In this video I'm going to continue the subject of how to date a Thai woman.
We're going to look at the types of Thai girl that you should date and where to find them.
This video is part two of a multi-part series.
Let's get started!
In the previous video I discussed the types of Thai women that you should try to avoid
having a serious relationship with.
Now I'm going to discuss the types of Thai women that can make a perfect lover, partner
or even wife.
I'd say that there are really 3 categories of women that you should look for.
Number 1.
The Family-Oriented 'Low-Society' Girl
Just because a woman doesn't come from money, this doesn't mean that she should be overlooked.
Many of these girls are genuine, have strong family values and are willing to truly support
a man who takes care of them.
Of course they'll expect you to have some money, but this doesn't mean serious wealth.
Even an English teacher's salary should be enough i.e.
THB40,000-THB50,000 per month.
They'll be looking for evidence of some money, as they know full well how hard it is to raise
a family without money!
If you can speak some basic Thai, and enjoy the company of a traditional Thai girl, this
type of girl is a solid choice if you're looking to date a Thai woman!
Number 2.
The Educated Middle Class University Girl
Personally if I was to date a Thai woman, this type of girl is my preferred choice.
This is the category of girl which I married, and it was a good decision.
One of the benefits of this type of girl is that you won't necessarily have to support
them financially as they are quite capable of supporting themselves!
This might surprise you but finding a Thai woman who falls into this category is not
that hard.
Especially when you are looking for her in Bangkok!
Honestly, I have lost count of the number of attractive Thai women in their late 20's,
30's and 40's who have a good job, degrees from prestigious universities yet no boyfriend.
It really is quite hard to comprehend as so many of these girls are attractive, intelligent
and solvent!
Most of this type of girl are open to date foreigners.
I have honestly lost count of the number of my wife's friends and colleagues who have
asked if I have any friends that I can introduce them to!
Note: They are smart enough to distinguish between creepy sex tourists and normal 'good
guys'.
From my experience, being with such a girl is broadly the same as being with a Western
girl.
However, binge drinking and partying hard will not be on her to do list.
She'll likely take a very dim view of this type of behavior.
Number 3.
The 'High-Society' Girl
Many of these girls are party girls.
Big time.
That said, there are some who are not.
You may be able to fit into their families.
You may not.
It really depends a lot on your background, and how you behave.
For what it's worth on your quest to date a Thai woman, I wouldn't rule this type of
girl out.
I wouldn't though hold your breath either.
They will be extremely hard work, and the odds of you being accepted by their family
is not going to be great.
A lot of the girls from the prestigious families will effectively have arranged marriages to
'acceptable' men from other prominent families.
It's not impossible though, and I know a number of guys who have married high-society, or
'hi-so', girls.
These days it's somewhat easier than in the past as there are a number of such unions
that have worked and gained acceptance.
So...How do you find a decent Thai girl?
This is the million dollar question!
It's actually easier than you might imagine.
Especially if you have some 'game'.
First off, find a girl who can speak English!
This is kind of obvious, but if she can't speak English at a basic level it's going
to make things a lot more complicated.
And probably more effort that it's worth.
If I was to go hunting for girls, I would go to some of the following places.
Number 1. Department stores like:
- Siam Paragon - Central World
- The Emporium
and Emquartier
Number 2. Around the top tier universities which have huge numbers of pretty girls that tick all
the boxes:
- Chulalonkorn University - Thammasat University
- Bangkok University - and The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce
Or number 3. Places like:
- Lumphini Park - and any decent upscale gym
Honestly, striking up a conversation is pretty easy as most Thai girls who can speak English
are happy to talk with foreigners.
Just open with; "Excuse me, do you speak English?", and this is often enough to get a conversation
going.
If you're in a department store you might ask if she can help you choose something to
buy -- you need her opinion on a shirt for example.
Women seem to love it when you ask their opinion on things.
Maybe go with something like; "You have a stylish look that I really like.
I need a shirt for a meeting and I could really use your opinion on what looks
good on me".
After a bit of time together you can suggest a meal to say thank you, and things might
snowball from there.
I'm not the king of game, but speaking with Thai girls is easy.
If I can do it, you definitely can!
There's also online dating.
I have no experience of this as I have been married the past 12 years.
Friend's of mine who have used the sites like Thai Cupid for example tell me that it is
like shooting fish in a barrel, if you have any game.
Anyway...That's it for this video.
