No Knitting Video this Week! - Duration: 0:51.

Hi, Staci here.

I haven't missed a weekly knitting video in almost seven years, but I'm missing this week,

and I wanted to release this short video to explain why.

It's due to a medical issue - I'm fine, I'm going to be fine, I'm under a doctor's care.

I've been through this before.

I have a chronic condition called iritis.

And sometimes my body's immune system attacks the irises of my eyes, which is a totally

stupid thing to do.

And it takes me a few weeks to get over it, and while it's happening, I'm photosensitive,

and my head hurts, and I can't see very well.

So I knew there was no way I could sit under the studio lights this week.

But i have stuff coming up, new videos coming up that I'm really excited about, and if everything

continues to improve as it is improving, we will have a new video next week.

That's it.

Thanks for watching.

Internal Medicine Profile Video – Dr. Alfakara | Crossing Healthcare | Jones and Thomas-Decatur, IL - Duration: 3:25.

I'm originally from Syria from a city

called Homs which, I believe, is very

famous right now. Everyone knows the city.

I lived there during my childhood, my

high school, then I moved to Damascus.

This is where I studied medicine, and I

was there until I moved to the States. So

I moved first to Rochester. I was doing

research in Mayo Clinic for about 6-8

months then I went to Chicago. I had my

residency training there for three years,

and I started practicing here in Decatur.

My father is a surgeon, and since I was

six or seven years old, I used to always

to beg him to take me with him to the

clinic, and I used even to go with him in

the OR. I was staying outside and just

watched him through the glass and do his

operation. Since I was a child and

everyone used to call me Dr. Dima

so it just is something that I grow into

since I was like child. Yes, I always know

that I'm going to be a doctor. When I

was in school, I really liked the biology. I

like everything that has to do with the

human body, how it works, things make

sense. You get to know things that you

take for granted. When you are in

Internal Medicine, this gives you the

opportunity to just continue to learn

throughout your career about everything

that's happening in your body. Also

working in Internal Medicine makes you

in direct contact with all the issues

that the patients go through and gives

you the opportunity to give them a hand

and help.

I would like them to know I know that

there is a lot of frustrations with

their patients that they don't feel that

the doctors are connected to them. I

want when they leave the room to know

that I do feel what they're going

through. I want them to know that I do

understand their suffering, and I want

them to know that I really care about

them. It's not just a profession that are

making money out of. I want them to know

that they can come to me with problems

so this is my what I hope for when

they're leaving the room to leave that

impression in them. When the patient says

thank you when I feel that they're

satisfied when I know that I am making a

change. It's a frustration for us as

physicians because sometimes we know

that there are things that we cannot

change, like we can go around it...try

to make the patient feel better.

When I see that I am making a change in

their life and making their life better,

this is a very rewarding moment for me.

I'm a painter, used to have exhibits when

i was younger. I do oil painting, water

painting, but not as much. I used to play

music when I was younger. I used to play

the piano. I like to read novels. I like

South American literature. I

keep up with this South American

literature a lot.

3D Mammography-Technology Marketing Video | Lincoln Surgical | Jones and Thomas-Decatur, IL - Duration: 2:18.

3D Mammography, also known as tomo

synthesis, is a relatively new technology

that is being adopted in our area and in

many locations. Basically, it allows the

breast to be visualized in an almost a 3D

platform where layers of breast tissue

are analyzed layer upon layer upon layer

rather than just a single x-ray taken in

one plane that basically overlaps all

the tissue. Where overlapped tissue can

mask something the 3D imaging allows the

radiologist to evaluate the breast layer

upon layer with the little flip of the

finger on a roller ball that allows the

plane to be visualized up and down back

and forth and so on in different images

and little areas that would not have

been detected by just a single image of

all those layers can be detected. And the

advantage of that has clearly been shown

that many more things can be identified

than were before, and there's a higher

rate of those small things being cancer

that would not have been seen with the

standard mammogram. That the other part

of this it's also exciting is it in many

instances what was found to possibly be

an abnormality on a 2D image is found to

really be normal tissue on a 3D imaging,

so the other advantage of that is that

it decreases the number of times the

woman would have to be called back for

additional imaging because we know based

on that original imaging that an

abnormality thought previously made it

may be to have been abnormal really is a

normal finding so it decreases the

number of callbacks as well as it

decreases the number of biopsies that

need to be performed. But then it does

find some things that would normally might

not have been found that when biopsied

can be cancer. So the cancer detection

rate goes up, the callback rate goes down,

and so it accomplishes exactly what

we would hope it did on both fronts.

