Crowdfunding rotterzwam video - Duration: 2:05.
This is Siemen... and this is Mark
inspired by the Blue Economy by Gunter Pauli
They started rotterzwam 5 years ago
They stopped their corporate carreers
To find a better use for coffee grounds
Growing mushrooms on coffee grounds was the result
Did you know that the coffee that you make...
produces almost 100% waste? The well known 'coffee grounds'
And with the liters we drink away...
that is a damn waste.
rotterzwam shows that circular thinking actual has potential as a business model..
and that coffee grounds are a valuable resource and no waste.
The past 5 year rotterzwam earned it's revenue with a mushroom farm
in BlueCity. But there we couldn't meet demand for mushrooms.
So we had to scale up our farm.
With the farm we are going to build
We are going to help several organisation in Rotterdam
to rescue more then 6.000 kg of coffee grounds
from incineration each month
We are going to do that in grow units that are constructed of used reefer containers
But that's not all
Our business case will be expanded with a quasi franchise
That is a modern franchise concept for social entrepreneurs that facilitates
innovation AND collaboration
Through this franchise we are one step closer a farm in every major city in Northern Europe.
This way we can increase our environmental impact and scale the business model.
Next to that you can buy the complete farm
So not only the knowledge is available
But also the cultivation technique
With the new company Coffee Based
In which rotterzwam is participating together with the team of 'Verdraaid Goed'
We are going to give even more coffee grounds a useful destination
Namely as input for a process to produce bio plastics
Will you help us to go international?
Then take your chance now to become a shareholder
of the best circular concept from Rotterdam

How To Be Conversational In Videos - Duration: 3:56.
Welcome back. I've got two examples to show you here. This is going to be a shorter
video but hopefully it's helpful for you as it is for me.
Alright, so we really
want to be conversational when we're on camera. We want to talk to one person at a
time, right through that camera and a lot of times when I'm coaching my clients,
maybe they're reading from a teleprompter, that's when it's hard to be
conversational and I'll coach them and I'll show them, okay, this is what not to
do, this is what to do. And I might think I'm pretty good at demonstrating that
but I found some examples that do a far better job than me demonstrating, a far
better job than I can do. So I want to just jump in. Okay, this is a pretty cool
guy. He's very crafty and he is teaching in this video how he made his
own camper, camper trailer from scratch. But I want you to pay attention to a
couple things. Notice how he says "thee". I don't know why he says the instead of
"the" but maybe it just sounds official. He kind of says things in certain phrases,
he's got a certain cadence, he goes through like he's listing things off.
Again, the word that I like is official. So let's just play it a little bit here
and you can get a feel of his intro. Tavel trailer project and today, I'm
going to get you caught up on everything that I've completed since finishing the
basic frame in the last video and that has been beefing up the trailer tongue,
fabricating the wheel wells, adding the floor support structure and the flooring
and then filling in the walls with some infill supports as well as window frames
and then the most obvious change you will notice is that I've clad the whole
thing in white painted aluminum that was supplied to me by my local industrial
model. Okay so, see what I mean by him sounding really official?
It sounds like he's giving some time of an official report maybe to a committee or
something like that, it doesn't sound like he's really talking to me.
If you're talking to me, it might be more "Yeah, we've made some good progress.
You know, we've put in the fluorine."
I don't remember the things he said. But we put in the wheel wells..
It would just be conversational as if you were talking to me next to him or
if I were on the phone with him or something like that. Okay, but now I've
got an even better example than I can demonstrate. Okay, what we're looking at
here. This is actually an actor used as B-roll but pay attention to the voice
then it will switch over to Elder Christofferson as he's talking. And it
just sounds so genuine and authentic. This easily could be scripted. I'm
betting that he probably had this fully written out but it sounds so genuine and
so conversational that I just loved it. And I thought this is a perfect example
and I've shared this with my clients many times to show them what I mean by
you know, be conversational, pause and and whatnot. So I'm going to hit play here.
It's been a blessing to me ever since to have had that rather harrowing experience
because of what it meant for my relationship with him. So, I just love...
even though it's just so short. I just love the pauses, you know. What it meant
for my relationship with him and he did it you know way better than I did, I'm
just trying to imitate what he did there. You just think about how much more
connection you can have with your viewers, if you slow it down and you put
more feeling into it, you put more thought into it and you make it more
conversational. That's all I have for you today. I hope that was powerful. Hopefully
that was helpful and seen that example. If you're like me, I know that you'll
want to actually go back and watch these videos so that you can get it in full
quality. This is my recorder, recording my screen playing the videos. But I'll give
you the link to these two YouTube videos be sure to subscribe and I'll see you tomorrow.
