alright so today let's talk about
getting a website hosting or just
hosting in general that's when in the
internet marketing community and people
refer to as hosting they mean getting a
hosting account where you have a web
server typically that's a shared web
server with other people and you get
access to that to set up typically a
wordpress site or your own static HTML
website and typically in hosting
accounts you will also get dns that
comes with that sometimes a domain name
so you're domain.com and email as well
with that hosting again you can install
WordPress which is typically what most
people do to create their own websites
or blogs install WordPress and then you
can use different plugins to make those
squeeze pages ecommerce sites any type
of storefront know you can basically do
anything you want with wordpress based
on which team you have what you also can
do with the hosting site is for a you
you're gonna need to have a domain when
you have a hosting site because
otherwise you just get like this weird
URL that nobody would go to like server
88 dots you know whatever your hosting
company name is kind of dot-com r dot
net so you have to buy a domain name as
well typically if your hosting company
or the domain name register will sell
you both hosting and domain names so
places like godaddy namecheap hostgator
bluehost know there's tons of them you
can purchase your own hosting and domain
name from them and you don't have to buy
both from one vendor you can buy your
domain name at one place in your hosting
at another if you want you just have to
set up your dns accordingly with the
hosting account what i use out for is my
blog and I also put my stats tracking on
there so i have different URL so my
hosting account that i can then redirect
and cloak other URL so like a philly
links that are really long and ugly
I can have them as mydomain.com /a
autoresponder something like that very
very easy to for people to remember and
it doesn't look if arias or spammy so
people have more trust in that with your
hosting account obviously you can
install wordpress for free and you can
set up your own blog your own website i
also have that all on one hosting
account all in the shared hosting
account typically shared hosting
accounts are cheaper you can get shared
hosting and private hosting private
hosting means you get your own server or
your own virtual private server which
typically more money but it's typically
quicker faster so if you have a lot of
traffic on your site you want to get
that but for most people starting out I
just use a shared hosting account is
very cheap i also have my email on there
as well so i can create my own email
accounts hook it up to my phone or hook
it up to my computer and get on my email
from there from my domain that I have
set up within their so again check for
hosting there's a ton of different
hosting providers out there
I've tried a number of them my favorite
still today tis namecheap that's also
who i buy domain names from and they've
been really good good up time
really easy-to-use good customer support
again there are a bunch out there that's
just one that I've been naming do you
need a hosting account when you started
off with internet marketing no you do
not
now before ice I guess let me clarify
that if you're going to use a squeeze
page that uses a wordpress plugin our
theme then obviously you need to have a
wordpress site to be able to host that
on so then that's a different story but
there are a lot of hosted squeeze page
providers that you can just you don't
need your own site your own hosting for
that you know like leadpages or
clickfunnels they typically are more per
month but you don't need your own
hosting site so
what I like to see is the two main
things that you need to start with an
online business r1 your autoresponder
into some type of squeeze page again
whether that's hosted like landing page
monkey leadpages or clickfunnels those
two things can get you sales having your
own blog and all that isn't a hundred
percent necessary down the road you'll
probably want that but again it's not a
hundred percent necessary