I've got a VR 10 Hay Rake. I had a John

Deere before, and there's no comparison. I

mean the Rhinos just by far better,

heavier built. It does a better job. It

goes the windrow better. There's

no comparison. Probably the weight of it.

The way it flexes and you're going on heels and

then it throws everything to the center

and this the weight of it and then

like it's a 10 wheel rakes. If

your windows are not that big, you can

pin two wheels up and use it as an 8-bar

rake. It's just heavy build. I mean like I

said I just constructed well and just

like we're going to fill the field I can

put it on my pickup around 55 60 mile an

hour down the road that's even better. We

probably got 120 acres of hay. We do four

times a year so and now do some custom

raking on the side and things like that

and like say it's a speed rate so I mean

you can go as fast as you want is cut my

time at my work time it's cut it in half

when I went to this rake. I mean it's a

money saver. I think it saves on fuel and

time and labor. Just gives me time to do

other things that need to be done.

I mow patures. We've got some pond

levies and areas around the lake that are tough to mow.

A lot of role banks, stuff

like that. Pretty heavy stuff. Some of the

pastures is probably a full four foot

tall when we get across it and that is

pretty rough, ranked, thick material.

Everything is pretty heavy duty on them.

The gear boxes are heavy, and like I said, I've

never had any trouble with the stuff I

would think we could cause trouble on a

normal one as far as stripping

shafts or breaking gears or anything.

Everything seems to be pretty well built.

And I've got the heavy-duty driveline

and have, you know, hardly any trouble

with them even when we get into rough

patches and stuff it seems to hold up

pretty well. Yeah, it's been fairly

trouble-free. It's very little difficulty

as far as changing oil and keeping

keeping them maintained, greased and

lubricated, and everything seems to

work pretty good on it. It's in a really

good mower. I would definitely recommend

it to anybody as far as I mean it's

a heavy-duty version, so it's

made to take a lot of the punishment yet

it'll handle pretty much anything.

It's been a wonderful piece of equipment.

You know, the only thing I've ever had to do

to it is just the general maintenance...

sharpen the blades, change the oil, never had a

problem with the gearbox leaking or

anything like that so the maintenance costs

have been pretty much nill. I use that

in my commercial cutting business. I

usually use it for about two to three

hundred acres a year,

and it's been a great product for

this time period. I love it. I could

never part with it. One of the things I

like about the cutter is it pulls really good

when you're using it to cut, and it also

when you're driving down the road to

your next job, it feels very good there.

Also, it's been a very good durable

product. The metal is really good. The

blades I've never had to change them. I

sharpened them every year. You know,

doing it commercially, they'd cut up a

little bit more so I just sharpen them a

couple times during to summer but I've

never had to replace them. I think it's

an excellent product. You know, the

quality is there, the craftmanship is

there. The PTO shaft is very easy to

slide on and off my tractor. You know,

seven years later still has no cracks in

it or anything. It held up really good

over the years. You know, I've never had

to replace the seal or anything other

than change the fluids, so I've had to

the gearbox is the most important thing

and the feature I like the best about it.

So like I said, I've never really had to do a

whole lot of repairs, just basically

maintenance. Easy to change the oil too.

Easy to add the fluids, it's easy to check

the fluids, to sharpen the blades. The tail

wheel is easy to change. It's easy to

change, it's easy to oil and grease when you need to. Do that a

couple times year because it's commercial

side of the business

but it's very easy to grease, absolutely not time consuming

factors which is great. I'm probably

going to upgrade to the Flex Wing model

where my commercial set of business work

you know since they cut somebody acres. I

think it'd be more beneficial.

Therapy Services Video | Memorial Ortho-Neuro Center-Belleville, IL | Jones and Thomas-Decatur, IL - Duration: 3:40.

Rehabilitation services consist of

physical therapy, occupational therapy,

and speech therapy. We also have hand and

shoulders therapy, which a is a special

clinic on our third floor, and they

specialize truly in the upper extremity

the shoulder, the elbow, the wrist, and

hand joint. Our Speech and Audiology

Department provides evaluation, treatment

of speech and language disorders,

cognitive disorders, and swallowing disorders.

