2017 | JANUARY TBR UNWRAPPING #23 (AMBITIOUS, 20 BOOK, OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE) [CC] - Duration: 8:55.

Hey, BookTube! It's Sylwia! I'm really

excited to say that I'm actually filming

this the day that it's going to be

uploaded. Today is January 1st, 2017. I'm

starting the year off with a very

ambitious, 20 book TBR, and it's going to

include an unwrapping. So the first half

of this video are going to be books I

unwrapped in previous unwrapping videos

that I have not yet had the chance to

get to.

I've already started Archer's Voice by

Mia Sheridan. This is, I want to say, a

new adult romance.

I'm a little burnt out on romances. I've

only read three or four in my life. I'm

very, very new to the genre. I'm learning

about it. I have a lot to say about it,

actually, but I'll save it for another

video. So, even though I'm a little burned

out,

I'm just gonna push through and read

this. I'm going to read Appassionata by

Eva Hoffman. Her real name is actually

much more Polish than that. I think she

Americanized her name. I'm reading this

because this has very, very few reads on

GoodReads and the author is Polish. I'm

going to be reading Zodiac Fantastic

which is actually a series of short

stories inspired by astrology? I'm

finally going to read The Left Hand of

Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin, which i

think is a pretty, like, almost a classic

staple of science fiction, as far as I

know? And science fiction is a genre that

I have very little experience in, but

that I know that I will find books in

that genre that I will enjoy. I will also

be reading Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld.

I've already started this book when I

received it over a decade ago. I read

this and I really liked it and I'm

hoping that I will like it again and

will be able to finish it this time. I

made the mistake of purchasing Paper

Towns by John Green back when there was

John Green hype. i read The Fault in Our

Stars and liked it in 2013 or '12 and

then I read Looking for Alaska in 2014

and hated it. So, this book is going to

help me decide if John Green was just a

fad that everybody's over, or if his

work is actually meaningful. And if i do

like Paper Towns, I will read Abundance

of Katherine's. But if I don't, I'll get

over him. I will also be reading Gone by

Michael Grant, and the problem with

having books on your TBR that you wait

years to get to is: Michael Grant has now

said some problematic things about women,

I don't know if about any other

identifiers, so now I feel a little less

enthused about this book, even though

I've only heard good things about it

from people that I trust.

I'm not sure if I want to

starting Pushing the Limits because, like

I said, I'm a little burnt out on the

romance genre, so I will see how I feel.

But this is something that I unwrapped

last year and didn't get to, so I need to

be getting to it. So, I'm gonna be

unwrapping 10 books today. The first book

I'm unwrapping today is from my fantasy

wrapping paper.

Let's see what it will be!

What is this? Hold on. This is an advanced

reading copy that I have no idea where I

received. I'm assuming BookCon 2014 or

Brooklyn Book Festival 2015. I have no idea

what this is about.

None at all! Next I'm unwrapping a

hardcover. This is a very hard cover

heavy TBR unwrapping. This is my

historical fiction. I only have, I think,

three other historical fictions left.

Let's see what it is!

Okay. The Memory Keeper's

Daughter. Is this one of those books

that's going to become a movie soon?

I don't know anything about this. In

terms of history, I think it is set in

this 1960s. This looks very, very much

outside of my comfort zone, so I am kind

of excited to read it. This is my another

fantasy wrapping paper that I have and

I'm very, very eager to start Eragon, so I

hope this is Eragon.

Let's see .

Is it the blue?!

This is not Eragon *soft sound of soul slipping out of body*

Neil gaiman's American Gods. In the wonderful addition that I

love. Neil Gaiman. I'm not sure if I like him

very much.

I'm not sure what I think of his writing.

I remember enjoying Stardust but giving

it a very low rating, so I'm not totally

sure why I did that.

I've tried to read American Gods several

times and I only get a few chapters in

every time so this is going to be its

last chance. I'm opening up another

contemporary book. This one is hardcover.

I'm hoping this is Landline, but it might

not be.

