Today we are going to review a mod from DOVPO
DOVPO M VV
The mod is voltage regulated
you control the Voltage through this potentiometer
This mod is similar in principle to TESLA Invader III and Noisy cricket 2
will give you a close view to the mod
and we will unbox to see what comes in the packaging and its specifications
this is the packaging of this mod as you can see
now i'm going to show you how to use this mod
this is a dual 18650 battery mod
this is the battery door, as you can see its firm not loose and it is easy to open
there is a carbon fiber like sticker on the battery door, i guess it helps with reducing heat to the outside
now i will talk about the cons
the main pro is the batteries voltage meter
there are 4 LEDs indicating the voltage of the batteries
i have fully charged batteries it should be around 8.4 volts
with the use the volt drops down and less LEDs will glow
until you reach one glowing LED that means your batteries need to be changed
the voltage regulator or the Potentiometer is easy to use
you can change the volt with your finger or by using a screw driver
another pro, is that the output voltage ranges from 1 to 8 volts
means if you twist the potentiometer to the far counter clock wise it should give 1 volt
alternatively, if you twist it to the other side it should give 8 volts
i will test that later in this review
this is the fire button.... it is ok
the 510 connection is spring loaded and it works fine
the body material is Zinc Alloy
and the outer material is smooth and grippy . it doesn't slip from your hand
dimenstions are 95 x 45 x 24 mm
you can fit atomizers up to 24 mm without over hanging
i have the Goon LP 24 .. let me put it on and show you
about the weight its normal. not too much heavy and not too light
now i will compare the Dovpo M VV with Tesla invader III
dimension wise they both look the same in height and width
as for the thickness, Tesla is 22 mm wide, while the Dovpo is 24 mm
i find the 510 connection in the Dovpo better than it in the Tesla
as you can see, Tesla's 510 is slightly protruding up by 2 mm, your atomizers wont sit flush on the surface
as for the fire button, i find it better in the Tesla. it is bigger and has better feeling when firing
Tesla invader doesn't have any battery meter, and here where the Dovpo excelled
the battery door is good in both mods, firm and doesn't slip or rattle
they both have similar weight
and they both are made of Zinc alloy
now i will test the output voltage range in both mods
i will install fully charged batteries in the Tesla and i already have batteries in the Dovpo
min. reading is 3.78 volts
if i change it to the middle it reads at 4.9 volts
max. reading is 6.6 volts
so the actual range is 3.5 to 6.6
as for the Dovpo
min. reading is 2.6 volts, it doesn't fire below that
max. reading is 7.7 volts
as for the price, they are both retailing at 27$ at efun.top
