Dylusions Paint & Finnabair Patina Effect Paste Demo| Be Still Motivational Video - Duration: 8:46.
Welcome back to Art That Plays and Prays.
I'm Ginger and today, I'm jumping into some mindless, intuitive painting.
I didn't plan anything ahead of time.
I just thought I'll come in and throw paint any way I want, without overthinking the outcome.
My main ingredient would be these very bright acrylic paints.
Dylusions is the brand, from Ranger.
They're very fluid, deeply saturated, and easy to apply with brushes, palette knives,
sponges, or even with your fingers.
I'll also be demonstrating the Patina Effect Paste.
I'll use it for my background later.
These pastes from Prima Marketing come in two matte colors, green and turquoise, and
one shiny copper metallic color.
They add a very grainy texture to your surface, and it's very interesting.
And you'll love to try this out.
I'll be creating a lot of textures with non-conventional supplies.
Besides the usual stencils, you'll see me stamp colors with bubble wrap, old credit
card, make-up sponge and sea sponge.
I also bunched together some left-over colored pencils, tied them with an elastic, and used
them as stamping tool.
I guess what I want to show you is that you can create art without having to spend too
much on supplies.
So just grab anything from your house, like bottle caps or kitchen scrapers, or anything
that has the potential of building layers of color.
Though I don't have specific plans with this canvas, I've taken inspiration from
the art of a good friend.
Patsy is an amazing artist and she paints these whimsical birds and flowers.
And I thought, "How cool is that!"
So I wanted to create my own garden too.
If you're interested to see her work, why not check out Patsy's blog.
I have her site linked below, in my description.
I've also captioned this painting, "Be Still" because this message jumps out at me all the time.
I guess it's because I'm always stressing over things, and it's God's way of flagging me down.
Like He always says, "Be still."
You might be wondering.
For a video about being still, why is my music so jumpy?
Doesn't make sense, right?
Why didn't I pick a more tranquil, sleep-inducing song?
Honestly, this soundtrack makes me want to dance and snap my fingers, rather than meditate
on the Word.
But actually, that's my exact point.
It is difficult to be still when our life is a flurry of activity.
It is close to impossible to stay put, when we'd rather move with the beat, take control
of our situation, and do something.
Just do something.
When life catches us off-guard, when difficulty comes and we want to take action, often God
says instead, "Be still and know that I am God."
It's that beautiful verse in Psalm 46 which many people think is irrelevant.
But it is relevant.
It is important for us to cease striving, to stop crying, to relax and cool it.
Otherwise, we will explode.
We will self-destruct, unless we put matters back into God's hands where they originally belong.
Society pushes us to worry about our health, to worry about money, education, our work,
our relationships, our status update in Facebook and how many likes we get.
We worry about what people think.
We stress over trivial things, over major things, over childish and over life-threatening stuff.
Through them all, God says, "Keep quiet.
I can handle it.
The last time I checked, I am still God."
For most of us, the real problem is not that we can't be still.
The real problem is that we don't know God.
Like really know Him.
I'm not talking about just a head-knowledge of God, but a deep, intimate heart-knowledge of God.
Do we really understand His power to control events?
Do we really believe He can turn things in our favor?
Do we really know how special we are in His sight, and that our problems are His problems too?
Do we really know?
Can we acknowledge that even with our sins, we are lovable in His eyes?
Because if we do, then being still won't be a problem.
We can trust enough to stay put.
We can stop shivering and fidgeting.
We can stop biting our nails.
Because we know God loves us enormously.
We know we're first priority.
And He will take over.
He will restore what we lost.
He will come to patch up our brokenness and resuscitate us back to fullness of life.
So dear friends, life is beautiful.
It is bright and beautiful, full of promise, full of joy, just like this vibrant garden.
Even when the cross sits heavily on your shoulders, you can calm down, because you know that God
is still God.
He is all-knowing, all-seeing, overflowing with compassion for you.
He will act and navigate storms for you.
Once you know and accept this to be true, once you have faith deep enough to accept
God is God, then you're free to be still.
This is Ginger.
Thanks for joining me in another episode of Art That Plays and Prays.
See you again soon.

♪ "Don't Mine At Night" A Music Video by BebopVox Parody Cover ♪ [400 Subscribers #4] - Duration: 4:06.
Got my helmet on my head,
Figure out what that zombie said.
Lava all over the room,
Gotta' half heart left, man, I am doomed.
Don't have any iron bars,
My Pick just broke into some shards.
Scary noise what should I do?
Go left or right I'll have to choose.
Visions of last time, flash inside my mind
I'm scared, OH WELL.
And I'm pretty sure, there's a big creeper
Right there! (Dang!)
Don't mine at night.
I know your lookin' at that cave
And your feelin' kinda' brave.
Go to bed you'll be alright.
Don't mine at night.
There's nothing that is gonna' change
If you just wait until the day.
Zombie wanna' eat your brains.
Don't mine at night.
I know it's me your gonna' thank
Make a bed it's not too late.

Marco's Monthly Top 5 Online videos - April 2018 - Duration: 3:25.
every month we look at some of the best online videos produced by some of the
top creative brands organizations and influencers around the world our goal
here at Ascential video is to understand what they do, learn something new from
them and hopefully give you a your brand a little bit of inspiration welcome to our
monthly top online videos. Last month we slightly changed the format of our
monthly vlog, you can click here to see our last video, so what we did was to
select the videos and classify them in five categories: Best short doc interview,
Best commercial, Best reporting a journalism, Best long form and Vest
YouTube channel of the month. Let's get started. Our top short doc interview is
an interview with illustrator artist Monica Favre. In this a day-in-the-life
type of video we learn about her process, influencers and we get to see her
studio in east London. In this video we don't see fancy camera movements,
slow-motion shots. It's a very polished video shot on a tripod .What makes the
video great is the story, the work of the artist, the shot from different angles,
the close-ups and for me her beautiful french voice. She's a true artist and such
an inspiration. Our best commercial of the month is AI therapy. The guys behind
Ted the people brings us a lot of talks have produced this quirky and fun video
where an AI boat is in therapy dealing with the very human concerns. Very funny
Our top report video is colorscope a series of animation films produced by
the CNN that explores our perception of color across cultures and other
curiosities. In this video for example we found out why blue is the world's
favorite color or why red can make us more competitive but also attractive. People
from Coloro you should check them out. Our best long-form documentary is Tough
Conversation. In this one-hour documentary we see the punk legend Henry
Rollins traveling around Australia talking to a
wide range of individuals from athletes, artists and activists but who all share
something in common: what they consider the idea of toughness means to them. The
documentary is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz
this is a really good example to create long-form content about topics such the idea of toughness
in this case, in our case can be creativity in advertising in fashion or
technology in banking and so on. Our best YouTube channel of the month is Vanity
Fair. Vanity Fair captures the people places and ideas they are defining
modern culture. Their YouTube channel is a very good mix of videos. Some of the
most engaging video series they produce are for example Slang School featuring
in this video Billy Nye teaching science slang, or celebrities Instagram when a
celebrity explained fun stories behind their Instagram accounts or this series
when two actors discuss a typical British day. The series are are aimed at
feeding the consumers and advertisers growing demand for online video content
now the channel has over 700,000 subscribers and according to
socialblade.com their estimated earnings from YouTube is between 5 to 60 K per month
Not too bad.
Thanks for watching today's episode. I hope you enjoyed it don't
forget to comment and subscribe to our channel and I'll see you next month ciao
