POLICE HAVE ARRESTED A MAN.

BROKE INTO THREE DIFFERENT

HOMES AND EVEN OFFERED ONE

HOMEOWNER MONEY TO HIDE HIM.

WHAT YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?

Reporter: THE SUSPECT DID

NOT WANT TO TALK WITH OTHER

PEOPLE WERE HAPPY TO TELL ME

THEIR TAKE ON WHAT HAPPENED.

MATTHEW HOLLAND WAS OUTSIDE

WHEN HE HEARD THE POLICE CHASE.

THE NEXT THING I KNOW HE

BOTTOMED OUT AT THE BOTTOM OF

THE ROAD AND SPUN OUT AND

CRASHED INTO MY YARD.

Reporter: HE RAN TO THE FRONT

DOOR TO GET OUT OF HARMS WAY

AND THAT IS WHEN HE CAME FACE

TO FACE WITH THE SUSPECT WHO

HAD RUN IN FROM HIS BACKDOOR.

HE SAID HE HAD $100 AND

ASKED TO STAY.

RAN TO SAFETY AND THEN THE

SUSPECT RAN TO ANOTHER HOUSE.

AND THEN HE RAN TO YET ANOTHER

HOUSE AND HUNKERED DOWN.

MEANWHILE POLICE SAY THE

PASSENGER OF THE CRASHED CAR

STAYED ON THE SCENE AND

PRETENDED TO COOPERATE.

BUT OFFICERS SAY SHE PURPOSELY

LIED AND IDENTIFIED AN INNOCENT

MAN WHO IS DOWN THE STREET AS A

SUSPECT.

THAT GUY WAS DETAINED UNTIL THE

TRUTH CAME OUT.

THE CANINE FOUND THE SUSPECT IN

THE ATTIC OF THIS HOME AND THE

FALSELY ACCUSE GUY WAS LET GO.

POLICE DID FIND A GUN THAT THEY

BELIEVE THE SUSPECT THROUGHOUT

Hi everyone!

Today we're going to learn how to pronounce the word FEMME in french.

Femme is a tricky word because it sounds like you should pronounce it f-E-mme.

Which was, historically, the way you would pronounce it.

But is was quite hard to pronounce so people started changing it for f-A-mme.

The thing is that back then, most people didn't know how to read or how to write so the pronunciation

changed but the way it's written didn't.

So this is why it's pronounce f-A-mme but it's written f-E-mme.

Now here's how to pronounce it:

femme

fe-mme

fe-mme

Femme is the french word for woman

and if you would like to say women in french you would say femmes as well.

There's no difference of pronunciation in french if it's one femme or multiple femmes.

Even though there is an 'S' at the end you wouldn't pronounce it.

So FEMME and FEMMES, exactly the same pronunciation.
