Hello, this is HolySpellswordFrank!
But you can just call me Frank :)
Right now, I'm just showing you
proof that I'm starting this particular
copy of the game for the first time.
Behold :D
There was a part between the
preloader and this screen
when I was AFK,
and it was four minutes long,
so I had to cut it out in my video editor.
I spent the most time fixing my
sound and music settings, as you can see,
and then I gave a slight glance at everything else.
Note: My Christmas present was the actual
two physical game CDs, yippee! :D
Back then, it was all about me playing
trials of FATE from the Wildtangent app.
Looks like we're done. Let's start.
I've only ever won the game
on Page mode, so I'll up it slowly every game.
I'm going to choose a human
and make it a girl because I like girls :)
I'm sticking with the long ponytail and the
default face.
I called my character Emily.
Spike is the team mascot.
Go Spike!
Sorry for being quiet that time.
I didn't want to interrupt your story reading.
For this version, I do the usual:
Always Run and Show All Items.
We start with a shortstaff, three health potions,
a fireball spell, an identify scroll,
and a town portal scroll.
Just wanted to showcase the Temple of Fate for you.
In this version of Traitor Soul, you have access
to the first three games.
Didn't know why I did that.
I chose the original FATE
because it's the easiest place for new characters.
The Undiscovered Realms dungeons have
monsters much stronger than in Grove.
Anyways, sorry about the flickering
FPS counter on the top left
and possibly choppy movement.
I realized that it was the lack of VSync
causing the problem, but I already
recorded three videos like this already.
If I turn it on, then the later videos would
lag a bit, but I think the trade-off will be worth it.
During the beginning, I want to choose only
quests on the first level before my current one
for the simple fact that I want to
maximize my gains.
First, you get more powerful quicker.
And second, there's less chance of dying.
Nowadays, I almost never buy a fishing pole,
but maybe I'll do so if I play on Legend difficulty.
Also, starting with my entry into
the Temple of Fate I cut out the loading screens
to hopefully keep the video from getting boring.
Here, I usually start with stamina potions
and regular health potions.
That way, I can survive and keep running
while in the dungeon.
Alright, we're ready to adventure down!
One of my quests generated a shrine
which was too powerful for me,
so I eventually had to run away.
But I did destroy it in the end, using lots of fireballs.
I think the gameplay here would do all of the
explaining now, so I'll stop the captions here.
And Happy New Year! :)
