Waching daily Oct 8 2017

- I feel like I'm harboring a secret.

We have all of these videos in our graveyard

that we filmed and edited

but actually have not seen the light of day.

(upbeat music)

- Hi, I'm Chris Chan

and I work here at cut.com, I'm a visual anthropologist.

This is our weekly series called Chansplaining

in which I chansplain to you some of the things

behind the scenes here at Cut.

So, I just want to talk a little bit

about all of the secret videos

that will never get released on our channel

and a little bit about

why we take so seriously what does go on the channel.

So, first video.

Grandmas Read 50 Shades of Grey.

- "Holy shit.

"His other hand grabs my hair

"and yanks down,

"bringing my face up in his lips are on mine."

- Ooh.

I loved watching the footage

from the grandmas 50 Shades shoot

because so many of them are so candid about their sex lives.

But unlike the Grandmas Smoking Weed video

or the Grandmas Reviewing Sex Toys video,

at the end we don't really get the sense

that our expectations are subverted.

Like, we don't get the sense that

these are not just grandmothers.

I don't think it really holds up

to some of the other grandma videos we've done.

But because we're naughty, I'm gonna show you

some snippets of it here.

- "What?

"Oh my.

"'I need washing, too,' he murmurs."

Oh, are we going for the anal here?

- "My inner goddess is thrilled.

"I can do this.

"I can fuck him with my mouth."

- "My breasts swell and my nipples harden

"under his steady gaze."

- "I'm beyond warm, warm and chilled and wanting,

"wanting him inside me now."

Sorry, I'm smiling.

- "He wants me to touch him.

"Hm, okay, bring it on."

Do I go further?

- You guys know that another series

that really put Cut on the map

was a 100 Years of Beauty.

The classic beauty time-lapse series

that's super viral an has been replicated many times.

The thing about 100 Years of Beauty,

it's a nightmare to produce 'cause it takes so much work

and so much energy from so many different people,

and if one thing goes wrong, it can actually

kind of ruin the project.

So, in the case of 100 Years of Beauty UK,

we experimented a little.

So the inspiration that we drew a lot from

for 100 Years of Beauty UK

was the royal family and women in it over the years.

But if you know anybody from England

then they will be the first to tell you

that they actually make fun of the royal family all the time

and their fashion and their hairstyles.

And so as we were making our model up

to reference all these people,

it just did not exactly hit the nail on the head

and it doesn't really stand up

to some of the other videos in the series

that draw from more diverse sources.

Okay, what's another one?

We filmed a game show once.

It was called Ultimate.

Never saw the light of day, sadly.

It's a simple concept, actually.

We have two people playing a really simple game,

like thumb war or tic-tac-toe or something,

only the loser has to spin a huge wheel

that has really horrible, humiliating,

disturbing dares on it.

- No! - Oh, Nikki.

(laughing)

Wait, no!

Oh, that's close. - Fuck this shit!

- The idea's that we'd subvert

the traditional game show format in which

most of the show is about the gameplay

and the strategy and stuff

and there's a prize at the end.

In this case, it's like horrible,

horrible, horrible punishment

and that the game itself becomes a game of suspense.

The video was fun to make but

it maybe didn't become like the splendid piece of art

that we wanted it to be.

I feel bad because Nikki smashed her phone

with a sledgehammer because she lost.

That said, I think we learned a lot from making it

and the potential that you see in Ultimate,

we have brought to life in Would You Rather,

which is our other game show.

- Like, hey, would you rather do this horrible thing

or this horrible thing?

- We present the punishments up front

and then spend the entire episode with these guys

struggling, considering which one to do.

- Tooth could get knocked out, broken finger, broken toe.

- I'm not gonna do that.

- No! - I'm not gonna do that.

- You also might see a little bit of that game

in another series we do, Fear Pong,

which is, again, a simple game

with the tension and the suspense

about humiliation and awkward, cringe-moments

and stuff like that.

- Have a Lady and the Tramp-style kiss with your opponent.

Oh my God.

Okay, okay, okay, okay.

(giggling)

(laughing)

- I'll just say, you know, working at Cut

is a dream job, but part of that dream

is killing your babies sometimes

and cutting the projects that don't quite hit the target.

