How to Start Your Own Company in Your 20s (Animated Video) - Duration: 9:17.

How To Start Your Own Company In Your 20s

If you ask me "when is the best time to start a company?"

I will tell you "at your 20s" because that's the best period of our lives.

At your 20s, you have the strength and the mind to do tough things.

Hardly does anyone get judged for risking it all in his 20s.

Except you are making excuses, nothing is stopping you from starting your own company

in your 20s In this video, we'll be sharing with you;

How to start your own company in your 20s.

If you're new here, consider subscribing so that you won't miss other interesting

videos like this.

Believe You Can Do it.

Believe me, most great entrepreneurs are ordinary people like you.

The only difference is that they believe they could do it.

Henry Ford said, "If you think you can, you can".

To start a company in your 20s, you must believe that you can do it.

Stop thinking about your poor background or what you don't have.

Focus on your enormous capacity as human being and dream big.

If you think you can build your own company, you can.

2.Think it through We all get jumpy with excitement at the thought

of doing anything we want to do to get money.

Being answerable to yourself, and making decisions that will affect you by yourself are motivations

to delve into a business you have always imagined yourself to run.

In order to be successful while you're still at it, first, think that business idea through.

Ask yourself questions like: Am I interested in pursuing this idea to the

end?

What is about it that interests me?

Am I mirroring someone else's aspiration?

Does this idea offer unique solutions to a problem, or is it another duplicate of an

already existing product or service?

Do not make the innocent error of permitting some other person to do the thinking for you.

Remember, you are the one preparing to venture into risks.

Do your own thinking by yourself.

However, don't over think stuff.

Don't be a victim of analyses paralyses.

Make plans but don't wait till you get all the answer.

Study and learn as much as you can You're going to stand on both feet as a

business owner.

Fine.

You're expected to equip yourself with the right knowledge for running a successful business.

Read books in your area of interest, study materials on entrepreneurship, business management,

accounting, and investments.

Learn people's skills including communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

Study the dynamics of business as it concerns your locality.

Take courses online.

Ask questions that will open your mind to more knowledge acquisition.

Never delude yourself with the thought that once your business kicks off, you will learn

accounting, sales, marketing, and customer service on the job.

As much as you are opportune to come across, digest information and add them to your store

of abilities.

By doing so, you eliminate the stress that accompanies naivety in keeping a business

strongly founded, a common happening in many new establishments.

Don't expect it to be easy.

Forget the movies and the stories of get-rich-quick.

Life is tough so is business.

Don't ever expect this to be a job or something so smooth or easy.

Be prepared to multitask in your business at the beginning.

Be willing to make mistakes and fail.

Be willing to sacrifice several months or a few years.

Start anyhow You might be tempted to wait until you feel

ready, before kick-starting your outlined business plan.

There's no better time for anything worthwhile than NOW.

If you have an idea of what you want, have thought it through, and have studied the basics

while learning important skills of running a business, it is best to start off, no matter

how little you do start.

It is interesting to know that there are many businesses that required little or no money

to start up.

So, you better abandon the fear of not having ALL it takes to launch a business; the SOME

you've got are more than enough to set you up for success.

You can't keep learning and waiting till you feel ready without practising on the real

thing.

If time waited for anybody, there would be no need to persuade you to act now.

Understand the internet and other technologies.

Internet is no longer a fad or trend.

It has become a major part of our life and industry.

If you want to run any company in this era, you must understand how internet and other

technologies work and how you can use them for the good of your company.

This is not hard.

Just don't be lazy.

Google and learn about how to promote your businesses in different social media platforms.

Learn how YouTube, Google and all these giant internet empires work to help companies.

Hang around really smart people.

The best advice you can ever get is to hang around people who are forward thinking and

positive minded.

Entrepreneurship isn't easy.

Don't be tempted to hang around teenagers and 20-something because it's fun.

Hang around people who will challenge, inspire and teach you important stuffs.

Through this, you can come up with better ideas on how to promote and grow your business.

Make integrity your watchword Trust is the blood of business.

As time goes on, you'll need investors, customers and employees.

All these people must trust you or you go nowhere.

Whether you are into producing writing pens or offering mowing services, ensure you create

a brand that people will come to trust.

A lot of businesses have crumbled for their owners' lack of integrity.

Either they consistently disappointed their clients in the quality of goods and services

they offered, or they underestimated the power of the word of mouth in business.

It may not be quite easy to do, however, make it a point of duty to have a set of working

principles that you should adhere to, and which everyone who is involved in your business

should know in details.

If you don't run home services, spell it out from the onset, and do not include it

in your business card, pending when you'll start offering the services in four years'

time.

Whatever promises made to your business patrons should be fulfilled.

