Pendulum Healing - Duration: 3:28.

{Intro music}

Hi.

This is Nigel from discovering dowsing answering your questions about dowsing.

Pendulum healing.

Dowsing for healing, sometimes thought of as dowsing healing or pendulum healing, is

really the result of confusion and mis-information.

The two do not go together.

At least, not in the way that many seem to think that they do.

As an example, you will sometimes find people asking about pendulum healing or which are

the best healing pendulums.

They sound reasonable things to be asking, but they are really showing that they have

the wrong idea about dowsing.

Let's be very clear about this.

Dowsing is a natural human skill.

Essentially, it's a simple idea.

You ask questions about things your logical and rational mind cannot answer.

And that is pretty much it.

You can use tools or not as you prefer, but there really is nothing more to dowsing than

asking questions and getting answers.

As you can see, there's no room in that description for anything to do with healing

or healing pendulums.

So where did this confusion come from?

It probably came from the popular use of the pendulum as a dowsing tool.

There's nothing special about a pendulum when used for dowsing.

It can be as fancy or as plain as you like.

As long as it works for you, that's fine.

But, no matter what sort of pendulum you use, whether plain wood, or brass or a fancy crystal

or a nut on a piece of dental floss, they all move in the same way; circles or side

to side essentially.

Now, imagine the following scenario.

There are two people.

One is a dowser, and the other is someone who has an issue with her hand; pain perhaps

in one of the fingers.

The dowser is using a pendulum and it's swinging in some fashion over the persons's

finger, presumably to locate the precise area of the problem.

And, at the same time, the dowser is focusing on sending some healing energy to that finger.

Here's where it gets important.

The dowser is not using the pendulum to send healing energy.

The pendulum has absolutely nothing to do with any healing.

She is using the pendulum to locate where the healing energy is to be sent.

She might also have set her intention so that when she has done all she can, the pendulum

will indicate that she should stop.

As an onlooker however, all you see is the pendulum swinging, some healing taking place

and the pendulum stops when it's finished.

It's easy enough to think that the pendulum has something to do with the healing.

But it doesn't!

Therefore there are no healing pendulums.

There are only people who send healing.

You don't need a pendulum or other tool for that.

All you need is your very focused intention to send healing energy as well as you can.

Intention is the key, not dowsing.

Even so-called healing pendulums will do nothing unless you intend an outcome.

Otherwise they would be the wonderful magic bullet that would work on everyone, everywhere

all the time.

It's intention which makes anything work.

So don't think you have to buy anything special.

You don't.

You just have to use your intention.

Happy dowsing!

Expecting a Baby Like Me - Duration: 4:10.

Hello Rightfooted family! Welcome back.

Last year my family welcomed my newborn

niece, the most perfect little bundle of

joy. As I was celebrating becoming an

aunt, an OBGYN reached out to me about

one of her patients. In her email, she

told me about a woman who was six months

pregnant with her first child, a girl.

Only the baby would arrive in the world

just like me, without arms. After

receiving the news about her baby's arms

not developing in utero, her patient Andrea

needed advice, only the doctor wasn't sure

what advice to give. So she went online

and came across my story on Upworthy. She

immediately connected me to Andrea.

Andrea and I spoke for a while over the

phone and while she told me she was glad

to meet me, I could sense her anxiety.

Then she asked me a question I had never

been asked before,

"How do I share the news with my family

and friends?" She worried about her family

not accepting her child with a

disability. She wondered how her daughter

would go through life without arms. She

had a million thoughts racing through

her mind. My parents do not have any

forewarning that I was going to be born

without arms. I asked her if she thought

it was somehow easier receiving the news

beforehand. She said that finding out

early on in her pregnancy gave her and

her fiance time to process the news, go

through denial, morning, and finally

acceptance. Parents of special needs

children have to grapple with the

challenging reality of raising a child

with a disability, a baby that does not

have the 10 fingers 10 toes perfection

they envisioned. And for some, the grief

and disbelief can completely overshadow

the joy of having a new baby. I know from

my own mother, the news that her baby

girl was different was devastating. When

I was born, she isolated herself and asked

God what she could have done that caused

my condition. My dad, on the other hand,

never once shed a tear for my being

different.

