Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) LCD Repair | Video Guide - Duration: 6:31.

Welcome to another MyTrendyPhone repair.

In this video we are repairing

the Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 model.

You can attempt the repair yourself,

but we strongly suggest

that you take your phone to a professional repair shop.

You can perform this repair

with only a couple of basic tools

in about 25 minutes.

Now, let us start the repair.

Turn off your phone and remove the sim tray.

Heat-up the phone

in order to loosen the glue holding the back cover.

Now, you can slide the metal tool

in between the glass and the frame,

then use plastic picks to cut-through the glue.

Lift-off the back cover slightly,

and don't forget to unplug the fingerprint scanner

before you completely remove the battery cover.

At this point,

the phone lost it's ingress protection,

and it's not water resistant anymore,

so be aware of that

before you even start the repair.

Remove the old glue residue from the back cover,

and set the cover down for later.

Now, remove all the screws holding the nfc assembly,

the antenna assembly,

and the loudspeaker,

so you can gain access to the motherboard.

Pop-off the plastics,

to uncover the board, and all the connections.

Disconnect all the flex connectors,

and always start with the battery.

There are a couple more screws

that hold the motherboard,

remove them, and remove the board out of the frame.

Now we should separate the LCD from the frame

the same way we did with the back cover.

When the screen is removed,

thoroughly clean the frame from the glue residue,

before you apply some fresh B-7000 glue

on the front side of the frame.

It's time to install the new LCD display,

then reinstall the motherboard,

and replug all the connectors,

ending with the battery.

Put-back the antenna,

the nfc, and the loudspeaker assembly.

Tighten all the screws.

Apply some b-7000 glue around the edges,

and set the back glass down,

but don't forget to reconnect the fingerprint scanner flex cable

before you bring the glass and the frame together definitely.

Use clamps to hold the screen,

and the back cover tight until the glue dries.

And that is it, your phone is as good as new.

An Instagram video reportedly shows the Toronto shooter.

An Instagram user has posted video that appears to show the Toronto gunman who shot 14 people in the city's Greektown area.

You can watch the video below but be aware that it's disturbing.

The video shows the shooter, clad all in black, walking down the street before, unprovoked, he takes out a gun and starts shooting.

Toronto police confirmed: "14 victims were shot with a handgun.

1 female adult has died.

1 young girl in critical condition.

Suspect is dead (not included in 14 victim total)." Police chief Mark Saunders said police did not yet know the motive.

The video was backed up by another witness who said on CP24 television that the gunman was wearing all black.

The mass shooting unfolded along Danforth Avenue, a popular restaurant area in Toronto.

The victims were strewn over several blocks in Greektown, according to multiple reports.

Here's the chief talking about the victims:.

The Instagram user, @ArielAnise, wrote with the Instagram video, "WARNING disturbing content @TorontoPolice @CBCToronto Shooting outside our window at Chester and Danforth  praying for victims." The Instagram user then deleted her page but not before the video spread on the Internet.

Heavy viewed the video on the original page before it was deleted.

A Witness Described the Gunman Shooting 'Aimlessly' at People.

Police say it's too early to say whether terrorism is involved.

"I'm keeping everything open.

Looking at every single possible motive for this; when you have this many people struck by gunfire, it's a grave concern," said Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders.

"I certainly want to find out exactly what it is, so I am not closing any doors or any chapters on this.

I certainly don't want to speculate… I don't know why he did what he did, and he won't be able to tell us because he is deceased.".

A witness speaking on CP24 said the shooter was "running around shooting at people aimlessly" before possibly shooting himself.

The witness said she believed at least one woman had died.

"Two young girls were lying down on the street shot," she said.

According to CBC, there is no longer an active shooter.

The shooting occurred outside Christina's Restaurant.

Multiple victims were seen lying on the ground, reported The Toronto Sun.

Jeremy Cohn, a digital journalist with Global News Toronto, shared video from the scene on Twitter (which you can see later in this article) and wrote, "BREAKING: Multiple people shot on Danforth Av in Greektown.

Victims are spread across many blocks." Merella Fernandez, a CTV reporter, described the scene as a popular area with restaurants and said witnesses reported hearing more than a dozen shots.

City News Toronto wrote on Twitter, "#UPDATE: Paramedics say the crime scene encompasses a large area and a number of victims have suffered significant injuries." The mass shooting occurred in the area of Danforth and Logan Avenues, City News reported.

The motive for the shooting is not clear, including whether terrorism could be involved or some other motive, and the gunman has not been identified.

Nicholas Lemon wrote on Twitter that he was at the location where the shooting occurred.

"There has been a mass shooting about 2-3 blocks along the Danforth in Toronto where I currently am located.

We are safe.

But the street has 2-3 dozen EMS, police, fire, etc., vehicles.

5-10 victims (there are unconfirmed death/s).
