THE CNO, ADMIRAL RICHARDSON, RELEASED A
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK
JAN. 25, DESIGNED TO HELP IMPROVE
THE COMPETENCE AND CHARACTER OF OUR NAVY LEADERS.
THE 10 PAGE FRAMEWORK IS PART OF
THE GOLD LINE OF EFFORT IN THE DESIGN
FOR MAINTAINING MARITIME SUPERIORITY.
CNO SAID THAT LEADERS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN
ESSENTIAL TO THE NAVY'S SUCCESS AND
THAT DEVELOPING LEADERS WILL REMAIN THE
PRINCIPAL FOCUS OF OUR NAVY.
CNO ALSO SAID THAT DRIVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT
CHARACTERISTIC OF A LEADER AND THAT
NAVY LEADERS SHOULD FOCUS THEIR
DEVELOPMENT DOWN TWO LANES:
WARFIGHTING COMPETENCE AND CHARACTER.
A SHORT VIDEO WAS RELEASED LOOKING AT MORE OF THE FRAMEWORK.
CHECK IT OUT.
READ THE STORY AND VIEW THE VIDEO ON CNO'S
FACEBOOK PAGE OR ON THE NAVY'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
A NEW FINANCIAL LITERACY APP IS
NOW AVAILABLE THAT PROVIDES RESOURCES
AND TRAINING FOR SAILORS TO HELP THEM
MAKE THE BEST-INFORMED DECISIONS ON THEIR
FINANCIAL FUTURE. THE APP EXPLORES TOPICS

THE APP ALSO PROVIDES TRAINING
AND INFORMATION ON THE NEW BLENDED RETIREMENT SYSTEM,

SAILORS ELIGIBLE FOR THE NEW RETIREMENT SYSTEM WILL

WHETHER TO OPT-IN OR STAY WITH THE
CURRENT RETIREMENT PLAN.
IT'S A BIG DECISION, SO STAY TUNE FOR MORE
