Exercising Your Voice - Duration: 3:58.

hey guys I'm Katie Talbot with Singing Success and I want to talk to you about

vocal exercising every day I have a few students who are so developed they're so

passionate and they work really hard when it comes to their voice and because of

that they're growing very quickly in their voice but I have had a

few lately that have even said yeah I've worked out two to three hours a day

my voice is getting a little tired I wonder why you're working out two to

three hours a day it's too much so I want to talk to you about that kind

of that right time that golden time to work out your voice and I did write a

blog about this but i wanted to touch on this again because it's been coming up a

lot lately

so if you've not read the blog then this is answering your questions and you can

go to the blog if you would like for further information but

treat your voice as if you're training for a marathon or it's just the same as

you would work out your body at the gym

you don't work out two to three hours a day

I mean if you do great but your body gets exhausted that you don't really

make a difference with anything it's the same for the voice and think

about it with marathon runners they don't run 26 miles every single day to

train for a marathon

they run six they run eight they run 12 they run four they run 13 they run

so they may ease their body into it but it's the same for the voice and treat it

like a work week

during the week you work five days a week you get two days off

whether that's two simultaneously off or whether it's like a sunday and wednesday

that's up to you to choose and then when it comes to singing when it comes to

exercising at home we do 50 minute lessons here we warm your voice up we

get your balanced in

chest voice head voice get your voice free in the mix and then we apply

it to a song

sometimes we focus fully on technique but we don't spend more than 45 50

minutes doing so the same thing for you at home and if your voice is warming up

quickly that day if you feel very balanced within 20 minutes which is

absolutely possible then let your voice rest reward it that muscle memory is

going to kick in anyways and be like oh i coordinated here now I can rest

think about it like a dog when a dog obeys do you reward it the same thing

for the voice do not overwork your voice because it will get worn out and you

want that stamina for your voice when it comes to touring doing shows recording

but you can't keep doing full days that won't build the stamina

you got to ease into it warm it up let it rest warm it up let it rest and it's

just as important to warm down as well so if you're doing a band practice

let's say on a thursday night before you sing friday saturday and sunday do a

quick little warmup

get your voice balanced let it be go into a nice easy practice feel good feel

confident and good just good about the performance and the songs and then

do a small warm down and I'll go into into warm down

in another video and we'll talk about that so if you have any questions of if

you're overworking if if you've lost your voice from overworking because

that's a lot of work on your voice

How to Lose Weight With Water (step by step) - Duration: 3:23.

Try a short detox diet focused on drinking water infused with vegetables

and fruit.

Purchase some vegetables and fruits to infuse in your

waters such as cucumbers, melons, strawberries, mint leaves and other

herbs, different citrus fruits, apples, and pineapple.

Consider buying glasses with lids such as mason jars or tumblers with attached

straws.

You can make individual waters all at once and store them in your fridge.

The vegetables and fruits should be as fresh as possible, as should the water.

If the fruits and vegetables begin to age, throw them away and restock.

Decide how long you will do the detox diet Doing a diet such as this for too long will

have negative effects, in that your body is not getting all the nutrients

it normally does such as fiber and protein.

It is best to do it for a week or less.

If you find yourself overly fatigued or dizzy, stop

this diet and go back to normal eating habits.

Your overall health is more important than quick weight loss.

Drink Water Drink at least the recommended amount of 64

ounces of water a day.

Do not drink it all in one sitting, but instead have one cup of water at

a time over the course of 9-10 water breaks.

This is to replenish the water you lose throughout the day.

Drink more water if you can; 64 ounces is the minimum.

It might be best to do this over a period of time away from work and

other obligations so you can focus on drinking as much water that is as

fresh as possible.

If you cannot do this, try the diet over a weekend

when you are spending a lot of time at home.

There will be a lot of bathroom breaks during this time.

Stay near a restroom so you will not have to go hunting for one when

the

need strikes.
