UFC 219: Cyborg vs. Holm took place Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC women's featherweight champion Cris Cyborg (19-1) squared off against former bantamweight titleholder Holly Holm (11-4) in the nights main event, which aired live on pay-per-view.

Round 1: Herb Dean on hand to oversee the evening's championship main event. Holm gets out of the way of an early burst by Cyborg.
Holm catches a high kick and trips Cyborg down, nothing much comes of it. Back on the feet, Holm gets a body lock and walks Cyborg over to the fence.
Holm just holds her there and they eventually break apart. Cyborg with outside leg kicks. Counter right hand by Cyborg lands solidly. Straight right for Holm.
Holm trying to keep Cyborg back with straight rights. Leg kicks still paying off for Cyborg. Holm goes to clinch, knee to the body by Cyborg. The champ is defending with her back against the fence.
Reset in the center of the cage. Right connects by Holm, but Cyborg counters with a right hand of her own. Clinch against the fence by Holm and they separate again. High kick by Holm is deflected.
Cyborg lands a Superman punch at the buzzer. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Cyborg. Round 2: Some visible damage to Holm's nose. She tries to get in, but eats a couple of punches from Cyborg on the approach.
Cyborg's nose is also bloodied. She's coming forward and avoids a high kick from Holm. Holm gets a glancing right hand then goes in for double underhooks against the cage again. She backs off and meets Cyborg in the center.
Counter punch by Cyborg, then a leg kick. She catches Holm again, but eats an elbow as they clinch up then separate.
Holm is sticking to a strategy of entering with a hook and then clinching up. She controls a prolonged grappling exchange against the fence with 90 seconds to go.
Body kick from Cyborg. Another lunging right hand by Holm followed by a body lock.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Holm. Round 3: Right jab by Holm, but this time it's Cyborg who gets the underhooks and pushes the action to the fence.
Holm has Cyborg tied up and she pushes her back to the center of the cage. Knee by Cyborg on the break. Leg kick by Cyborg. Head kick from Holm misses.
Cyborg scores with a right hand and a knee to the body. Another snapping leg kick from Cyborg. Holm answers with a right hook. Left hand lands for Holm.
Cyborg lands a body kick. Holm kicks the leg. Hook kick by Holm misses, Cyborg avoids a clinch. High kicks from Holm are avoided, they clinch again.
Big right hand from Cyborg has Holm hurt in the closing seconds of Round 3. Cyborg with a brief flurry. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Cyborg. Round 4: Left hand by Holm connects, but Cyborg still coming forward.
Another huge counter right visibly rocks Holm. Straight left then a right hook by Holm. Cyborg answers with a big punch of her own. Cyborg staying out of the range of everything Holm is throwing.
The champ sneaks in a left hand. Teep by Cyborg stops Holm in her tracks.
Holm takes a knee to the body as she drives Cyborg against the fence. Cyborg gets out of it and runs forward with a kick to the body. Holm cannot get in without being countered. Hard jab by Cyborg.
First of the championship rounds is all Cyborg. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Cyborg. Round 5: Body kick form Holm. Cyborg looking fresh in the fifth and final round.
Holm with the volume, but she can't catch Cyborg. Inside leg kick, jab, inside leg kick combination from Cyborg. She ties Holm up and they grapple against the cage. Holm can't get anything off of the clinch.
Cyborg lands a body kick, and another inside leg kick. Then one more to the body. Holm hits Cyborg with a kick to the body. Right hand from Cyborg, then another body kick.
High kick from Cyborg. Cyborg lands a Superman punch. Right hand knocks Holm back. Combination from Cyborg as she shrugs off a Holm punch.
Cyborg doing damage in every exchange. 1-2 by Holm right up the middle. They finish grappling against the fence, Cyborg scoring with a knee to the body. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Cyborg.
