Hi, this is my Project 0, Gold Points Video.

Featuring explosions :)

Boom.

In order to implement the functionality of colliding objects resulting in explosions,

I edited the BodyExtreme class to include a non-static boolean variable called "alive," and had the constructors set its default value to "true."

I then created a non-static method to check for whether bodies had collided with each other.

When within a certain distance from each other, bodies collide...

And explode.

Upon colliding, the body's original image is replaced by a jpg of an explosion.

I then change its instance variable "alive" to "false."

Once exploded, the body no longer moves, and its position is no longer updated.

I added a conditional to check whether each body is alive before updating its position.

However, despite not moving anymore, the exploded body still affects the orbits of the other bodies around it.

As per the original simulation.

I also set a slight time delay upon execution to make sure that bodies don't instantly explode upon the program's startup.

Overall, this was a fun way to get creative with the project, and I hope future projects will enable this sort of creativity as well.
