Hi, guys, my name is Lera, I'm a content producer.
My name is Denis, I'm a director.
In this video, we want to be upfront with you and talk about our music videos.
We've made three of them so far.
But that's not all.
Nope.
In a few days, on July 29, we'll publish a music video
dedicated to the day of the Russian Navy.
This song will be in Russian on both our channels.
Of course, we'll add the subtitles for the global channel.
In English.
The main question that you usually ask us: why don't you mention
the name of the band who plays your tracks?
That's because they are our colleagues.
The guys from our project, the World of Warships project.
We work with them every day, side by side,
so let's go and meet them.
As we said earlier, all the guys from our band work here,
in the Wargaming office in St. Petersburg.
Now I'm at the sound department,
where the brain of the band works.
Savva, hi! Hi!
Savva and the other guys compose all the music for our game.
You can hear this music in battles.
He also created a lot of cool sound effects, explosions,
and aircraft flight sounds. Naturally, he's also a voice of the Cap.
Savva, tell us, how did you get this idea to compose music
of a completely different, more entertaining genre in your free time?
I've been composing different songs all my life.
From the moment I was born, I started composing songs.
I've been working in this atmosphere for quite a long time,
four years, warships everywhere, and words just start coming to my head.
The first two songs that we published were a total improvisation.
In the first song, we congratulated our players with the New Year holidays.
The second song was humorous for April Fools' Day.
And what about this track, our third track and music video?
It will be a serious song. A serious one. I won't say anything more.
You won't say anything more?
As far as I understand, you compose music here, in front of these keys.
You have many controls, mixers, and headphones here.
But you and the guys play rock music. How does that work?
Well, we have a studio here.
We gather and discuss our ideas,
kind of a creative process starts, which I like the most.
That's how we compose music together.
That's cool. Let's move on and see who else is in the band.
Now we're going to visit Vova.
He's a sound engineer who composes epic music for our game.
And he plays the bass guitar in our band.
Hi, Vova!
Hi!
Vova, tell us please: are you really a musician?
Yes, I'm really a musician.
Vova, tell us please:
you're working day and night, so where do you find
the strength to compose music for our band in your free time?
It's very simple. We really love our game,
and we really enjoy doing what we do.
That's why it brings us joy to compose music
for our game during free time. It all goes pretty smoothly.
When are you going to release new songs or an album? When will we have that?
A new song will be released at the end of July.
It will be published on our official YouTube channel.
Are you playing the bass guitar in it?
Yes, of course, I play bass.
Why don't I see a bass guitar in the room, Vova?
Damn it! Today's the only day when there's no guitar in here.
Maybe that's because
you were shooting a video in a strange and harsh environment?
That's true.
Water was pouring down from all sides, the bass guitar got wet,
so now it's drying out.
We did this for the sake of our art and our game.
It will be very powerful and cool, as usual.
Let's leave Vova to dry his bass guitar
and visit the guy who is drying the drums.
That's the man who dries the drums after shooting the video,
Kostya, our system administrator and drummer.
How are you, Kostya?
Everything went great. I hope the drums are dry now,
and they haven't turned green or worse.
Please tell us, how was it to play the drums
with water pouring in from all sides?
It wasn't easy. Sometimes it was hard to play when it was raining—
the drumsticks were more slippery than usual.
Water was constantly getting into our eyes,
and it was hard to see what you were doing.
But in general, everything went well.
We hope that all your hard work won't be in vain.
Won't go down the drain.
Right. Won't go down the drain, and you'll like what we did.
As you can see, the guys do the main part of the job.
I mean, they're composing the music, writing the lyrics, editing and mastering,
but what do we do?
We're now working in the final postproduction stage.
We've almost finished grading the video,
which will be released in a few days. Here's a small fragment of it.
