In this video we are going to walk you through Artboard Studio.
Without further ado let's get started!
Open up your favorite browser.
Then just go to https://artboard.studio
Login from here.
And this is your projects page.
It looks empty!
Let's click "CREATE NEW PROJECT" button to start designing.
On the left side you can start from scratch
or you can choose any pre designed templates.
For now we will start from scratch.
Just give a name to project than hit that blue button.
Yeah! This is the place that you will create the magic.
Using the left menus, you can add mockup items, background textures, text or shapes.
Also you can import stock photos or import your own designs from Figma and more.
You can upload files from your computer and always keep them here.
And you can change your canvas size anytime you want.
Here is the add item menu.
You can browse thousands of items in lots of different categories.
This is an ever growing library, we are adding more and more items everyday.
Depending on your design idea, you can easily choose the viewpoint of your items.
When you select your view, you will see all items from the that angle.
If you are working on a top view project, just click here and only see the top view items to choose from.
When you choose an item, simply click on it or drag and drop to the canvas.
Now you can move, rotate or scale this item using it's bounding box controls.
If you see that blue icon on the layer's thumbnail, it means that this item is customizable.
There are lots of options for customizing.
You can double click the item,
double click the layer's thumbnail
or click "Place Your Design" button on the right in properties panel.
For items with multiple labels, you can also right click on the item and choose the label you want to customize.
Just choose the part that you want to place your design in and open up this customization tab.
This is the place where you put your label design.
You can also move this tab to make it a popup window.
This way, you can instantly preview your changes on the item.
You can drag and drop any JPEG, PNG or SVG files from your computer.
Or you can design with native tools inside Artboard Studio.
You can also import your Figma projects here.
As you see, we have placed our design into this item and it looks great.
If you are done with customization, just go back to main canvas.
When you select an item, you will see options on the right side.
This is object settings menu and it changes based on the item you selected on the canvas.
Now you can customize blending modes, opacities and ground shadow settings according to your design.
If you click any empty space, you will see canvas settings on the right side.
Here you can change canvas size, you can quickly export your design and also you can change canvas or workspace background color.
Let's open up the color picker.
From here you can choose any color or type in your color code.
Also you can create some cool gradients from here.
Simply choose the small circles here and pick any color you want.
Then the other circle.
From this slider you can change the angle of the gradient.
Just move it to the left or right.
If you want a background texture instead of color, we have the textures menu here.
Just open this menu and choose your category.
Then pick a texture and add it to the scene.
For changing the item order you can use layers panel here.
Simply drag and drop to move the layers.
Let's put this background texture to the bottom.
There are also some other options for layers.
You can hide, lock, delete or duplicate them from these little icons.
From stock photos menu you can search from thousands of images and import them to your canvas.
Search for the stock photo that you need, then pick one of them.
When you click or drag to the canvas, it will fit to the canvas size automatically.
You can scale up or down from here or use it's bounding box like other items.
If you want to add a text to your design, simply use the text menu.
You can add simple text by clicking this button.
It will add a default text item to your canvas.
Just double click on it and write your text.
With a text item selected, you can see text options here.
You can change your font type, size, letter spacing and line height from here.
There are other options for better typography designs.
You can also find some ready made typography templates here.
To add simple shapes, use this menu.
Or, choose from these illustrations.
When you import an illustration, you will see colors on right panel.
You can easily customize them.
From uploads menu you can add any JPEG, PNG or SVG files from your computer.
You can change your canvas size anytime or choose one of the popular sizes for social media and other platforms.
We also have integrations with other 3rd party services.
You can import your designs from these services.
For Figma simply open your project and select the frame.
Copy that link and paste it here.
Choose the format and resolution then hit import.
You can also hide or show UI menus, zoom and pan your canvas, from this menu on the top right.
Your projects are automatically saved.
You can see the auto-saving process here, it re-saves your projects every 3 seconds if you have made any changes since the last save.
Using this popup, you can re-name your project or add some optional descriptions to it, for your own reference.
If you want to publish your design just go to export menu.
Here you can share your design on facebook, twitter and other social media platforms.
More social media integrations are coming soon.
You can also use our integrations for directly sending your design to 3rd party services.
And of course you can download it to your computer in PNG or JPG formats.
You can set the resolution of the image being saved as well.
If you decide to start with a template go to Gallery page by clicking here.
Click the template of your choosing to open it up.
To add this template to your projects simple click this blue button.
If you want to reset this project to the first original version use this menu.
Click the reset button here and confirm your request.
Also you can see the mockup items that were used for this template.
This way if you removed an item and decided to bring it back at some point, you can easily find it here.
You are now ready to create realistic and professional mockup scenes in minutes.
Just choose from tons of items or templates and bring your ideas to life.