Our audiology area provides full

evaluation of heading as well. We

see patients with neuromuscular

disorders and see patients that have had

strokes, head injury, and so, we basically

work to improve their communication

skills as much as possible. We have

state-of-the-art technology for

evaluation and treatment of swallowing

disorders as well. I got lined up with

Diana to do some speech therapy and

through her strategies and techniques

that she has taught me within six months

of practicing those strategies I noticed

my voice quality was a lot better, back to

normal almost what was like before. In

rehab services with having physical

therapy, occupational therapy, and speech

therapy, we offer a lot of technology for

physical therapy and occupational

therapy. We have Bioness, which is used

primarily on patients with stroke or

other types of brain injuries. We also

have aquatic therapy. We have a pool, an

inground pool in our building, which is

used for patients with chronic pain,

post-operative joint replacements. Our

biggest concern was being able to find a

facility that could provide all three

services.

A lot of times OT and PT coordinate so a

lot of their things together so that

they're working on kind of the same thing.

We'll use some strengthening and some

endurance and with the fine motor

planning and that type thing. Sometimes they

co-treat with speech and OT so that

they're reinforcing the speech skills

during the occupational setting as

well. So they've been great as just kind

of combining everything and looking at

the overall picture. They were phenomenal

when we transitioned into kindergarten

of working their magic of getting it

scheduled so that we could do everything

at one time not have to miss multiple

days of school in that type thing so

they've done a great job with that. The

great thing about the Orthopedic and

Neurosciences Center is the physicians

are located here, therapy services is

located here, radiology services and pain

management, so patients can come to the

Center and receive all of those services

or whatever they're needing and we're

able to coordinate the care. The doctors

and the therapists are able to

communicate easily, and we're able

to schedule for the patients in a manner

in which they're not making multiple

trips to the Center.

Video #10 – Inflation | TRS Financial Awareness Video Series - Duration: 2:08.

Meet Ricardo.

Ricardo is a high school Spanish teacher.

He's been a TRS member for 25 years.

One Saturday, Ricardo takes his grandson to

an amusement park.

At the concession stand, Ricardo is shocked

by the prices.

"Five dollars for a corn dog?!" he says.

"When I was a kid, I could buy a corn dog,

ice cream, popcorn AND cotton candy for five

dollars.

Sheesh!"

Ricardo is experiencing what we all know as

inflation.

As the inflation rate rises, the purchasing

power of your money will fall.

This means as time goes by, you'll need more money

to buy the same goods and services.

While your TRS pension may cover your expenses

when you first retire, it will not automatically

be adjusted to compensate for inflation.

It is likely that you'll need

to be able to outpace inflation with your

personal savings.

Because it is difficult to forecast what the future

rate of inflation will be, it is difficult to foresee

whether you're saving enough for retirement.

However, you can make predictions on future

inflation rates based on past rates.

Use a realistic estimate of long-term inflation

rates over the course of your expected retirement

to hammer out your savings goal.

There are a variety of online resources

available to help you do this, including

the resources accompanying this video.

It may also be helpful to

consult a financial advisor.

Don't let inflation leave you hanging without enough

retirement income to cover your expenses.

Create a financial plan that

will keep your momentum going all the way through

your golden years.

Well, it's a wide range of injuries that

can occur to people whether they're

injuring on the football field or

basketball court, but you can have the

same sort of injuries in people that are

just shoveling snow or falling from a

ladder or painting their house so it's a

wide range of injuries that can occur,

but with the sports medicine component

of our practice we enjoy taking care of

athletes that are hoping they get back

to some of those extracurricular

activities they're really passionate

about. And some of our athletes we take

care of the Mckendree University and

Lindenwood University Belleville college

athletic teams as well as we have five

different high schools in the Metro East

area that Memorial Medical Group and

Memorial Hospital help take care. Oh, well,

I am here because I pull my meniscus at

a football game. The fourth game in

season against Robert Morris I tore my

meniscus in two spots...the back of

the meniscus the root came out the bone

and when it came out it actually

split also so that's I actually need

OT. What he did was he kept in contact

with our trainer, Bill, and after the

surgery he had he would Bill, let him know

what process I'm at because I was in a

brace. So the brace was locked at one

point. It took six weeks to stay locked and

after the six weeks, he informed Bill

that he can unlock it. So basically, he

took Bill through the process of what to do

at each stage of my recovery and did a

great job because I feel good after

three months. Yeah I'll feel really good.

