Vlog #15: Important Dates and Deadlines for February - Duration: 2:49.
Hey UTM, how's it going?
So my name is Vanessa Demello and I am the Vice President University Affairs and Academics
of YOUR students' union and we are now in the month of February.
January flew by really really fast and I hope you all had a wonderful month.
So now I'm here to tell you the important dates and deadlines for the month of February,
so just take out your calendar, your agenda, your pen, whatever you need and let's get into it.
So, the first thing is on February 5th, it is the last day to drop an S course so that
is this semester from January until April, and receive a 50% course fee refund.
On February 15th, so for students registered in the fall or winter session or the winter
term only, there will be service fees or any charges on outstanding winter fee balances.
This is when it will begin, so please make note of that.
On February 20th it is the family day holiday, so university will be closed, so enjoy your
time with your family, friends and loved ones.
And then we are moving on to February 21st.
So that is the last day to drop or cancel a Y course that is a year long course from
your academic record and your GPA, or to cancel or select the credit/no credit option.
So for students registered in the fall or winter session or the winter term only,
it is the last day to also apply for OSAP, so do take note of that as well.
Also from February 21st to February 24th it is reading week, so you get a bit of a break,
or a chance to study and study for midterms or work on assignments I don't know, or better
yet to join the UTMSU on our Montreal Reading Week Trip.
More details about that will be in the link below, please do check it out, it's like one
of the best events of the year, you're definitely going to have a great time if you do come
out, and if you have any questions you can contact vpcampuslife@utmsu.ca.
The last thing is on February 21st to February 24th so that is during reading week, this
is the exam period for special deferred examinations for the December 2016 exams that took place.
So aside from that I will also have a link down below for the events that the UTMSU will
be hosting for black history month and any other events that we will be hosting so do
check that out, and that's pretty much it for the vlog.
