Welcome back to Top 10 Gaming.

Today I've got a very special guest with me, a familiar face you guys may likely recognize

from our sister channel top 10 nerd, ROYA DESTROYA.

Alright, shall we get into this list?

Top 10 rarest video games?

YEEEEEAH.

10 Tetris - Sega Genesis / Mega Drive While we all know Tetris as one of those early

staple games that we've all played, regardless of whether you're a game or not, it may

come as a surprise to you that there's a version of Tetris out there that's pretty

hard to come by.

Tetris for the Sega Genesis (or Megadrive) was never actually released due to Nintendo's

exclusive rights over the game.

Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov confirmed that this unlicensed version of the game exists,

and Racketboy has estimated that approximately 10 copies of the game exist today.

9 Superman Atari 2600 This game based on the man of steel was actually

pretty popular when it was released back in 1979.

At the time, it was fairly groundbreaking, having been the first of it's kind for home

consoles, even scoring a place in the Video Arcade Hall of Fame.

So while many video game aficionados may have a copy of this kicking around in their basement

or attic, ones that have yellow font on the cartridge can go for between 17, 000 to 35,000

american.

8 ET The Extra Terrestrial Similar to Superman, this game was pretty

easy to find back in the day.

But this adaption of Speilberg's classic film definitely didn't get the same kinds

of reviews.

It bombed, with some claiming it's actually the worst game Atari ever put out.

This is likely due to the fact that the game's development was rushed, with it being pumped

out within 6 weeks before debuting on store shelves.

And that's where many of them stayed due to record low sales, leaving Atari with a

TON of unsold copies of the game.

So much so that they actually buried hundreds and hundreds of them in a desert in New Mecxico

back in 1983 with other unsold stock.

Which was a myth up until 2014 when a documentary crew dug them up.

Ironically, because of their disposal strategy, it's actually made ET one of the rarest

games, and the ones that were buried were auctioned off for about $1500 a piece.

7 Red Sea Crossing Getting a little biblical at this number,

let's take a look at the Atari 2600's Red Sea Crossing.

Red Sea Crossing is a game that's based on - you guessed it - Moses crossing the red

sea, having to dodge the likes of sea creatures and Egyptians.

It was initially developed for the 'niche market' of Christian households, and only

a few hundred copies of the game were made, available only through mail order.

Creator Steve Stack says he has no idea where the other remaining copies of the game are,

or if they were destroyed, making one that was found at a garage sale for 50 cents now

worth over $10,000, and another copy found afterwards for around $13,000.

6 Air Raid Air Raid was considered to be an odd game

prior to 2010.

Many collectors didn't know much about it, it didn't come with an instructional manual,

and owners of the game didn't have a box for it.

So details were real slim.

There were only 12 copies at the time, until a man named Tanner Sandlin who had read an

article on the game recognized that he owned a copy of it too - the 13th on record - with

a box.

He sold it for $31,600.

Another copy surfaced as well, which had the box AND the instruction manual, and sold for

$33,433.

5 PT One of the more recent games on our list,

PT, or rather playable teaser, was a first person psychological horror video game developed

by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, set to be an instalment in the Silent Hills franchise.

It was briefly released in August 2014 for the PS4 on the Playstation Network, but the

game was cancelled, and it was pulled down.

After it had been downloaded about a million times, that is.

Despite being short, it received rave reviews, with people considering it to be one of the

best horror games of all time.

Konami has been highly criticized for deleting the game, with Kotaku even remarking that

"the deletion of PT was wrong since the demo had become part of gaming culture."

4 Birthday Mania Another Atari 2600 game, Birthday Mania only

has one known copy still in existence.

Released in 1984 by Personal Games Co, it's basically just a series of mini games that

are all birthday themed.

Pop balloons, blow out candles, that kind of thing.

And came with a box that allows you to personalize it.

While it's not the most interesting or challenging of games, it can still go for up to $35,000.

Happy birthday indeed.

3 Nintendo World Championship Back in 1990, there was a timed competition

held by Nintendo in LA in which players faced off against each other for a combined high

score in 3 games - Rad Racer, Tetris and Super Mario Bros. 116 cartridges were made for the

finalists of this competition, 26 of these being gold.

And how many of these gold cartridges have been confirmed to be found today?

Only 13.

And, if you're curious, they go for around $20,000 a piece.

2 Stadium Events Released by Bandai in 1987, this game was

later bought out by Nintendo.

The game initially was created to be a family friendly game, containing a fitness mat that

you moved around on that made the characters in the game move.

When Nintendo bought it out in 1988, they changed the name, called it WorldClass Track

Meet, and to avoid confusion, had all of the Stadium Events versions of the game destroyed.

But 200 copies had already been sold, and experts estimate that only about 20 complete

copies of the game still exist.

And how much does it go for?

Well, depending on the condition, between $2,600 and $41,300.

And $10,000 for just the box alone.

1 Gamma Attack Atari 2600 Another game that was never actually released,

Gamma Attack is infamous for being - arguably - the rarest game ever made.

This is because there's literally only one copy of it, and it's owned by collector

Anthony DeNardo.

Once believe to be a myth, it was created by company Gammanation as the one and only

game they had ever developed, and this particular cartridge has previously been on sale for

$500,000 prior to be owned by DeNardo.
