My name is Yudivian Almeida and I'm the data editor of Postdata.club, so far the only data journalism media in Cuba.
In Postdata.club we are a small team: at this moment there are only three people working voluntarily in the project.
In this case, I'm in charge of the data analysis, and also of the programming, visualization, and maintenance of the technological infrastructure that supports the project.
Together we conceive, narrate and build the stories. And that isn't an easy task to do in Cuba, because, sometimes, data don't exist.
We have to collect them and figure it out where to find them and those public sources we need.
This year we have created several stories that have addressed the Cuban reality and its different issues.
Stories that cover from sports to the Cuban elections.
In our works we try to offer stories with new perspectives that show data in different ways
and we always focus on problems that may interest Cuban society.
We are trying to share the experiencies we have gained this last and a half year since our website foundation.
Beacuse it's of our interest that in the future Postdata.club doesn't be the only Data Journalism media in Cuba.
