With the help of HARA,
BTPN Syariah was able to extend microfinance to
700 farmers from 10 remote villages.
Liswati: Well, if I have to compare it with cooperations or other banks, HARA is certainly better.
Rodhi: HARA's presence is tremendously helpful for smallholder farmers.
By doing these activities, HARA has supported & fulfilled the needs of smallholder farmers.
Sukayat: Thank God, my wish is to help farmers gain working capital.

An estimate of 55% of people in the remote areas
of Indonesia regularly borrow money.
Unfortunately, access to financial institutions is limited in these areas.
Herman: In the process of microfinancing, especially to farmers,
BTPN Syariah met obstacles in form of lack of access to data and information.
Only 6% apply for loans for production purposes
to fulfill their needs in the planting period, while they wait until it is time to harvest and sell their crops.
The high interest rates charged by the middlemen
make daily life increasingly difficult for the farmers,
especially if they have to provide for their family.
Rodhi: The farmers' ability (to support themselves) maybe is not adequate.
HARA's presence here and with the addition of MoU helps us to facilitate togetherness
on thinking about people's welfare in years to come; and how we can bring it to perfection. That's what I've been looking for.
HARA makes it possible to extend financial services to rural areas, by making the invisible, visible to the banks.
With BTPN Syariah,
HARA has successfully helped to disburse microfinance
to almost 700 farmers from 10 villages, in Bojonegoro, Central Java, at the end of November 2018.
Ramdani: HARA also have a separate team in Bojonegoro
that is responsible for providing accompaniment
for the field agents there,
while also monitoring the process that sometimes isn't perfect.
They will provide guidance for the field agents, until
the field agents become capable of handling the job accordingly.