And I promise you, we'll make more videos

that we'll cut.

It's not anything personal, it's just

if we released everything that we thought of and filmed,

you wouldn't be here, because you kind of

have an expectation about

the content you'll see on this channel.

All right, thanks so much, you guys,

for coming to Chansplaining and watching me chansplain.

I can't believe you made it this far.

Well, if you did, leave a comment or a question below.

You know I read them.

Don't forget to like us on Facebook,

don't forget to tag your grandmother.

See you in hell.

5 Terrifying Video Games - Horror Month 2017 - Day 8 - Duration: 4:23.

Geeky Gaming Hey Geeks, it's Andrea.

Welcome back to day 8 of the second Horror Month.

If you're just joining us, you have missed the first 7 days, but have no fear, we still

have 3 weeks to go.

Also it's YouTube so you can just go check them out at any time.

If you don't know what Horror Month is, it is 31 Horror-Themed countdowns in 31 days.

Today we are going to take a look at 5 Terrifying Horror Games.

Alright Geeks, let's go.

5.

Five Nights at Freddy's This is definitely the most simple game on

this list, but it is certainly up there in scare factor.

Assuming you are terrified of jump scares.

Actually..

When this game first came out, I didn't really know what it was and I played it for

about a couple minutes before immediately uninstalling it and never reinstalling it

again.

You learn pretty quickly that it is a jump scare game.

Well, at least I did.

Jump scares get me every single time.

Even when I know they're about to happen.

So if you are like that, you will either love or hate this game.

Although it is so popular, you probably know that already.

4.

Condemned: Criminal Origins Here is a bit of an older one for you.

Condemned is actually over 10 years old, and it certainly shows.

Don't let that turn you away from the game though, it is certainly worth a play through.

You get to play as Ethan Thomas, an SCU investigator who shows up to investigate a murder and things

get really weird really fast.

3.

Soma I remember being so excited when this game

was about to come out back in 2015.

So excited that as soon as it was out, I watched the entire game streamed in one sitting.

I don't regret a minute of it either.

I don't know why anyone would be, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I was watching SodaPoppin.

He is actually one of my favorite steamers to watch.

Anyway, this game is a bit of a mind game.

There are some decisions that you have to make that are devastating.

There is one in particular I really want to talk about, but I don't want to ruin it

for anyone who hasn't played through it yet.

The base idea of the game is that you go in for a brain scan and wake up from that brain

scan many many years later.

Well, kinda..

You lived your live, but your consciousness at the point you went in for a brain scan

is now in a new body, so the brain scan is placed in the body.

It's a lot more simple than I'm making it sound.

There are a couple moments where you can duplicate your consciousness to put it into another

body.

The dilemma is, your previous consciousness still stays there.

Seriously, play through it.

You will know which decision is impossible to me.

2.

Siren Siren, to me, has a very traditional horror

game feel to it.

That isn't by any means an insult.

If anything it is a compliment, and is definitely worth a play through.

Especially if you like to play horror games more stealthily.

Which will make playing the game a lot easier.

Siren is 15 or so years old at this point, so it has some years on it, but if you hate

looking at old graphics you are actually in luck with this one.

You can pick it up for just 10 bucks to play on your ps4 in 1080p.

Although the original renders really weren't that bad.

1.

Silent Hill 2 Speaking of old games, Silent Hill 2 came

out in 2001 and it is still considered one of the best horror games out there by many

gamers.

It is a classic that if you don't get a chance to play through, you really should

at least watch someone play it.

I feel like it is maybe my favorite Silent Hill game.

Okay so if you don't have an old copy and you're wanting to buy it, you might have

to fork up a bit of cash on top having an old PS2 to play it on.

I can't recommend you download PC version of the game through any not so legal avenues,

so I won't say that.

I will just say I really hope you get your hands on it and give it a play through.

It's totally worth it.

Alright Geeks, that's going to do it for this video.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me today.

Can you believe we just finished day 8?

This month is flying by so fast.

Do me a favor and give us a like, comment, and subscribe before leaving.

