then dont forget to leave a like on the video

and if you're not a subscriber of my channel

then hit this red button and become one

whatsup guys and welcome to today's video

So yeah I've been gone for a very long time now

i dont know, 4 months i guess?

So yeah in this video I'm just gonna talk to you about

why i was gone

and for the time i was gone, what was I actually doing

And you know we'll talk about the future as well

also

I just cant thankyou guys enough for

for 21,000 subscribers

and obviously 1.2 million views on

My first vlog, the gaffar market vlog

I mean, on my first vlog

So much support, I'm just really happy

plenty of negative comments too, i read all of them, just saying

But anyway

I just really appreciate all the support and positivity

that I get from you guys and

so now lets talk about

first of all

why did i disappear

And if you watched the update video

That i made like long back

In that also i told you guys that im in 12th right now

and many things that i need to balance

So during these four months

firstly because of 12th

I had my midtems also, and board exam too

Yeah thats like

My board is not CBSE

and exams take place very frequently

So i had my midterms also and boards also

So that was one of the reasons

secondly apart from that

something was going on in my personal life

All I'll say is that

4 months back

when I was doing youtube like inconsistently

i was not single

Now I am single

And...

All I can say is, being single is like

Its the most beautiful feeling in the world

So that was also one of the reasons

why I wasn't You know

i wasn't able to be consistent, not that

not that anything was stopping me

just that, You aren't able to focus on the things that matter the most

And apart from that

I'm pursuing filmmaking only

Like cinematography and direction

so in these four months i"ve learned quite a lot of things

And i havent done any course or anything

purely I've learned everything from youtube tutorials

not even kidding, If you're genuinely interested into something

you go to youtube and search the thing up

watch the tutorials n all

I assure you, youtube can teach you so much, so much

its not even funny

so i feel really good now

finally making videos again

been a very very very long time since i last did this

yesterday also I went vlogging, and..

And I'll upload the vlog after I upload this one

Also the sarojini nagar vlog

that was also shot like like 4 months back

the entire while when i wasnt uploading

I was just learning new editing techniques and color grading

And a lot of stuff

so i used to do all the experiments on the sarojini nagar vlog

so if you havent watched that video, go watch it

it is pretty good, way better than

My first two vlogs, way better

the vlog i made yesterday is better that the sarojini nagar vlog

And I'll upload that video after 2-3 days

So yeah this video was

purely purely, just to, you know

to talk to you guys, so that you know

that whats happening

and why did i disappear

and yeah, again, I wanna thank all of you for all the support

all my subscribers, and who like my content

Video #2 - What message do you want to convey to your readers? - Duration: 6:48.

Hey!

Let's talk about what your story is really about!

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to Flourish and Books.

I'm Angelina.

Have you ever watched a movie or read a book, where, after finishing you thought, "Well,

that was entertaining, but I wouldn't have missed out anything, if I hadn't

read that book?

Or watched that movie?

In my experience this usually comes from a lack of underlying theme.

There is usually nothing bigger going on.

It's not triggering any particularly deep emotions.

So it all feels a little flat.

I for myself, don't want that to happen to my stories, so I tried to figure out how

to make my stories sound and feel more important.

Because that's I guess, what every writer wishes for.

That our stories linger in the readers' minds long after closing the book, right?

So… a little excursion here: Due to my son's handicap, I've spent a lot of time in the

hospital with him.

And I usually didn't have any time to write my own stories, but I always found some time

to read and to study the craft of writing.

For some reason it's a lot easier for me to take a lot of information in, then getting

a few things out of my head and onto paper.

But I'm still glad I got to learn so much about writing and story-telling, even if our

circumstances are a bit difficult.

But to get to the point: I've read so many books on the craft.

And most novelists and screenplay writers say, that an underlying theme is usually what

makes the difference between a merely entertaining story, and a story that's deeply emotional

for a reader or viewer.

Or to say it in Karl Iglesias' words: "Story brings an audience into the theater; theme

makes it worthwhile."

Of course, you can also make romance stories and comedies important.

As I mentioned in the video on finding an idea, Nicholas Sparks for instance, he always

conveys important messages to his readers.

He adds messages like "love defeats even the most serious illness" or "love can

still be found even after losing someone very special".

These themes give underlying importance to a romance.

But the same goes for comedy, or any action adventure.

If you don't just want to make it about the guns and the fast pace, you can add messages

like, let's say, how important a friend's loyalty is in a treasure hunt.

But what readers don't like, is reading a sermon.

By the way, making your theme a sermon is telling as opposed to showing your theme.

But we want to show it, and convey everything through character actions and dialogue and

what not.

