Hello!

my name is Chris,

and I am an English Teacher.

I am originally from the United States,

though I have spent most of the past year living abroad

in the United Kingdom.

I have recently decided to start giving English lessons online

via Skype,

via Google Hangouts,

via FaceTime.

and I think I could be the right teacher for you.

And I have three reasons for that:

The first reason is:

I have experience.

I have almost one (1) year of teaching experience,

and I nearly have a certification for my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) degree.

and I have additional certifications

working with Young Learners

as well as Business English Learners.

so I have the ability to change my content

to fit whatever your needs are.

So if you need to learn English for school,

or for a test,

or to get into a university,

or if you need to learn it for work,

I have the ability to change my lessons

so that we can work on whatever you need.

I can also gather resources for whatever you need as well.

The second reason why I think I could be a good teacher for you

is that I am also a student.

I have been learning Spanish for most of my life,

and I have also been taking French lessons online for a few years.

So I understand what it is like to be a student.

I understand what works,

what doesn't work,

I also understand that learning a language can sometimes be frustrating.

It can be difficult.

and I think that I can be patient, understanding, and flexible with that.

So I think we could have a good bond in that sense.

The third reason,

is that I think I am a friendly and fun person.

I like to play,

I like to learn,

I would like to learn about you,

and I very much believe that

learning another language should be fun.

It is a challenge,

it should be something where you should push yourself

outside of your comfort zone

but what we are learning learning should still be fun

and it should relate to you

it should have to do with what your interests are,

what you like to do,

what you think about,

and your opinion.

So I want to be able to

change our lessons

in whatever way that you think will be the most helpful for you

and be the most fun

because otherwise it is not worth learning another language, right?

so, those are my reasons
