what's up guys welcome to another day um today is just an update and it's kind of
an important one because some prep is going down you ready for it ok so it's
not super crazy but essentially we're done here in Texas
we've had a lovely month and it's been so much fun but now we're gonna do this
two-week adventure which I'm super stoked on we're essentially going to
travel all around the south of Morocco in a car supposedly it's a nice car I'm
hoping this I don't know we booked it with our person that we're running from
so yeah you said it's a nice car so one of the reasons I really want to do this
road trip is to produce a film and this is basically my first film it's
something I've been wanting to do for a while now the vlogs have been mainly a
vehicle to have you guys as feedback which is super important you guys are
there you're saying oh that's good all that sucks
because at the end of the day like the people that are watching my films and
watching my videos are you guys so anytime you see something please don't
feel afraid or bad to comment that whatever you feel or whatever you think
cuz that's the only way that I'm going to improve and that's literally my
purpose in life is to improve on filmmaking so yes go for it but apart
from that I want to produce my first film and I think this trip is a perfect
time to do it but don't worry I will still be doing vlogs all the vlogs are
going to come out there's going to be cinematics in the vlogs I'm gonna run
that train as well so but not the next video actually that brings me to another
update I need to tell you my next video is going to be
a highlight reel now this is gonna give me like a little buffer of time because
I've already produced this highlight reel and it's going to be my welcome to
the page reel so yeah that's that's the cool update there's a few more items
that I would like to discuss with you guys as well but I have to check oh I've
been struggling a little bit with what direction I want to take do does the
travel human want to be a kind of informative vlog or video creator or
does the travel human want to do more of just like entertainment blogs I mean as
you guys know I'm not very entertaining I'm not I'm not a comedian I'm just more
of like a weirdo I'm not like a funny way so I mean I know who I am and I I'm
pretty chill - I don't I like just man I don't feel like I need to I don't want
to feel like I need to entertain all the time as well like I'm just who I am and
just my life and I like to put that out there and I like to share that but I
also like to motivate people to look outside of where they are oh my god I'm
getting so off track let's go back that's why I got this no vote seriously
honestly so I I am creating Facebook short videos and the first one comes out
actually it already came out the personal and already thing on the first
two already came out but more will come out in the future and I plan to get
about one a week that's where I really want to be at right now I have two out I
have the Romanian one out if you guys haven't seen that check that out on the
Facebook page it's about this freaking cool old train in Romania and the second
one is about surfing in teksu Morocco that one also my girlfriend she's a
travel writer she she has her own website and she posted an article to go
with that so that's just kind of like a I know no shame promo I'm just gonna
throw some promo her way but it's really cool combo because you know you have my
video and then you also have her her write up about it about our whole
experience so you get a little bit more detail that way we're moving on so I'm
gonna be doing those Facebook short videos eventually I'll get it to once a
week on top of the vlogs the Facebook live on Wednesdays I'm going to
basically be doing live every Wednesdays so that I can kind of connect to you
once I figure out how to do it on YouTube I will but as of right now I
don't know how to do it it's good I'll figure it out I promise I promise I will
do and actually I would rather do YouTube lives than faced by himself
YouTube community you guys have a one-up right there um but all but when I tried
last time they made it all confusing I had to download like a third-party app
but I heard they fixed it I heard they fixed it you two better fix
it so next is Oh YouTube so my next update is YouTube videos are gonna come
out Tuesday and Thursdays that's it period
so in UTC which is universal standard time something whatever maybe I got it
wrong but it's gonna come out around 8 p.m. right so nighttime 8:00 to 10:00
p.m. and then in New York it should be about I think five four to five and then
Orion should be about 2 p.m. so those are kind of like that's the time stuff
so I know I have viewers from kind of those regions so I tried to be as
accurate as possible to let you know when it comes out wherever you are
okay oh and lastly lastly of course I have a lot of recent subscribers and I
just want to say I'm really glad you like the content like super glad like
for a while there it was like plateauing and I was like what them but now I
understand you guys are appreciating the content and that makes me feel good and
it makes me motivates me more to create even better content yeah I've always had
