Waching daily Jan 2 2017

Hey guys, and welcome to today's video

which is going to be about my 2017

reading goals it is officially the new year

it's after midnight so hopefully

everyone had an amazing new years.

Let's get into my reading goals for the

year, I'm gonna do a separate video

probably from our writing goals the year

i mentioned briefly in one of my Let's Write

uploads. So let's get right into my

reading goals. I actually don't

really have too many goals last year I really

didn't set any goals for myself either

have a little more this year than I did last

year. Last year I really didn't set any goals for

myself except the goodreads goal and I

didn't end up surpassed my goodreads goal

twice, I started 60 books past that 70

and past 80 which I read 81 books in 2016.

And that was really good and while i

read a lot of books and I enjoyed a lot

of books and i'll end up only on dislike

about 15 total books out of all

eighty books, so that's really good number

but one there's nothing going to focus

on this year is I'm not gonna do a

goodreads goal is it as like one book type

of thing like a lot to see a lot of

people doing it because I've found that

my mindset last year was really about

reading books in order to complete the

goal and to get the numbers up there. And

I don't focus on that like 1 of my goals this

year is the reading more quality books

or quantity of books. I found myself

last year reaching for smaller books

because I knew that I can't read them

within a span one week. I went for books that

were about three hundred the average about

328 book, because I knew that I could

read that book within the weeks and I

need to complete my goal and I really don't

want to have that mindset in 2017. I want

to read a book because it sounds

interesting and not because, "hey it has

it sounds okay and has a good amount of

page", that I can finish a week and that mindset

that I had to keep reading a lot of

books I can't talk about the new fresh

books every kind of video type of thing

and this year I don't want to do that I want to

focus on the books that sounds to me

that what size of our that really all

leads into my other reason I was well

but one of our goals this year's read

more classic books. I want to read a lot

Classics

that is the one genre that I very

very much lack in and one of the books is

war and peace I want read war and peace in the year

2017 and that book like 1500 pages so

that's is like my thing to break

down the, the.... I can't this of the right word for

is but to break down the hold I put

myself for big books and to kinda just

focus more on the story sounds

interesting and I want to be the moment

let's read that book whether it's

300 pages, 500 pages, 600 plus

pages i want to read that book. So that

is going to be one of my goal is to have more quality

over quantity and then more classic

books and besides that there's one thing

that and it's not really a reading goal

is more of a personal thing for me and

that is i'm going to try and stop

listening to the hype train that goes on

here booktube and it's going to be a

struggle you're probably see me fall and

failed from very early on the new book

comes out but I've kinda burned a few

times by books back up light but i

really like popular booktubers and while

it's good that the books coming out

there especially the spot like a new

author and stuff like that a lot of hype

get into it I find that a lot of times I

get burned by it because all these other

people say this so amazing so good it's

best book that came out that month whatever

they're saying. I pick

it up and like it's an average book it's

an average YA book that's out whatever book

it is and I find myself getting to the

point where i want to stop doing that

and book sounds interesting sales buy it

off of that i know i'm going to love

i'll pick up course like that but we're

kind of hold myself back two three four

month period after the hype can kind of

past, like wave the train on as it

goes

and just like sit inside lifestyle and

just waiting as it goes but i wanna

kinda just wait and see more opinions on

the book first read more reviews on the

book especially if it's by a new author

that I've ever heard of, or maybe a

new debuting author

or just get a little more time and to

see that way I'm not burned as much by

the hype kind of dies down and dip into

the book and be like ok let me go in

with open mind now that i know that

there is positive things that can be

negative things about this book and just

can't go a lot more neutral mindset and

another thing i would try to pick up

more in this year's kind more critical

reading I've been doing a lot more

critical reading in the last few months

of the year i found myself kind of

finding the books that I really

gravitate towards and kind of the

writing style that really gravitate

towards and I want to come to keep

doing that more cause that's how you can

grow as a reader it can be more critical

not to the point where you don't enjoy

reading anymore which the point where

you just kind of you're more

aware of what you're like in a book and

that's what I'm going to try focusing on

in 2017. So that is all my goal it's

going to be very quick video that's my

goals for 2017. If you want you let me

know down below but some of your goals

are for the new year. If like this video

Beijing olympic stadium capacity - The Bird's nest - Duration: 4:23.

so that's the water Cube at night and this

whole hall is uh...

no sitting or stamping , yes we don't like

stamping

we don't want to post anything do we, god

forbid we post something

In this video: Beijing Bird's nest olympic stadium

we are now entering the bird's nest

Wow this stadium is huge

oh wow

setup for a soccer game at the moment I

guess

how many people?

