

you heard that right.

People (specifically the jews) who broke the Sabbath were turned into apes.

The imagery is funny alone, but its ironically funny for a number of other reasons.

1) humans are already apes, one of the great apes in fact.

2) The author of the Quran, clearly not an all knowing god, didn't know that humans are

apes 3) For some reason, being an ape is made out

to be an insult.

What the hell did a wild ape ever do to you?

It's to be expected that an ancient book written by primitive men got basic biology wrong,

but not if a god authored it.

Its clear to those not indoctrinated into this religious nonsense that this book is

just more evidence of Islam being full of shit.

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider

unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion

of truth from those who were given the Scripture - fight until they give the jizyah willingly

while they are humbled."

A Quranic verse encouraging Islamic terrorism?

(gasp) Who's shocked?

For all those peaceful Muslims of the world... thank you for being selective in the verses

you use to guide your daily actions.

I will not deny that there are verses in the Quran that instruct Muslims to be good, peaceful

loving people.

But... you cannot rationally discount verses like these that instruct the polar opposite.

The large majority of the 1.5 billion muslims worldwide cherry pick what passages they follow,

just like the infidels of all other major faith traditions.

It's easier, as a believer to continue on believing, by putting the uncomfortable bits

out of sight and out of mind... to pick the nice bits and ignore the nasty.

But... that is not intellectually honest.

If you claim to believe the Quran is Allah's message to the world, then all of it is Allah's

message... and that is a seriously scary proposition.

There you have it.

3 crazy Quranic verses.

Which passage would you vote to win this week's Golden Turd Award.

Would it be: 1) Instructions on how long you have to wait

to marry a child 2) A recounting of when Allah turned Jews

into apes or

3) An encouragement to engage in Islamic terrorism

Notice What's in the Room (Impulse) - Duration: 3:49.

