- Hello class of 2018.
Congratulations for making it this far
and for earning your degrees this year.
For a lot of you, you'll be earning your Bachelors degree
and you will be transitioning into the workforce,
which is a very exciting time in one's life.
I still remember kind of walking out
the doors of my university and realizing like, oh no,
now I'm a grownup.
Now gotta go to work everyday, start earning a paycheck,
which is a pretty exciting thing to do.
We couldn't be more proud of you all
and you all should be very proud of yourselves.
This is a great achievement to get this far,
to get these degrees and to start working in a field
that I think for most of us
is very rewarding and very important.
We aren't just going to work a job,
we are a part of someone's healthcare.
And it's a big thing, I think, for most of us
to be a part of making someone better
and to diagnose their disease.
And then to help get them treatment
or whatever field we'll be working in.
It's pretty a great thing.
I wish you all the best of luck.
We are always very sad to see you go.
This is my sixth year here now
and the classes that are now graduating,
I've pretty much seen from the day they walked
in the door to now when they're graduating,
and it's very difficult, it's hard to see you guys go.
We built a lot of rapport with you and friendships,
I hope, for a lot of you.
I think we all consider ourselves more than just educators,
but mentors and colleagues and it's hard to see you guys go.
I just hope you kind of remember us
and come back and say hello.
And stay in touch.
Have a good one guys.
And again, we are so proud of you
and you all should be very proud of yourselves.
Be sure to thank your family and friends
for helping to support you through the times
and all the studying and hard work you've done.
And good luck at your next job and your next school
and your next venture.
Have a good one.