After some thought, I told Andrea that

she should deliver the news in a

matter-of-fact way and share the same

joy whether her daughter was born with

or without arms. I told her that I hoped

her family could see past the baby's

condition and embrace the miracle of a

new life being born into the world. I

even offered to help share the news with

her family.

Instead of a gender-reveal it would be

more like a disability-reveal. Her family

could meet me and rest assured that

their granddaughter, nice, cousin, and so

on would some day be a beautiful

independent woman. Not to mention the

fact that we may possibly share the same

birthday, as she's expected to arrive the

first week of February. Andrea's daughter

might just surprise her.

Just wait and see. I'm sure her daughter

will shock her and her fiance by doing

things that two-handed people cannot do.

I could tell Andrea was now smiling when

she recalled a sonogram showing her baby

with her feet up to her face, similar to

how other babies have their hands close

to their face. In utero, her daughter

already knows how to self-soot! She's

demonstrating her ability to adapt even

while still in the womb. There will be

plenty of challenges for Andrea and her

baby girl but it will get easier with

time. By simply reaching out to me,

Andrea is already making huge strides

for her daughter, a very fortunate little

girl. I'm thankful that I met Andrea and

hope that aside from stories like mine,

more support will be made available to

parents like her. I praise all parents

who are fighting the battle everyday

proudly watching their children conquer

the challenges of disability and rejoice

simply in the pleasure of parenthood.

Just as I know that wherever she is, my

own mom continues to be my biggest

cheerleader.

Thank you mom, this one's for you. I have

another challenge for you.

I take my feet for granted just like you

take your hands for granted. So this week,

I'd like to see you put on a pair of

socks without using your hands. Post

some proof down the comments and I'll share

my favorites on my Facebook page. I would

love to hear your feedback, questions, and

episode ideas down below. If you like

this video, don't forget to like,

subscribe, and share it with someone who

could use a little motivation. After all,

if I can fly an airplane without arms,

what is it that you can do

Creating Toys With A Purpose - Duration: 2:28.

- We want to build a company that releases toys

that are educational and entertaining

and we want to do that one really great toy at a time.

(upbeat music)

My name is Filippo Yacob, I've always been a big kid,

I've always liked toys, I've always liked games.

And when I found out that I was gonna be a father,

I thought it would be a good time

to start making toys for a living.

And I wanted to make educational toys.

I think toys have evolved from simple objects

of entertainment into tools for development for children.

Our understanding of how children develop and grow

has changed the way that we look at these tools as well

and I think we're at the point where new kinds of toys

that are truly educational and entertaining

can start being made because of technologies

and I just wanted to be at the forefront of that.

My first toy is called the Cubetto play set,

it's the most crowdfunded educational technology

invention in Kickstarter history.

It has won a Red Dog design award, best of best,

a Cannes Lion Gold for product design,

it's toured the MoMA in New York City and MIT

and it's a tangible programming interface for children.

It's a wooden robot that merges Logo Turtle-inspired

programming with Montessori-based hands-on learning,

so it's a wooden robot that children can program

using blocks instead of a screen or text.

I think I'm fairly self-motivated,

I really really wanna make great products and great toys.

But I think what kind of gave me the inspiration

and changed my attitude towards work and design

and life in general was having my own children.

I have a three-year-old son who was actually born

on the day that this company was launched.

We would like to see a Cubetto play set

in each of the 2.4 million or so early-learning centers

and libraries and primary schools around the world.

And then new products, we have new products in the pipeline,

new services, and expanding the range of products

and services that we can offer to our community

with the same dedication that we had building this one

and sticking to our principles.