We actually have sports medicine

conferences intermittently where we go

over case reviews, and so we really

have a multidisciplinary approach to

taking care of people that have

orthopedic injuries and and sports

medicine ailments. So I think that's one

of the things that

really built and it's been nice to have

that sort of collaboration with a lot of

different people that are coming from

different perspectives. Not only do we

see from the operative side, but the

physical therapists here are very much in

tune to helping rehabilitate those

people after their surgery, and that's

another component that's really I think

been very helpful, and we work together

great as a team.

Sean Hannity Is Furious, What He Just Leaked About What Obama Did To Him Will Shock You

(Video)

Independent journalist Mike Cernovich had a telephone conference on air with GotNews

author, Chuck Johnson.

You can watch that underneath.

– according to Liberty Writers News

THIS IS HUGE: According to Chuck Johnson, Sean Hannity and Erik Prince were kept an

eye on by Obama.

This is enormous.

Obama was the spy lord.

The liberal media won't let it out however Obama kept an eye on EVERYONE!

Frickin' Everyone.

Sean Hannity has to know this.

Get this out there!

This just turned out directly after liberal media brought up that Erik Prince had a mystery

meeting in Seychelles.

Here is the thing that Sean Hannity said in regards to the Susan Rice issue:

BREAKING Susan Rice Just Broke Her Silence To Send SICK Message To Trump Directly – Backfires

BIG Time

It has been quite the revealing week, hasn't it?

The country learned that former national security adviser Susan Rice was involved in spying

on Trump's transition team.

Of course, the mainstream media is doing its best to cover this up, but we know the truth.

Rice was absolutely involved in this and needs to be held accountable for her treasonous

act.

However, instead of admitting her fault, Rice continues with her arrogant behavior and sends

this sick message to President Trump.

Today on MSNBC Susan Rice attempted to make her case to Andrea Mitchell that she did nothing

wrong.

"The allegation is that somehow, Obama administration officials utilized intelligence for political

purposes,"

"The allegation is that somehow, Obama administration officials utilized intelligence for political

purposes," Rice said.

"That's absolutely false."

"The notion, which some people are trying to suggest, that by asking for the identity

of the American person is the same is leaking it — that's completely false," Rice

added.

"There is no equivalence between so-called unmasking and leaking."

"I leaked nothing to nobody," she said.

EXCLUSIVE: Susan Rice says the claim that intelligence was used for political purposes

is "absolutely false" Watch: https://t.co/JdbgCtSgEN

— MSNBC (@MSNBC) April 4, 2017

Well, while Rice may think this is helping her case it has backfired on her as usual.

Trump is well aware of what this traitor has done, and she is not going to get out of it

this time.

Yesterday Sen. Rand Paul said that Susan Rice should testify before Congress on her request

to unmask the names of Trump transition officials.

And, I agree with him 100%.

These people need to answer for their crimes and the American people deserve justice.

Rice may think that she will get away with this, but we the American people must demand

that does not happen.

What do you think about this?

Will Rice get away with this crime or will Trump's team put her behind bars?

H/T [ Western Journalism ] Ivanka Had No Clue Who Was Living Right Next Door To Her Until

She Woke Up To An Insane Surprise

Despite the "rule" liberals state that the president's children are "off limits,"

they constantly prove that's not the case for Donald Trump's kids and grandkids, and

take the abuse ten steps further, proving their "intolerance."

Ivanka Trump has become one of the left's "enemy" targets, not just for being the

president's oldest daughter, but being beautiful and a successful working mom as well.

However, she didn't expect the hate to show up at her Washington, D.C. home when it did,

along with another unexpected surprise.

When the First Daughter decided to move her family from New York to Washington, D.C.,

so she and her husband, Jared Kushner, could pursue their careers in politics, they thought

they had picked the perfect neighborhood to settle in.

Just a few months into their new home, they learned they weren't as safe as they thought.

It was in this moment of horror that they also found out that they had some unexpected

security.

A swarm of LGBTQ protesters surrounded Ivanka's home on Sunday, breaching her privacy to get

their misguided point across about "climate justice."

