Ce document a bien été tourné par un détenu pendant l'évasion de Redoine Faïd, dimanche 1er juillet, a confirmé à France 3 une source policière

Family and friends denounce that the responsible fled from the scene and that the NYPD is putting obstacles in the investigation.

A video surveillance camera shows the moment when the minor of 4 years, Luz González, is hit by the driver of a truck in Brooklyn while her mother Reyna Candia put a shoe.In the clip recorded from cameras of a building in front of the laundry where the collision occurred shows the moment in which the driver overwhelms the mother and the daughter and continues on his way.Last Sunday, the girl was playing with a skateboard on the sidewalk next to the parking lot of a laundry on the corner of Wyckoff Avenue and Hart Street, when a shoe was removed and the mother bent to put it on.

At the same time, a van pulled back out of the parking lot, but then went forward and hit them.

Another video shows the bloodied child in her mother's arms while waiting for medical attention. The family alleges that the driver fled the scene, but authorities determined that there is insufficient evidence to establish that the woman left the scene.

The driver, who is only known to be a 38-year-old Hispanic woman, was released. This Friday, family and friends moved to the area where the hit was reported, to demand more action from the Police and the prosecution of the person responsible.

The family also opened an account at GoFoundMe to raise funds.Previously, Fabiola Mendieta-Cuapio, godmother of the minor, denounced the alleged stalemate in the investigation of the case."We want answers and we want her to be punished for what she did," the woman said in an interview with Conexión Migrante.Mendieta-Cuapio also argued that, allegedly, an officer of the New York Police Department (NYPD) intimidated the mother of the minor.

The interviewee did not elaborate on these allegations.

Family members also noted that the person responsible has relatives in the NYPD.Information circulating in networks about the case and publications asking for "Justice for light" indicate that the woman's brother is allegedly a NYPD sergeant.

They also state that they have threatened the mother and family with reporting to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) if they continue to press charges against the driver. In this regard, the NYPD has not expressed itself.

The authorities also investigate the parking of the laundry, as it is unsafe for pedestrians, since the cars have to pass through a sidewalk to enter the space.
