and now I already bought a new camera
lets get started with the camera
so finally I decided to bought Canon M5
a new mirrorless camera from Canon
the body first
I bought this from Focus Nusantara

there's a little bit curve
because it's a wide lens
and for self portrait you can see more than just your face

so we can take a picture together by just holding it like this

a lot of people complaining about the Canon M5 screen, flips down
not to the side, or up
so in my opinion, this is the what makes Canon M5 special
yes, if you put it on a tripod you can't even use your flip screen
BUT, I found a hack, so we still can use it on a tripod
here it is
a bracket
and there's a hot shoe attached
lets just install it
not too tight because I want to show you
eventhough we put it on like this the battery door can be accessible
just loosen up the screw mount, don't tighten it up, just turn the screw mount
then you can change your battery and memory card
simple
with this bracket we can put it on a tripod
this is the solutions for Canon M5's flip screen down
yeah.. problem solved, right?
and also the Canon M5 quality is not that great but also not that bad
the bad is that this camera is overpriced
but I bought it
and now I'm broke
*sighing*
and, it's your own opinion and taste
I'm not gonna brag about Canon
I'm learn photography when I'm still using Fujifilm
and I really love Fujifilm for photography
but for now, I need an all-round camera
that has a mic input, for video, Image Stabilization, for photography, and I choose Canon M5
and the main point is the flip screen
sometimes when we're looking at the lens or under the lens
it won't be too noticeable
so, we're slightly looking down, our eyes still seems like we're still looking at the lens
compare to when we're looking up to the flip screen when it is flips up is too obvious
and if the screen flips to the side, it looks more obvious
so flip screen down, just slightly look down, there's no different
ALMOST, unnoticable
so, this is why I choose Canon M5
and, the flip screen problem is solved
with this bracket
anything can be solved
if you to find this thing, you can search or buy this at any camera accessories store
ask for a bracket
and there's also one with a handle like this
there's 2 hot shoes
at the side and at the top
so you can mount your microphone or flash there
and there can be 1, 2, 3 hot shoes, so 3 hot shoes
but I rarely use this handle, I'm using the bracket more often because I can use a tripod
okay lets put it aside, and continue
mount the microphone
tighten up

if you guys interested to get the Canon M5 then go ahead if you have the budget
but I admit it this is expensive
overpriced
because the quality is average good, not great
there's a lot of greater camera, for example the new one, Canon 80D
8D specs is almost the same with M5, but bigger, different lens and the screen flips to the side
this one is flips down
it's all up to your taste and what you need
so stop hating whatever it is
because it's not good hating on this and that
mocking this brand that brand
fanboy this fanboy that
it has no end
technology will always come forward, more advance, and developed
so if you guys still hating on this brand that brand, it will has no end to it
so just pick the one you need, doesn't matter what people say
follow your heart
and follow your wallet too
