Filmora Blur Effect | How To Blur Faces in Video with Filmora 9 - Duration: 2:43.

I've done some pretty bad things in my life that I'm not very proud of but with

the help of the witness protection program my family and I have been able

to live a reasonably normal life knowing that the crime syndicate that I helped put in jail

Hit the subscribe button and click the notification bell to be part of the conversation

This is actually a fairly easy effect to create

The first thing you want to do is to bring your footage into Filmora

and down into your timeline

Filmora 8 used to have what they called the "Power Tool"

that would allow you to create blurred areas but that feature has been moved

In Filmora 9, you'll want to click on your footage and then in the

upper left,click on "Effects"

and in the drop-down menu on the left, click on "Utility"

You'll see an options window open up. It's the Mosaic feature that we want to use.

Drag that down into a track above the footage you're working on

And it will create a small blurred area in the center of your preview screen

Before you adjust that, be sure to lock your main tracks

So that you don't accidentally move them

Click up in the preview window and it will highlight the blurred Mosaic layer

You can now resize, reshape and move that wherever you want it to go

I'll just drop that over my face

it's about time that someone did that to my face.

Yikes.

Now over in the upper left you'll have some options

You have six different mosaics to choose from

I like this pixelated one for what we're doing today

Click on that and from there you can adjust the blur amount

or pixelation size

you can also adjust the opacity which allows you to adjust how

transparent this blurred effect layer is

I don't want anything showing through

So I'll set that at 100

For my voice effect all I did was click on the audio file

and in the upper left I set the pitch to minus three

That made my voice sound deeper

and unrecognizable to complete the overall effect

There are a lot more audio effects that you can create with Filmora

and I'll put a link to those in the upper right

Once I had this all together

I dropped a little dramatic music underneath to complete the overall effect

and... voila...

Front door video at her Frederick, Colorado, home captures the moment a friend drops Watts from the airport on August 13, 2018. She can be seen carrying her suitcase up the driveway and to the door.

The short video clip is believed to be the last time Shanann Watts, who was 15 weeks pregnant, is seen to be alive. Within hours possibly even minutes Shanann was slain, authorities have said.

Her husband, Chris Watts, pleaded guilty in November to first degree murder and other charges in the death of his wife and young daughters. He was sentenced to five life sentences with no possibility of parole.

HLN obtained the new video through an open records request with the Weld County District Attorneys Office. Prosecutors had not previously released the footage.

Immediate suspicions

By mid afternoon of August 13, friends and family of Shanann were starting to become concerned. She wasnt answering her phone and her daughters hadnt shown up for preschool.

Authorities said the three were dead by this time. Its not clear whether the girls were alive when their mother arrived home.

A massive investigation and search, involving the local police department, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, ensued.

Within days, Shanann was found buried in a shallow grave on a ranch, just under an hour away from the couples home. Roughly 100 feet away were the bodies of her little girls, Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4. They had been dumped in separate 20 foot tall oil tanks.

Prosecutors said Chris Watts was having a secret affair with one of his co workers. As Shanann Watts desperately tried to save her crumbling marriage, police say her husband was focused on this new love interest.

Evidence also paints a picture of a, living well above its means.

Watts was sentenced to life in prison in November. Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke says his office continues to receive daily phone calls, emails and letters containing everything from conspiracy theories to suggestions on follow up investigations.

"This has certainly permeated the conscience of a big section of the public and we continue to get correspondence on a daily basis," Rourke says.
