Waching daily Jan 5 2017

Hello and welcome to the first episode humaldoTV of 2017!

Thank you for tuning in again,

I wish you a happy new year!

What do I have planned for today? A lot!

I was pretty busy with doing some YouTube research to answer

my question of the christmas week: Are there YouTubers in Austria who are doing

similar things like I am are doing?

Before that I will present the results of my YouTube research,

As said, I spent quite a lot of time with YouTube

And have researched quite a lot.

Right now there is a bit of housekeeping and announcements to do, as always.

2017 has started and I have a big plans!

For example, I've already released my first little non-humaldoTV video,

a short test, where I tried out to use Apple Earpods

as a Lavalier microphone, because when I am filming outside,

and there are lots of noises, the audio quality of the recordings is always quite bad and up to now I had still no desire

to buy me a Lavalier micro. You can see this on my YouTube channel.

I also have a lot more planned, for example: during the Christmas break,

I changed my consoles setup, they are now directly at my workplace

And I've ordered Capturing Hardware, which should be arriving soon.

So I'm soon able to capture videos of the games I play and insert into my videos.

But I do not know yet whether I should do classic Let's Play videos

Because the market is completely overrun and flooded with Let's Plays,

or whether I should develop my own format, for example, short reviews, or impression videos.

Yes, short reviews or impressions of some great games. We will see.

Speaking of games, as announced I have played The Last Guardian,

It's an awesome game on the PS4,

I do not know who of you played Ico and Shadow of the Colossus,

Which came out on the Playstation 2 and were afterwards also remastered for the Playstation 3

The Last Guardian is more or less the third, unofficial part of this series and it's just awesome.

If you like Shadow of the Colossus just a little,

then you'll love The Last Guardian, I promise you.

Today on the recording day, I take the whole thing a bit before before I publish it,

Today is Tuesday, something else has happened today: I'm exactly 10 years on Last FM!

Whoever does not know it, Last FM started as a web radio and streaming service,

At least until 2014, then the streaming service was shut down.

It was founded by Austrian and German guys, which is quite interesting.

The cool thing about Last FM is that there is the so-called Audioscrobbler,

This is a plugin for quite a lot of applications, such as Spotify,

and you can track the music you're listening to.

which creates really nice statistics, and you can find your musical neighbors.

On the basis of the music you're listening to, it suggests other users,

who have a similar musical taste as you have. There are lots of statistics,

As for example, that is now Last.year, everything is shown here

which and how many titles, which albums I listened to the most,

When I listened to them, at which time of the day and so on, quite interesting.

So, happy 10 years last FM birthday to me!

The question of the Christmas week in episode 14 was, are there other Austria YouTubers

who deal with similar topics as I do, subcultural stuff and so on,

and since I have only partially found a conclusion, which I will address later,

I will extend this question.

I'm still looking forward to your comments about

Relevant hints and suggestions of other YouTubers! What brings me to the next part:

YouTube! At my Christmas holidays I talked to some people and they kept asking the same,

quite similar questions, therefore I will now try to answer these questions, so let's go!

(Do you want to make money with your videos on YouTube?)

Haha, yes, that was clearly always the first question, and I have a sample calculation:

Rumors say that YouTubers get 1 Euro for every 1000 views.

Let's briefly calculate: I have recorded 14 humaldoTV episodes so far,

And these episodes have a total of 1,800 views. That means

I would have earned already 1.80 euros for all my humaldoTV episodes combined.

Let's suppose I put 5 hours of work in every episode, then I would have spent about 70 hours already,

And if I now divide this 1.80 euros by the 70 hours, then I get on an hourly wage

of about 3 cents.

I'm not having the illusions that I can make money with YouTube sooner or later,

I would need quite different amounts of views.

There is a pretty cool site, which is called Socialblade, where you can just enter any YouTuber,

and there are pretty awesome statistics, for example, this is my statistics.

My estimated earnings is between 30 cents and 5 euros per month, year earnings between 4 euros and 65 euros.

So clearly, not enough to make a living.

But, let's look at one of the most famous YouTuber,

This Mr. PewDiePie. This guy has 52 million subscribers

and 14 billion video views. If you look at this now, the guy earns

between 80,000 and 1.4 million every month.

This is, of course, an incentive for many, but this is the absolute exception,

growing that big without having a large network in the background.

But I'll get to that later. Next question!

(Why do you do that at all?)

So I always have liked to play around with video

I will go into more deeply in later episodes. Already as a child it was my dream,

to do something creative with pictures,

And as teenagers we have made short videos already.

And I love to talk about things that I like,

if I like something, and I get emotinal about it,

I want to talk about it. These videos are a valve for me, that I use to share my joy with the world.