IT IS! Yes! Yes, yes! Landline, heh, heh, without the dust

jacket because I bought it from BOOK

OUTLET*. If any of you know a way to

buy a dust jacket, just the dust jacket,

itself, if there's any way to do that or

any of you want to get rid of yours and

will are willing to give it to me, I

would really like the dust jacket for

this, I am so excited to read this. I'm

completely in the mood for this. I'm in

the right mental state for what I'm

assuming will be pain, pain and romance.

And that's just exactly the mood I'm in

today. This entire unwrapping was based

on me trying to find this book, so i'm

very happy to find it.

The next book I'm unwrapping is in the

wrapping paper I'm using for books that

had, like, multiple genres so whatever

this is, it has multiple genres.

Unwritten by Charles Martin? What? Where

do I get these books from? What even is

this? I have no idea what this is. I

either got it from BookCon 2014 or I got

it from the Brooklyn Book Festival 2015

and this looks awful, so I will give it a

fair chance. This next wrapping paper,

I- I think I get most excited to unwrap

these because this is when i ran out of

all other wrapping papers and I just

wrapped any book that came my way in this,

so this is totally random, I have no idea

what's in here.

Oh! No, no!

*Pained, disgusted sound*

So before Me Before You came out, I won

this in a GoodReads giveaway. I will read

it, but Me Before You was an atrocity so

I'm not excited. This wrapping paper is

the same. It is just completely random. I

have no idea what's in here.

*HAPPY GASP* Yyyeeesss! Yes, yes, yes. Okay. Finally! Heh.

More Happy than not by Adam Silvera, which is like,

science-fiction/fantasy, in a very

contemporary setting, very realistic,

lower socioeconomic, with latinx main

characters who are gay?

I think, it's just like, checking

everything off the list.

I got this in an owlcrate and I'm so

excited to read this. THIS ... terrifying

book ... is one of my classics/literary

fiction books.

I'm scared. I'm gonna let you guys see it

before I do, okay?

I'm not excited for this. A Thousand

Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I got

this book for free, i think my mom had it,

so she just gave it to me. This is a book

that my friend Kimberly is, like,

"challenging" me to read, so i have to read

it, or I have to try *evil cackle*

I really did not like The Kite Runner. It

was not engaging enough even though the

writing was ... above average.

I'm not excited about this. The next book

is a contemporary. It's a very thick

hardcover, and I feel like books that are

thick hardcovers are usually books that

I don't enjoy. I don't know how that

usually turns out. Let's see!

Okay, this is

an Emily Giffin book, I already know.

Yep. Where We Belong.

January is clearly going to be out-of-my-

comfort-zone reads. I really loved

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin when

I read it,

ten years ago. I don't know if i would

like it now. I actually plan to re-read it.

Let's see if I like this one. And the

last book in this unwrapping/tbr is in

my most anticipated reads wrapping paper

so i expect to be very excited about

this. We will see.

OH! *laughs* Oh, finally! Finally!

Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. I wanted to read

this so bad for such a long time. I've

such high hopes for it.

Yes! Oh, and I think that only makes 19

books, so i'm also going to read a manga.

I'm going to read the Dengeki Daisy volume

15, which means that i only have two

volumes of this left, and i just want to

get it over with.

I hope you enjoyed that! Come talk to me

in the comments! <3

Trump's EPA Pick In Big Oil's Pocket - Duration: 5:05.

THE PICK FOR THE EPA HEAD BY DONALD

TRUMP IS A DISASTER.

LET ME GIVE YOU FURTHER CONTEXT AND NEW

INFORMATION ABOUT HOW BOUGHT HE IS BY OIL COMPANIES.

HERE IS WHAT

THE HUFFINGTON POST SAID.

THAT IS NOT ALL.

SO TO BE FAIR TO

SCOTT PRUITT, HE IS NOT JUST BUT BY GIANT OIL INDUSTRIES, BUT

ALSO BY KOCH INDUSTRIES.

ALL OF THAT MONEY IS GOING TO THE SAME

CAUSE.

WHEN HE DID THAT, YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HOW GROSS IT

IS.

HE PRETENDED TO WORK FOR THE PEOPLE OF OKLAHOMA AS THEIR

ATTORNEY GENERAL, BUT IN REALITY HE WAS GETTING AN ENORMOUS

AMOUNT OF FUNDING FROM THE OIL COMPANIES.

