Hey artists!

I know it can be difficult to talk about your work in English, or to present it, or critique it,

or to write an artist statement.

Don't worry!

I can help!

My bachelor's degree was in fine art, and I studied drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking,

photography, and digital art.

I learned art and design principles, color theory, and how to give and receive

a critique of my work.

After college, I began doing freelance work in graphic design and web design, so I have

about 20 years of design experience as well.

I got a master's degree in teaching English (ESL), and I worked at an art university

for almost five years.

I helped the students there to write their artist statements, learn vocabulary for their majors,

present their work with confidence, and participate in critique.

Those students had very different English levels and came from many different majors,

but I used the same techniques to help them all.

and how to give a good critique.

I'll teach you the vocabulary you need to describe your work, with correct pronunciation.