I think, if you look at my videos, you'll notice, or I hope you'll notice,

that they are made with passion, and not just because of the money.

(What do you offer your audience?)

I hope a bit of entertainment, a nice time,

in any case no waste of time. But if someone feels my videos as a waste,

then he just shouldn't watch. Of course, I also try to offer interesting things.

At the moment not that much, because I'm still not that much on the road,

But I already have some plans to visit people, visits facilities,

talk about more substantiated topics, or at least point in some directions.

I do not want to offer super-elaborate documentaries or studies,

there are others who do that much much better than me.

But at least I want to show the direction,

and if you are interested, you already have a picutre

and can deepen your knowledge by yourself.

And of course

Fun.

(Your channel has hardly any subscriptions and your videos have very few likes.

Do you have an Audience at all?!

FOR WHOM DO YOU PRODUCE ALL THOSE VIDEOS?!?!?!?!11)

This is a question that has also been asked many times, why do you actually do that,

when your videos are not even watched by a hundred people?

I know people are watching them, I personally know some people watching my videos

and they like hem, and this motivates me enough to continue. This is actually the reason.

The hope is, of course, that my Subscribers rise a bit and

more and more people watch, and I, of course, can improve myself and my videos will

become more and more interesting. Basically, it is enough that I know there are a few people who like it.

(Why dialect?)

Because it is my natural language. I grew up with my dialect,

I just talk that way, that's just me. It does not make sense to me

to adjust myself for YouTube or for something else.

I am not interested at all in talking high German.

Talking high German is for me almost like disguising myself.

That would almost feel like a role for me, which I play. That's not me.

And therefore dialect. Sorry for the people who do not understand everything,

But from my own experience I have seen that most high German-speaking people

even if they are not from Austria, understand dialect.

In the worst case however, here are German subtitles.

In general I find it very unfortunate that there are extremely little YouTuber from Austria,

who really dare to speak dialect.

(Are you satisfied with your videos?)

Haha, honestly? I'm doing something and while I'm doing it,

I'm fully satisfied with it, but as soon it is finished, the self-doubt immediately starts and I think,

Fuck, that's not the best possible result.

Or, isn't that the biggest shit ever made?

But on the other hand, I also know that to a large extent this is only

my self-perception and other people see it quite differently.

Honestly, it's quite hard for me to watch my own stuff, my videos,

or any other thing I do, afterwards, because ...

But there I have to go through.

On the other hand, my audience tells me that it is not soooo bad.

(What are your goals for 2017?)

Continue this regularity of delivering a new episode every Thursday

and broadcasting live every Sunday, I want to increase my quality,

expand my customer base a bit, continue,

And maybe get 300 subscribers at some point in the future.

This is also funny! You can look up the Future Projections at Socialblade.

With my current growth, I will have 600 subscribers in one year

And I will break the 1000 subscribers in two years, and in 5 years I will have 2300 subscribers.

That's how it is, and even when no more viewers come, it's ok.

Let's get to the next point, my Vlog and YouTube research.

The question, that every YouTuber asks himself, is

how can I expand my audience? Unfortunately, I think there is an unpleasant truth,

and that is, as a lone figher you have almost no chance, at least according

to what I have found in my research and from my own experiences.

In addition, it is very difficult to estimate long-term because YouTube always changes the algorithms,

how they sort their search results, like they recommend videos and so,

This is a bit hidden from the view and can be changed at any time.

This is also a big and unpredictable a factor.

Sooner or later even the most ambitious YouTuber will need the help

of so-called multichannel networks.

What's that?

I can only say what I've found on the Internet

Because I have no personal experience with something like that.

Even this KSfreak, this Austrian Super-YouTuber,

is now in a multichannel network, Studio71,

which is a 100% subsidiary of ProSiebenSat1, actually a huge media company,

which, of course, also have certain means to build up networks and increase their reach.

Actually, pretty much all the larger YouTubers have such a network behind them.

I'm pretty sure that without such a network it's quite impossible,

unless you started quite early on YouTube and really got a customber base it

in an organic way. But I believe that, by and large, these are the exceptions.

There are various such networks, such as Mediakraft,

of which one hears quite often, Endemol also has such a multichannel network,

Endemol is one of the huge media groups with a lot of money at hand.

Fullscreen, for example, and in Austria there is also one, Diego5,

There are existing for two years now, I think,

and they promote only Austrian YouTuber. I think.

In addition to these normal Vloggers and YouTubers, there are also well-founded channels,

with good editorial-edited content, and most of those YouTubers

have their origins at Gamepro, this video game magazine from Germany,

Which produced High5 a couple of years ago.

High5 was a YouTube channel, which mainly concerned with video games and nerd topics.

