Abe's Gang: Civil War - APUSH music video project - Duration: 3:37.

The laws got compromises hard to knock, Missouri 1850 many more

All of them just led to civil war, as abolitionism's on the rise

Republicans, Democrats. Election, campaign for that.

See territory could be bad for this, along with popular sovereignty (yeah)

Bang Bang in Supreme Court, Taney takes over.

Gavel rules on Dred Scott, with tensions rising

Wait a minute yeah the North's upset

Wait a minute till it's (yeah) war

Bang bang there goes John Brown, at Harper's Ferry

Bang bang on Sumner's head, yeah canes are flying.

Wait a minute till tensions rise

Wait a minute the South's (ah, mad)

1850 might have compromised, but runaway slaves are on the rise

No, the fugitive slave law is null, Tubman rescued them all underground.

California is free, slave trade ends in D.C.

See any state could disagree with others we need a better law to keep the peace

Bang bang into Kansas, they're bleeding bleeding

Popular sovereignty, it just does not work

Border ruffians out of gov. control, wait a minute till it breaks into war

Bang bang there goes that peace, sectionalism

Kansas take the country, into civil war

Wait a minute till Lincoln's here, wait a minute till it's 1860!

It's Abe Steve ready, and debates they petty, abolition going steady it's oh, oh

Lincoln is renown, South starts to break down, antislavery campaigns spread around, town

North so good, behind Abe they stood, South inflated their currency and would have

Money that's counterfeit, become Confederate, economy incompetent, fraudulent

It's Grant Lee and McClellan, end of the antebellum

Kicking off things at Bull Run and Belmont in '61

North at Antietam beginnin' Emancipation troops thinnin'

It's ain't the end of the war yet but looks like Lincoln is winning (hey!)

C to the I to the V to the I L, war

See Vicksburg fell apart in '63, and South surrenders in '65

Bang bang North wins the war, Union is preserved

Onto Reconstruction, how will we enforce

Wait a minute till North chooses a plan, Wait a minute till that compromise

Lincoln, Johnson, and radicals, all disagreeing

Wade Davis Bill failed to pass, it's pocket-vetoed

Wait until the Reconstruction Act, military zones divide the South

Bang bang soldiers come in, controlling the South

Enforcing amendments, protect black freedom

Yo I said, 13, 14, 15. 13, 14, 15.

Slaves are citizens by law, they're tenant farmers

Segregation keeps them apart, Plessy supports it

Still they won't let the free blacks vote, still a long road to equality

A short video about Ethanol - Duration: 0:27.

Ethanol is a renewable resource and an alternative to fossil fuels

Ethanol is made from organic feedstocks such as corn

The corn is filtered and fermented in yeast, then distilled to create ethanol.

Pure ethanol is mixed with gas to create a blend

with a number based on the percentage of ethanol mixed in.

The blend goes as low as e10 and as high as e85

e100 is pure ethanol

Fuel is put in cars, which allows them to move.

Video #1 - Intro to the Series - Duration: 1:52.

Hi Everyone

So, I've decided to start a video series.

On top of it just being like the cool thing to do nowadays,

I think it's a really great way

to get some helpful information out there

about real estate.

So, in the series, I plan to cover hot topics in real estate,

answers to some of the most common questions that I get,

and hopefully answer some questions that you didn't even know that you had.

Next week for my first content video,

I'm going to be covering why it's important

to just not call a list agent on a property that you find on realtor.ca.

But, you know, it isn't just about you.

It is about me too.

There's so many realtors out there for you to choose from,

and likely even quite a few on your Facebook friends list,

And while I love that so many of you would use me just because you know me

and, you know, cause I have a sparkling personality,

I think it's also important that you know

that I know what I'm doing and that I'm good at what I do.

And so hopefully these videos are one way of doing that.

So, obviously, it's just in it's beginning stages right now,

so I'm not exactly sure how it's going to evolve.

But if you have an idea for a video,

I'm absolutely open to suggestions.

And feel free to share them.

Umm, no. No. Just share them.

But like I said, today - I'm not going to dig into content today.

But I will point you toward our VIP community.

Every month, I send out a newsletter.

There's a bit of a blurb from me, some market data, and some neighbourhood information.

But on top of that, there's a $200 contest every month -

no strings attached.

Um, well...other than, you know, actually reading my newsletter and entering the contest.

But yeah, so, if you're interested in that, the link is in the comments

Just go and enter your name, email address, and select me from the drop-down arrow

and you'll get my newsletter on the 15th of next month.

But that's about it for this video and I will see you next week.

Plastic-less Video 3: Waste Weighing and Audit - Duration: 7:11.

Welcome to this video.

As you may recall one of the earlier videos was about our shopping habits

and the options & opportunities that we have to choose plastic-less packaging.

This video is going to centre on quantifying the amount of plastic packaging that we generate in a typical household.

We're going to do that by two methods...

Using a simple kitchen scale which most households have, for small arisings of plastic waste

And using a bathroom scale for larger quantities.

So that we can compare the waste of arisings of a typical household to the UK household waste statistics.

So, let's have a look at that now.

One of the simplest ways to weigh the plastic wastes that you generate is to weigh on a daily basis using the humble kitchen scales.

So here, we have our kitchen scales which can read in both pounds or kilograms.

It doesn't matter which you use as long as you use it consistently throughout your weighing schedule.

So, we have here, firstly, the plastic waste from our plastic shopping that you will have seen in an earlier video.

So let's weigh that

So as we can see from the weighing scale, the reading is 138 grams.

So for our plastic shopping, we generated 138 grams which consisted of the plastic bags and all the plastic wrapping and containers.

Now, let's swap that shopping out for the plastic waste generated in our plastic-less shopping

And as we can see the weighing scales show 11 grams

So that compares with 138 grams of plastic waste from the plastic shopping.

Quite a significant decrease, if you make wise shopping choices.

Now, let's go and look at a larger scale weighing exercise to a weigh our plastic generated over the past two weeks.

So, firstly I need to weigh my own body weight...

Ah. Maybe that's something I'll keep a little bit secret between me and my weighing scale.

but I'll make a note, nonetheless,

And then we need to weigh the plastic items...

OK and then we write down that weight.

And, out of interest, I'm also going to weigh the paper and cardboard

& the glass and tin cans.

So, in order, to make our calculation. We need to understand a few national statistical figures...

So, there is 1.5 million tons of plastic waste per household each year,

which equates to a thousand times more that in kilograms.

The UK population is approximately 65 million.

And so, therefore, the total waste arisings is

which equates to 23 kilograms per person per annum.

So in order to compare our waste that we weighed using differential weighing,

We must ensure that we understand the total weight per fortnight is 1.2 kilograms,

which equates to 31.2 kilograms over a full year.

And since there's two persons in our household, each person generates 15.6 kilograms of waste

which compares very favourably with the government statistics of 23 kilograms per person per annum.

And in order to make a comparison.

Our paper and cardboard that we generated per person is 62.4 kilograms.

and the glass and cans that we generated was 23.4 kilograms.

So based on the differential weighing that I've carried out on our fortnightly waste arisings we generated 1.2 kilograms of plastic waste

and that equates to 31.2 kilograms for our two-person household.

And that compares favorably with the 46 kilograms per 2 person household per annum that you would expect.

So whilst we compare very favorably with the national statistics,

We're not going to rest on our laurels.

We're going to aim to reduce as much of their plastic waste as we can to try to go Plastic-less.

If you have been inspired by this video to go Plastic-less, why not try these great action points