The crowd was causing a disturbance that wasn't appreciated by her respectable neighbors — especially

the 82-year-old man next door.

"Invent something — do something!" the man yells at Ashley Rae Goldenberg of MRCTV,

who wasn't there to protest with the rest but was present to observe the debacle, Opposing

Views reports.

"I'm not with them, I'm not with them," Goldenberg responds.

"Then get out of here!" the rightfully irate man said.

The frustrated neighbor then issues a warning to those who don't feel like they have to

listen to him, that if they don't leave, he won't hesitate to hit their faces.

While liberals will take this as an inappropriate response, the fact is that these assertive

a**holes only understand the same language that they communicate with.

Bravo to this bold

Bravo to this bold neighbor who didn't back down to liberalism and the obnoxious mouthpieces

for the cause who feel it's their right to invade people's property.

It's time everyone in America stands up against these idiots who have gotten away

with their bully tactics for too long.

ALERT!

Rush Limbaugh Drops NUKE On Obama, He Is Done [Video]

Rush Limbaugh: "The Obama administration declared a very secret war on President Donald

Trump using America's intelligence services as his weapon."

"This is a conspiracy of epic proportions."

Yes, it is Rush.

What's more, the media is quiet.

Rush said, "But the real scandal here – and it's becoming increasingly clear – is

that the Obama administration weaponized politically our intelligence services against the Republicans

and against Trump.

I, for one, am not surprised.

"

He added, "We know that the Obama Regime surveilled Trump's transition team.

We know now that the Obama White House unmasked people who were not targets of legitimate

surveillance and investigation.

We know now that the Obama White House illegal leaked protected information.

"

What's more, keep in mind, new data uncovers that the correspondents who broke the Flynn

Russia story had the data on Susan Rice the entire time and they declined to report it

since they would not like to hurt Obama and vindicate Trump.

At the end of the day, they are liable as well.

Limbaugh said, "The Drive-By Media reported all of this.

We know that there had to be unmasking.

We know that there had to be leaking.

The media proudly told us that sources who could not be identified […] fed them data.

We know now that the media was complicit.

"

He continued, "The Obama administration chose surveillance targets knowing that they

would be talking to specific Americans, wanting to see what those specific Americans were

talking about.

So while they could not get a FISA warrant to target Americans, they purposely targeted

for surveillance foreign actors that they knew Trump transition people would be talking

to and learned what they were saying that way.

And that's why Rice was requesting that these people be unmasked so that she and Obama

and whoever else in this operation would understand who was being talked about and who was saying

what.

"

"… we now know that Trump has been surveilled for a year.

We now know that the Obama administration was responsible for the unmasking.

We now know that it was Susan Rice, who lied on five Sunday shows about Benghazi, we know

that it was Susan Rice who requested the unmasking of all of these Trump officials.

"

"This story is not Trump and the Russians.

I'm sorry to be so repetitive.

The story is the surveillance that the Obama administration was engaging in of Trump and

who knows who else.

Now, you say, 'Rush, this is awfully hard to believe.'

No, it is not.

This is my point about liberals and who they are.

They weaponized the IRS against conservatives, did not they?

They most certainly did, "he said.

How about we do not overlook this is an example that the left continues rehashing.

"If Flynn had indeed promised anything about lifting sanctions once Trump was inaugurated,

they (would) have reported that by now.

It is clear that Flynn did not do anything actionable because all they've been able

to do is leak supposition and create mystery about it.

But they've known all along that nothing happened!

They've known all along that Flynn did not do anything illegal in his conversation with

the Russian ambassador.

So the leaks have been intended to create suspicion rather than allay it.

Obama Official Susan Rice Gets Caught In A HUGE Scandal, President Trump Was Right (Details)

The mainstream media chuckled at President Trump when he suggested that Obama wiretapped

him amid the campaign.

In any case, another sensation report from Bloomberg.com uncovers that Susan Rice was

keeping an eye on his campaign.

She initially denied the allegations."Nothing of the sort occurred, and we have heard that

confirmed by the director of the FBI, who also pointed out that no president, no White

House, can order the surveillance of another American citizen," she told PBS in a meeting.

Be that as it may, the Bloomberg story negates this.