This was a fixed team, which made the videos,

Everything was pretty well produced, it was actually already real TV broadcast quality on the Internet.

A few years ago, High5 got cancelled and

most of the contributors now have their own YouTube channels.

in the description below you'll find two farewell videos,

where you can see pretty clearly

Who now has his own YouTube channel from this High5 Connection

There are quite a lot around.

And also they have quite powerful partners in the background

like Webedia, which now owns Gamepro.

Long question, short: YouTube as a lone fighter is extremely difficult, if not almost impossible.

Without a partner, without a multichannel network behind, getting impressive follower numbers,

let's say more than 20, 30,000, is almost impossible.

This is now all based on my quick research of the last few weeks.

You can correct me in the comments, and virtually slap in my face.

And now to the final part of this episode, the partial elucidation of the question of the week:

Are there other YouTubers in Austria, who deal with subcultural topics,

which are similar to what I do? The links to those YouTubers are below in the description.

I'm sure everyone is happy when you visit their channels and also subscribe

Because we must work together.

Above all, Simon Moon,

who was the decisive reason

That I started with my channel.

When I first saw his videos, I thought, yeah, finally someone makes something!

I'm starting now too! And here I am with humaldoTV.

Christoph Waxenegger, a good old friend of mine, commented:

German-speaking and remotely similar: Nerdkultur.

That connects perfectly with what I said earlier,

Nerdkkultur operator is Marco Risch, who works for Webedia

And was a member of High5!

I feel flattered that I am compared to him,

But compared to the quality that he delivers, I'm just a bum,

he is a lexicon on feet. After watching each video of him

you gained so much more knowledge,

This is almost the opposite of what I do.

Then EpicLPer commented, probably Epic Lets Player:

Well, I come from Austria, he said. He makes Let's Plays,

But for what I've been looking for, it's not very relevant because he talkes English in his videos.

I am really looking for something Austrian, something with Austrian culture in it

his videos, including Unboxing videos,

clearly target an international market.

My first real YouTuber Loot was JetloneStarr,

who is located near Vienna and he makes gaming videos, best of videos,

Nerdstuff videos, he is also doing unboxings, he is talking about various topics,

he has news, also makes small documentaries. It's quite close to what I'm looking for.

In any case subscribe, below you will find the links.

Through Jetlonestarr I found Viva Alex,

who also makes gaming videos and unboxings and let's plays

My next find was VloXsyst, Games, Movies, Series & Miscellaneous Stuff.

My next find was VloXsyst, Games, Movies, Series & Miscellaneous Stuff.

He also makes quite cool video games Vlogs and Nerdstuff Vlogs

So, also highly recommended.

And my first dialect-YouTuber: Casas Homeland!

I was so glad as I found the channel, because at last someone else speaks dialect.

Just like me. I'm not alone, someone else dare to speak dialect.

And another dialect-YouTuber is NichtEuerYouTuber, who has only made three videos yet

he talks dialect, and I'm looking forward to the next videos, because that must be supported.

And last but not least, Manfred Riegler,

Some may still know him from the Consol.at community times 238 00:16:11.780 --> 00:16:13.820 since he was also a very active member,

I met him also, I believe, one or two times on community events.

Consol.at Community Events. I miss them.

Manfred also makes gaming-related things, so let's plays

and also a lot of cabaret and other Vlogs. Be sure to visit his channel and subscribe!

This was my Austrian subculture YouTuber Loot part 1.

As already said in the beginning, I am still not satisfied with the result,

There must be more. The ones I've found so far are all from the gaming and nerd corner,

I have not found anybody in Austria who does rock, metal and musical vlog stuff.

At least rock music vlog stuff.

The super jackpot would be anyway, if there is someone,

who makes something similar like MetalJesusRocks, who connects Heavy Metal Lifestyle

with video games. Then of course AlphaOmegaSin, who also does the same,

he also makes heavy metal, video games, Nintendo... And of course Ola Englund from Sweden,

he plays video games while he's listening to heavy metal

That's quite cool, I might also steal the format, let's see.

That's it actually,

As I said, I'm still looking for more YouTubers

With subculture preferences from Austria,

Leaving hints in the comments would be pretty cool

and every YouTuber would be happy about subscriptions, which helps everyone the most

Before I forget, There's a public playlist, which is called humaldoTV LIVE Playlist

Which can be found on my channel when you go to playlists,

I have enabled sharing, when you click on this link, you can add your own videos

to this playlist. If you have something cool for the next live episode

please go to this Playlist, click this link and

cool stuff to this playist, which we can then watch together LIVE on Sunday.

If you liked my video, please like it and subscribe to my channel,

like humaldoTV on Facebook and join in next time again!

Have a nice day and see you soon, Ciao!