hello Elissa Weinzimmer here founder of

voice body connection and vocal health

educator so I shared on my blog last

week that I lost my voice it is coming

back now which is very exciting and

we've reached a new loop of the

beginning of how to warm up my video

warm-up series and so we're starting

back with the idea of impulse so if you

haven't watched the intro video yet the

way these videos work is that we're going

through impulse body breath sound

resonance articulation and language in

order to explore all the different

aspects of our voice that need to be

warmed up so we're back at the top of

the loop for impulse and I'm really

excited to show this exercise today so

this exercise is actually something that

really gets your brain and your speaking

connected so to some degree it actually

really connects impulse to language all

the way through all the elements that I

just listed it so here's how it works

what you're going to do is wherever you

are in the situation you're in you're

going to start saying what you see and

you just have to say everything out loud

and there are a couple rules about this

you cannot pause for an extended period

of time you cannot hold your breath you

have to keep letting your breath hang

around as I like to say and you have to

keep using language which basically is

the rule I already said so it would go

something like this I would say I am

talking to my iphone right now and my

iphone has a pink case in case you

wanted to know and it's sitting on a

tripod and my yellow water bottle is

over there and I am in a room in New

York City at the school that I teach and

there are black panels on the wall behind

me and I'm feeling a little bit warm

because of it's hot in this room and I'm thinking

that today is a beautiful day okay now

that was actually important the last

thing that just happened so the rules

other rule about the impulse exercise

that we're doing which I call notice

what's in the room is that it's really

really important that you don't start

going into speculation so what this

exercise does is it keeps us really

present with the exact circumstances

that we're which we want to stay

present when we're starting to perform

so we can really really be in whatever

space we're in in the performance

whether it's a scene whether it's a song

whether we are doing an interview so

when you start to go into speculation what I

mean by speculation is starting to

wonder about the circumstances so you

want to talk about the circumstances

without wondering about them so there's

a window over outside t of the frame over here

if I were to say there's a window over

here and I wonder what's happening

outside I wonder what's happening in the

other window that I can see that's going

into speculation right now if you

haven't done anything evil if you start

going into speculation it's natural the

rule is that you have to keep talking so

I get it but as soon as you notice that

you've gone into speculation the rule is

you have to pull yourself back to the

present moment so then you have to say

the floor is made of wood and there is a

television over there against the wall

and there is an outlet into which the

light that is shining on me is plugged

does that make sense yeah so you have to

just stay in the present moment it's the

notice what's around you or notice

what's in the room exercise and if you

do it as a very beginning of your warmup

because this is indeed an impulse exercise

it will really get the juices flowing so

that you're really present where you are

and you're able to do the rest of your

warm up in a way that you're not

ignoring the outside world or

withdrawing yourself from the outside

world but you're really truly staying

present so enjoy this I know it's a little

bit of a atypical warm up type thing

but I think it's a really useful thing to

put in your routine and if you have any

questions or if you want to tell me

something funny that came out of your

mouth during this exercise let me know

awesome see you guys soon

HeatherAsh Amara - Women, Power & Leadership - Duration: 5:46.

Hi, today we're here with HeatherAsh Amara and we're here to talk about Women Power,

and Leadership.

These are all very important topics.

What can you tell us about Women, Power, and Society today?

As women, it's really important for us to step back into our power.

And we're in a big paradigm shift I feel like, as women that we've been trained to give our

power to other people, to constantly compare ourselves and it's time for us to step back

into what power is and to find power.

Women's power is not about power over, that's the old motto which is I have power because

I have more stuff for more authority over you.

Women's power is power from within that I am powerful in my way and I recognize you

are powerful in your way.

And that there's deep respect in honoring.

There's not a need to compare because we know that we're each different.

And this is a new form of leadership as well that instead there's one leader and everybody

else follows, we're learning as women how each of us can come back into our leadership

and support each other in being leaders for ourselves, for our communities and for society

in general.

How do you go about teaching women leadership, or teaching women empowerment skills that

they can use in their day-to-day lives?

That's something that is woven everything that I do because as women, when we come back

to our authenticity, we come back home as I think about it.

That automatically puts us back into our power.

So, the old way that we've done it usually is I'm powerful if I'm perfect.

If I follow all these rules that I've made up, or that I've learned about how I should

be. But the truth is we're powerful when we're vulnerable.

When we're present.

When we're willing to be ourselves fully.

And I also teach programs specifically for women that want to be leaders in their communities.

There's a program, Warrior Goddess Facilitator Training for example, that teaches women how

to teach different skills around the Warrior Goddess teachings.

But really at its foundation, it's about teaching women how to empower other women through becoming

leaders.

So, you've gone through this process yourself obviously or we wouldn't be here.

Can you tell us a short story about your journey in finding your voice as a leader?

There is so many times, opportunities where I've been asked to get bigger.

Even when I first starting teaching, I was super shy, I did not think of myself powerful

at all.

And my best-friend and I decided to do a class because we wanted to share what we're learning

and 60 people showed up.

Right there, my friend say, "Okay you take 30, and Ill take 30."

And I was like, "Okay."

But I had to step up, I had to show up because there were women present that we're asking

for that.

And so that happens to me constantly, is that place of thinking I can't do this.

But then looking at the opportunity, or looking at what's being called for me, it invites

me to reach deeper and say, "Yes, I can do this."

And as women, we are much powerful than we think we are.

And when we're put in the situations when that leadership is pulled out of us, I've

seen women do things that they had no idea was inside of them.

And that's true for all of us.

We have that power.

I know the way we talk about things is very important, we can color a conversation with

the words we choose.

When you're talking about women and power, speech is such a critical tool.

Is there anything that you can point out where women can find power and the beginnings of

leadership through their language?

Absolutely.

One way is to start watching for the places that we put ourselves down without realizing

it.

We judge ourselves, we compare ourselves.

And the first part of reclaiming our power is to be aware, to just start with being aware

of what we're doing.

And then slowly start to change the voices in our head.

And it takes time.

It's not going to happen instantaneously, but it's that awareness of claiming I'm

responsible for what I'm telling myself and I'm powerful because once I see it, then I

have the opportunity to change it. And also, any woman that wants to come into power

- unique community, you have to have community to support you because we're undoing a lot

of old beliefs and agreements and so getting support is vital.

Thank you, HeatherAsh.

Thank you.