a driving force to do better I'm always going to do better but that just kind of
reaffirms everything and makes me feel really good one thing that I've been
struggling with is that I don't really want to grow too big I know weird right
I know everybody's trying to kind of scratch and call their way to grow and
to get more numbers but I see a lot more value and and I'm from a small town
originally so this is kind of where I get this perspective but I see a lot
more value in creating a community a kind of a smaller community of similar
mind people that can add value to the conversations that are happening in the
comments section or that can add value and I can add value to you guys it's
just kind of like I don't know if you get the right people together there's
like infinite your possibilities can be accomplished like there's there's
yeah so so for me it's most important that we stay tied we stay small and we
Chuck on and we and we conquer things with each other and and and spread the
world I know in the grand scheme of things the reason why I started this
channel is to connect humans the traveling human was originally produced
to kind of connect the world I really when I was younger and starting it I had
this vision of just you know one world would love and I still do have a lot of
that but it's kind of a bit more refined now I I do know that maybe not getting a
mass following is the way to do that I think a smaller following smaller
community can make a large impact and that's really what I'm trying to foster
here though I do want more people to watch my videos and understand the world
I do want that but at the same time I want to have a small community and I and
I don't really know how that's gonna work and how I'm gonna do it but it's
something that I just I really want to emphasize so going into the future
hopefully we we all can emphasize creating that creating that positive
small community that helps each other and and spreads the goodness so cool
right so for all my new subscribers I definitely wanted to do a little intro
so here goes my name is Gary Gulman I left us about three years ago after
saving up money for a year I worked for different jobs construction I managed a
bar and I worked a personal trainer really part-time and then
so a landscaper really part-time you just called me up one man so I worked
through four different jobs paid off some debt and decided to venture on my
journey with in doing so I bought a camera and decided that I was going to
take some pictures and from taking pictures it turned it into I I found I
really enjoyed looking through a lens being in that state of total observation
just you and nature and the world and you're there to capture it I don't know
there's something about that kind of everything just disappears around you it
is and and your focal point narrows into one beautiful scenery or whatever
wherever you are so I I started getting into photography and then from that I
branched into videography I really enjoyed motion and then I got into
slow-mo which is what a lot of my montages are super slow-mo and just just
seeing the beauty in the distortion of time it's just freaking awesome um
anyway so I fell in love with all that stuff and I decided that I wanted to be
a travel videographer photographer whenever I kind of googled on how to be
one there was never really any good answer so I decided that just doing it
would be probably the best solution for me and I would just figure it out as I
went and master was my first year that I got work doing it and now I'm just happy
as a clam and producing tons of videos I'm like in
this like puppy love stage of creating and I'm just thrown out so much contact
so it has been a supercool journey for me and I'm just so in love with it right
now and I'm so glad that there is a community that I can share it with and a
very good community in fact a lot of that you guys are new subscribers and
old ones you guys this has all been just really great support and I have to thank
you a lot for it and I mean that's you are the reason why this is continuing
and this is being just even more more motivated more more passion is just
getting filled in to this and it's a little piece of every everybody who
comments and likes and and and and push it so I'm really really do appreciate it
so anyway that's me and that's my only old with this thing as far as the future
is concerned I'm just gonna keep getting projects there's a few projects coming
up that I don't want to mention right now because there's no contracts that
have been signed but there is a few projects in in the making that will take
me possibly to Europe I'll give you that that's the that's the secret and there
and I am just gonna keep producing content and keep producing films and I
look forward to to keep moving forward and keep keep sharing with you guys my
experiences and keeps sharing my trials and tribulations and my everything that
has to do with the process and in the process you trust so alright and so
that's basically it thanks a lot for joining I look forward
to talking to all of you and yeah next video is going to be a highlight reel of
my past travels and then after that will be the crazy road trip