Come back tomorrow for another horror themed video.

How to shoot 6+1 360°photos in 20 minutes! | Inspiration video to shoot more little photos - Duration: 5:19.

360 photography inspirations: How to shoot 6+1 incredible little planets in 20 minutes

Every artist needs some inspiration sometimes.

And as a 360 content creator,

I think inspiration is something

that leads to better and better ideas

to shoot something new, something unusual

or just simply nice and beautiful.

Usually watersides, unique lands and big city downtowns

can be the greatest inspiration for me,

but this time I'd like to look around here, in suburbia.

I will show you how to find inspiration in the middle of nowhere,

maybe looking for some autumn mood in the same time.

As you can see, it's an empty land here,

and it's a great opportunity to take some "Flying cam" photos firs.

This is my own technique,

and if you haven't seen it, you can find the link to the tutorial

on the right top corner or down in the description

This time I won't go into details,

but the point is that

the camera and the selfie stick will be totally invisible,

while I'm using my smartphone as a remote

and setting up a self-timer on the camera.

It's very important to shoot in manual mode,

because I don't want the sky to totally burn out.

You can see I still have some details there.

At this point I must tell you that you need some retouching

to have this final result.

Originally the "raw" image is flatter, darker and less vivid.

Here is the before-after comparison

and you can see, I have the same details on the sky,

and the retouching only brings my shadow parts to pop up much more

without losing information on the highlights.

Fortunately I have a workflow

to retouch my photos on my smartphone

before uploading them on Instagram.

I don't need to transfer them to a computer and back to phone,

and to spend some time with copying images.

It's very effective right on smartphone.

If you are interested about this workflow,

please write me in the comment section below the video.

Comment "smartphone retouching",

so I will notice that it's worth making such a video.

At the end of this video I will also create a poll,

where you can select the image

you'd like to see retouching.

If I see you're interested about the topic,

I will make a video about smartphone postproduction too.

...of course, using only free applications.

But until that let's take a look around here.

In a big empty field,

I think "flying cam" is really interesting

And we can also try to play around with the camera on the ground.

It has a very interesting point of view,

giving us different variations to shoot little planet,

inverted planet or some unique perspectives.

This time I also try to find some flowers.

I have these nice purple flowers here

which I try to compose on the image.

With a fisheye-camera like this, you must go very close to the subject.

I use my phone as a remote,

and set up self-timer to hide the phone from the image.

Always keep your camera in line with the tripod or selfie-stick

so it will be invisible on the photos.

It's autumn so we have some very nice rosehips here.

I try to put the camera inside this small bush.

Hopefully the berries get close enough

to be recognizable on the photo.

And this time I try to get out of the scene,

also using wifi connection to controll the camera.

The basic rule is that

when you don't see the camera,

it doesn't see you

...unless you are standing back to the camera.

I love this shot, I think it looks great.

But now I'm gonna be a part of the image again.

Even more, I found this tree here in the middle of the field,

so I will shoot a real autumn color scene.

This method is the same as before:

wifi remote controll... self timer...

and hiding the phone from the scene.

I guess this inverted planet will look like

I would be attacked by the plants.

And here we see something not so beautiful

and also a little bit pointless:

barbed wire,

which actually doesn't fence off nothing here.

But as an image it can be interesting.

So I will take a photo here.

Now you can see the whole setup,

and it's very exciting

because I can still imagine at least 3 different ways

to create little planets.

Don't miss following me on Instagram,

so you will see finally which one I choose.

And if everything goes right,

now here you can see the poll section at the right top corner.

So if you are interested about professional smartphone retouching

with a free mobile applications on iPhone,

it's time to vote,

which image you'd like to check out during the whole process.

Here are the best shots I made this afternoon

which you can find on my Instagram profile, too.

I hope you've got some inspiration

seeing my settings and compositions

in this very average field.

I think you can find some flowers, bushes,

trees and fences almost everywhere in the world,

so you can play around with them

taking interesting photos.

If you liked these ideas, please thumbs up

and subscribe to my YouTube channel,

and if you are interested about little planet photography,

feel free to follow me on Instagram too.

See you soon, guys.