TRUMP LOOKS AT THIS

AND SAYS WHAT A WONDERFUL CORRUPT GUY.

PERFECT, COME ON

IN.

LET'S BUILD THE SWAMP TOGETHER.

NOW LET ME GIVE YOU

THE SENATE COMMITTEE THEY HAVE A MEMBER WHO SAID THIS ABOUT

PRUITT.

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER EVEN IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN,

DON'T YOU WANT THAT?

WHO IS PAYING THIS GUY?

THAT IS GOING

TO HELP ME IF YOU'RE SERVING ME OR THE GUYS THAT PAY HIM.

LET'S GIVE YOU MORE DETAILS.

IN OTHER WORDS EVEN THOUGH HE IS

RETURNING TO WORK FOR OKLAHOMA, THAT LETTER WAS NEARLY WORD FOR

WORD.

HE WORKS FOR THEM, MAN.

HE DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU.

PRUITT IS

EVEN SUING TO BLOCK AN EPA RULE TO PROTECT STREAMS AND WETLANDS

UNDER THE 1972 CLEAN WATER ACT.

HE IS EVEN COMING FOR YOUR

STREAMS AND WETLANDS.

THIS GUY IS GOING TO GET IT ALL.

SO THEY

BOUGHT HIM LOCK, STOCK, AND BARREL.

AND WHENEVER THEY NEEDED

HIM IN OKLAHOMA THEY WOULD HAND HIM A PIECE OF PAPER AND HE

WOULD SIGN IT AND GO THE PEOPLE OF OKLAHOMA THINK THIS, CH-

CHING, ANOTHER $50,000 FOR MY CREW.

NOW HE WILL DO THAT ON A

NATIONAL SCALE.

YOU DON'T OWN YOUR GOVERNMENT ANYMORE, THEY

DO.

THAT IS WHAT TRUMP JUST BUILT.

HE JUST BUILT THE SWAMP.

Projet 22b - Épisode 6 | Conversion Turbo - Partie 4 - Duration: 10:01.

Hi and welcome to a new episode of MORDUS DE BOLIDES

today we are working again on the Subaru

We are going to take everything out of the engine bay

So I can repare the rust and we can paint the engine bay

I'm going to start by taking off the fenders

Not bad I was scared that the area would be rusted out but it was rust proofed at some point

All of this is completely solid

The only thing is here

It's still surface rust so I should be able to grind it and paint over it

That's why rust proofing your car is really important

Unfortunately they did not do it every year. If they did I would not have to deal with all this rust

Same thing for the MR2, the rust proofing material helped it in some areas

like in the frunk, I'll show you

The bonnet is not rotted out because we can see the rust proofing here

on the inside

All the dirt you see is the rustproofing material

Same on the inside

But unforunately we can't say that for the floor

Maybe it was not done, or done poorly

the floor didn't survive

but the trunk was clean as the frunk

So that's it I'm going to do the same thing on the other side, then the bumper

I bought this tool to take off the brake lines connected to the ABS module

because usually, normal wrenches will round the nuts and make them harder to undo

All the brake related fillings are often rounded by normal wrenches so I needed those

It made the job a lot easier

I started to round one and it was at that point that I bought the kit and from then everything went smoothly

One important thing when working with brake fluid is that if it touches your paint it will strip it

So as soon as it touches the paint you have to remove it

And I wear gloves because brake fluid is carcinogenic and when it touches your skin, you have a weird feeling after

Those who touched brake fluid before know what I mean

I wear gloves because I hate the feeling

lots of work to do here

Now there's space

So that's it, I think I achieved the objective, I took as most things as possible off the engine bay

So I can clean up and paint it the final color the car will be when it has the wide body 22b

The colour will be the same as the 22b's which is called world rallye blue

I like this blue but I prefer the 22b one

So now we have rust to repair here

But as far as stripping the engine bay goes we're pretty good

There is still these brake lines left but they go trough the firewall and inside the car so we would have had to cut them which would take too long since we can just push them when painting

Here we got the fuel lines, and they are the two things that coul get in the way but I can work around that so for now we're good

Now we'll be able to do the stitch welding here

So that the car is more rigid and fun to drive

But there you go, mission accomplished!

Stop that