"White House lawyers last month learned that the former national security adviser

Susan Rice requested the identities of US persons in raw intelligence reports on dozens

of occasions that connect to the Donald Trump transition and campaign, according to US officials

familiar with the matter," wrote the article.

The article clarifies how Cohen-Watnick found Rice's endeavors to 'unmask U.S. persons

in intelligence reports related to Trump transition activities'.

"The intelligence reports were summaries of monitored conversations – primarily between

foreign officials discussing the Trump transition, but also in some cases direct contact between

members of the Trump team and monitored foreign officials.

One U.S. official familiar with the reports said they contained valuable political information

on the Trump transition such as whom the Trump team was meeting, the views of Trump associates

on foreign policy matters and plans for the incoming administration, "said the article.

Orthopedics Video | Memorial Ortho-Neuro Center - Belleville, IL | Jones and Thomas - Decatur, IL - Duration: 4:57.

I am a general orthopedic surgeon, so I

take care of most general kinds of

common things especially knee, ankle,

shoulder problems. We take care of

arthritis hip and knee arthritis, so

obviously, every patient, every problem is

a little bit different and unique to the

specific patient. And I definitely have a

try to have a very conservative approach

to taking care of patients. So first

option for a lot of patients is to try

physical therapy or to try injections.

Typically patients will get x-rays to

evaluate how things are going. If some

patients do end up needing surgery of

their joints, but that's always the last

resort after you've tried...there's other

things well. I think one of the newer

techniques in orthopedic surgery

especially for joint replacements as

we're doing things more specialized or

patient-specific, we use computerized

navigation during knee replacement

surgery that really allows us to line up

a knee replacement according to the

patient. It maps the patient's hip, their

knees or ankles so when I put a knee

replacement and it centers it

specifically for that patient. My leg

just got worse and worse he said well

you know he said we've given you shots,

but I think the only thing, and you

consider this, now is an operation of

total knee replacement. And I said, "I'm

just going to go with what Dr. Baumer

says." And he put me at ease and so we

went through the first operation and it

was great

My process actually started when I came

in the next day after the game. My knee was

really swollen, and it heard it really

bad so when Dr. Hughes came, he gave me

all these examinations, but like when he

told me to get up and walk, I would do it

easily, and he was confused. But he told

me to come to the Center to get an MRI and get a

scan on my knee to see what happened.

When he showed me the pictures, I didn't

think it was that bad and it was pretty bad. It

was an injury that you don't see very

often because they came out the root of

the bone. After that he said I'm going to need

surgery, and he really focused on

after football, like when I get

older, and that we really touching to me

because he's looking out for my best

interest later on in life. So he gave

me the option of repairing it or just

carving it out because we hear meniscus

tear usually they just carve it out and

call it a day, put you back on the field

two weeks later. Well he gave me the

option. He said, "We'll try to repair it,

and if not I'll just has to like carve

it off. So when we went into surgery, he

actually repaired it, but he didn't know

the chances of me actually in able to

repair it. Well, I've been together with Dr.

Simmons for a good long while, and Dr.

Morton for a few years, and

so they do some things that a little

different. They do some hip replacements

that are a little bit better for younger

people and then they have some different

techniques with computer-aided

navigation or customs specific things that

are helpful certainly. And I've

occasionally had a patient that that's

the best thing for them so I've sent

them to see Dr. Morton or Dr. Simmons

because of their special

interest is more appropriate for that

patient.

From my perspective, it's nice just because

all your colleagues that you deal

with on a regular basis are held

in the same building. So we can certainly

work with the sports medicine guys. Not

all hip pain ends up being orthopedic.

It can be neurosurgical, it could

be just pain management, and so we can

have a multi, not only a multi-modal

approach to treating it, but

multi-specialty approach at trying to

take care of the patients needs all

under one roof. So kind of like one-stop

shopping. The center itself is great too.

The nurses, the anesthesiologist,

all of them, they were great. They were

nice, very generous. If someone asked me

about Dr. Hughes, I would definitely

recommend Dr. Hughes. When I thank them

so many times at the last game, he was like,

"Anyone can do this...any surgeon."

I look at him like, "Yeah, probably, but not

the way you did it, but a simple fact you

don't see my injury too often at all.

So I would definitely recommend anybody...

I'm from St. Louis, and I'd recommend anyone to go

to Dr. Hughes.