So the way you convey your message will inevitably affect the entire story.

That is the reason why we are going to try to figure it out this early in the process.

Of course you can write your story without knowing what you want to say, and that's

totally fine.

All I'm saying is that it might be a time-saver to discover your theme upfront, because it

can save you a lot of rewrites later.

So, what is theme?

First: Theme is the ONE truth the writer wants to convey to the reader.

The writer is you.

What do you want to say through your story?

Really try to look inside yourself.

Don't choose something you think others will expect your story to be about.

Choose a truth that's important to YOU.

Otherwise people will be able to tell, that you as the author, aren't really feeling

the message in that story.

And second: Theme makes your story emotionally significant.

Since you hopefully already picked an idea that you want to work on, try to figure out

what would make your story in particular emotionally significant!

Ask yourself, Why does your story matter?

And what's your message?

You can of course want to write a story for pure entertainment.

And that's fine!

That's totally fine!

But I'm sure it'll show that you're writing just to entertain.

And I mean that in a good way!

But to have that clear makes the difference.

I was just trying to think of examples, and I know that, for instance, Bruce Almighty

is about "selfishness always coming back at you", or 21 Jump Street, even that ridiculously

hilarious movie is, if you look closely, really about friendship and loyalty.

So you see that conveying a message even through the most ridiculous circumstances, can make

a viewer or reader remember a story for a long time.

And the more meaningful the message, the deeper the emotions in the audience…

I've already mentioned that "Writing for Emotional Impact" is one of my favorite

books on the craft, and I highly recommend picking it up.

And Karl Iglesias has sorted themes into three universal categories.

The first one is the "Who am I?"

category.

These are themes concerning the personality of the main character.

Questions about loneliness, home, underdogs, mental health, rejection, coming-of-age, etc.

Everything that's important about discovering one's personality.

The second category was about relationships.

Mainly about all the different kinds of love you can think of, including love gained and

lost, attraction and passion, but also parental love and animal love.

The third category is flaws in humanity.

This includes prejudice, good vs. evil, revenge, corruption, basically everything humans can do wrong.

As I said, I highly recommend reading this book.

He goes into so much more detail.

And concerning the theme, what you also should keep in mind, is that there can be several

characters to learn the same lesson during your story.

And not only that, if you like, you can also make the theme clear by letting the main character

FAIL to learn the lesson.

There are so many ways you can convey a message.

And I'm sure you can think of something you want everybody to learn from your story.

And never ever apologize for your opinion!

Remember that!

This is YOUR story.

Say what you want to say, not what you think others want to hear.

And as a reminder: Even if you don't come up with a theme just now – or don't want

to – we're going to schedule additional theme finding phases.

And if you need a worksheet to help you discover your theme, you can get it for free at my

website, or you can buy them and support my work.

All the links are below!

Thank you so much for watching!

Next week we will talk about inviting a muse and categorizing our stories by genre.

Hope to see you then!

Bye!

Hayley Kiyoko just broke the internet with a viral lesbian Instagram video - Duration: 2:14.

Hayley Kiyoko just broke the internet with a viral lesbian Instagram video

Disney-star-turned-queer-icon Hayley Kiyoko has broken the internet with a wonderfully gay Instagram post. The singer, dubbed 'Lesbian Jesus' by some fans, recently began posting behind-the-scenes clips and photos from past video shoots ahead of her releasing new music.

One of her most-loved videos, Gravel To Tempo, involves Hayley's character repeatedly dancing in front of a group of female students. And one actress in particular caught fans' eyes: Chanel Celaya, who plays 'Blake' – better known as 'Headphones Girl.

Since the release of the video, fans have called for Hayley and Chanel's characters to be brought together romantically in the canon of the story. Now, they have got more than they ever imagined.

While posting a compilation of Instagram videos yesterday while hanging out with Chanel, Hayley uploaded one captioned 'Blake 4 the win'…. In which they kissed.

Fans were elated, thanking Hayley for being so passionate and supportive of her LGBT+ fans and their need for validation and representation. Even Chanel got involved, sharing an adorable post of her own.

Considering her numerous past interactions with the queer community, it's no surprise that Hayley has once again gone out of her way to please fans. She's been refreshingly open about her own sexuality, much to fans' delight.

Last year, she told Paper Magazine that her music reassures fans "that they aren't alone – that their feelings are valid, that they are enough and they will find someone to love them back.

"I didn't have that hope growing up, so I get emotional and inspired (or encouraged) every time I meet a fan who looks at me that way.

She has made it clear she wants her art to reflect queer love in a positive way – and she's doing an amazing job so far.