I don't know

15,000?

more than that!

uncountable. upper levels three levels of seating

you can't imagine how big. Wikipedia says it seats 80,000

we saw the water cube and the bird's nest today

and I've got a splitting headache

starting to get better now that i've got

some paracetamol drugs in me

I blame the the air. Let me swing the camera around

you see the pollution levels

yeah a lot of pollution the air is very thick

with smoke here in Beijing anyway here's

a little something that they sell in

Beijing. Beijing yogurt drink essentially

and you see this for sale

by street vendors and your hotel might

have it and see other places and that's

what it looks like unopened and you stick

a straw through that paper lid and

here's what it looks like when you

finish one and and there's actually not much in there

there it's because it's a heavy thick

ceramic bowl that's it's not like a milk

bottle. It's bigger it's

thicker and heavier and

very heavy so if you borrow one from a

street vendor you can't just run off and

take away because they want the bowl but

he has especially yogurt that you drink

through a straw and tasty little sour though

and you pay 5 chinese dollars

oh yeah one other thing too, got this at

the at the bird's nest

I'm a gold medalist now that's my gold

medal that was 15 dollars paid for

I should have only paid 5 or 10

I'm a gold medalist

Speed Painting - Sherlock / 2016 Summary - Duration: 15:06.

Hi everyone ! I'm Darya Space and since it's the last video of 2016 ( I was recording this on December 30th ) today I'll talk about things that happened to me in 2016, my art progress and plans for the next year

As for the art piece, today I'll be drawing BBC Sherlock, it's my part of an art trade and new season is coming out, so it's the perfect time :)

Materials for today : watercolor, acrylic paint, ink and nib pen, Faber-Castell color pencils and Canson watercolor paper

So in March I bought this Canon G7X camera and it's just great because now you can actually see what I'm drawing and showing to you

If you look at my videos from 2015, the quality was pretty awful and you could barely see anything

I'm still wondering why did people even watch these videos and subscribe to my channel back then :)

But I'm glad that the quality is getting better now, in 2017 I'll do my best to improve the sound as well

So in June I traveled to Kiev and had some time with my friends there , I also visited another OOAK master in Tumen and she taught me how to reroot dolls, so huge thanks to her : )

So after August I've made like 5-6 dolls with new hair and handmade clothes

Now I really like to think about the whole look more, add more details and stuff like that

In September I suddenly moved to Kazan, me and my mum had to move from the place where we lived for a while and we've decided to change the city

since Yekaterinburg is a pretty noisy and dirty town

And at the end of October I had a chance to see Placebo performing live in Saint-Petersburg

I bought the ticket back in June before my 20th birthday, but I wasn't sure if I can make it since the rent price is pretty high

But thanks to my mum , I made it and the concert was nice despite some troubles with crazy audience behaviour

I've also met some of my followers, so it was pretty nice too

And that's basically it

As for my art journey, this year I've participated in 2 monthly challenges

The first one was in February and it was fanart themed, but I made it even more difficult and drew only full colored illustrations

And I made it without any delays, this challenge helped me to create a style for coloring pictures with watercolor

In 2015 I had this problem when I didn't spend enough time on pictures, so I didn't feel like I was working hard at all

All my drawing looked like colored sketches back then and I felt bad about it

Now I spend at least 2-3 hours on each painting and I'm absolutely happy with the results

Besides that, I also fell in love with the regular texture of watercolor paper ( previously I've used canvas textured paper for a long time , but know it's gone for me, regular texture is life )

And the second challenge is Inktober ( it's a challenge where you should use ink every single day for your drawings or paintings in October )

I've finished it in late November because of the trip and my sickness , but I'm happy that I didn't give up and get myself together :)

I've made 4 little series and 1sticker set during Inktober and I feel more confident when I'm working with ink now

I'm a little sad that I can't afford to put it all together and print an art book or something , because I don't have money to pay for the print run

Maybe if I'll have more orders in 2017, I make a zine or booklet with my drawings

I've also discovered nib pens and they are perfect for me , I had bad times with art pens because I couldn't control the line thickness at all

I've also started to use tempera paint this year and it's the perfect media for me , now I use either watercolor or tempera : )

I reraly used my tablet this year, bacause now it takes way more time to paint a full colored illustration, since I pay more attention to details and making sure that everyting looks clean and neat

And I've finished like 3-4 20 pages sketchbooks only because of the same reason, but I don't think that it's a bad thing

Now I'll make a sketchbook review once in 2-3 months, but you can be sure that it will be filled with cool stuff :)

In 2017 I want to see the sea again and celebrate my birthday there , I didn't swim for 5 years or so and it's pretty sad since I'm a big water lover

I also want to finally get a dog, I've been dreaming about it since I was 7 or so, money is the main problem here, since I barely can pay for myself

What else ... I want to print a book, visit other cities or even travel abroad

I really need to get a bigger desk so I could paint something bigger than A4 size

It will be nice if I could also buy a shelf for my dolls and art books as well

I also need to buy a new scanner and laptop, so I could make prints and edit videos faster

And that's it. Write your goals in the comments section , what did you want to do last year and did you make it in 2016 , something like that ;)

I hope you're having a good time, treat yourself, do what you like and relax ^ ^

Bye !