Never take integrity for granted.

It has cost many businesses lots of loyal customers.

Don't believe the lack of capital can stop you

Most people think it's money they need to start a business but that's not true.

Napoleon Hill said, "Capital is everywhere for those who know how to use it".

You'll be amazed by how much you can achieve if you're open minded, even if you don't

have any money.

Don't be caged by the dogmas.

If you truly want to start your own business, you'll figure out how to do it, even if

you have no money.

Start Stupid Maybe this is a repetition of the previous

point but it's a good reminder.

The best way to start anything is to start it.

Don't be deceived into thinking that tomorrow may be a better time.

So many adults who are poor today dreamed of starting their own empires when they were

in their 20s.

Unfortunately, they procrastinated all their lives.

If you can't start stupid, you can't start.

Be it as it may, the 20s are full of risks, victories, and failures.

While a greater percentage of youngsters in this age bracket are having fun partying every

weekend, for the lesser percentage, it is a decisive period in their lives when they

push toward liberation from the stereotypical way of earning money.

Regardless of the success or failure encountered, they have left a mark on the sands of time

as entrepreneurs.

You too, can be one of those who do great things in their 20s.

Go ahead and win the world!

Tommy Final Video - Duration: 2:50.

My name is Tommy and I am a Computer Science Major here at UNC Charlotte, and I'm in my

Junior year.

I started going to the Career Center in April because I was looking for an internship and

so I started setting up appointments to develop my Resume.

She kind of showed me the ropes and taught me a lot about networking and professionalism.

I thought it was interesting because one of the things that really stuck out to me was

that I was looking for an internship so late, like in April, I'm pretty sure the recruiting

season already at a close by then, basically what I had to do was to develop my resume,

so I can actually start getting interviews.

Fall semester of 2018, we started going back up, going over my LinkedIn tips or actually

how to tailor your resume to a specific position.

She kind of taught me the one size does not fit all rule for resumes, and also, the importance

of using keywords, and how to elaborate past experiences in order to come up more authentic.

Absolutely, you know, at some point I started getting better at it.

I was able to write my own cover letters, develop my own resumes, and even help out

other people that have to constantly go back and forth to the Career Center, making appointments.

So, I filled out the application, I'm pretty sure it was a week or two later, I got in

contacted for an interview, it was just a phone screening.

So, we did that, I think two weeks ago on Thursday, and you know, asking me all these

questions, I was trying to use the STAR method in order to answer things properly.

Driving home on the highway, I get this random call.

He told me like congratulations, we want to extend you an offer.

So, you know, I am glad I accepted their offer.

I've been networking with a few people working the same department as me, the Capital Markets

Technology Analysis Program, and there is a lot of big data involved, so hopefully,

I can look forward to working with a different program, and understanding like data science

machine learning, and what not.

So, I'm looking forward to it because Wells Fargo is a pretty generous company.

The Career Center is a very warm, friendly environment.

You kind of come in there not to remind you of your mistakes, your negatives, but kind

of turn those into positives and strengths really.

They do a pretty good job telling you like what a recruiter is looking for, what managers

are looking for, so whatever mistakes you make, you are making them now.

You don't have to make them when you are actually out there, like at a career fair, at a networking

event, or something like that.

Paramount Education Partnership - Sponsorship Video - Duration: 3:33.

(cheerful uplifting music)

- My husband and I have been donating to PEP program

ever since we first opened our coffee shop.

- The PEP program is a wonderful scholarship program

that helps local kids from the Paramount unified school

district get to college and help their finical needs.

- My greatest investment I think is in spearheading

a March Madness among all our schools.

And as a results of that the last two years we've collected

over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships

for our students.

- The kids that would be receiving it

and have received it in the past are definitely the kids

that need that extra amount of scholarship,

just to make things a little bit easier for them

to pay for school.

- It's really a community based program.

With every segment of the community investing

and participating in its success.

- We're unique that we have a school district

that works great with the city and the city council.

It's a grassroots program it comes from the bottom up

through the community, it's accepted by families, parents,

the kids, and gets to the council and the school board.

- I want our kids to have every opportunity

and every support that they can to be able to make

their college dreams a reality.

- The opportunities that this scholarship has afforded me

is to attend this beautiful campus.

To have the college experience, meeting new professors,

meeting new people, creating bonding relationships

with my peers, and just getting a better education.

- The opportunities that the scholarship has afforded me

is being able to pay my necessities such as,

the school materials and books.

So the scholarship was able to give me the opportunity

to be able to be prepared in my classes.

- When I got the scholarship I had no words.

It motivated me to be in college even more

cause knowing I have support from my Paramount community,

from my teachers, the staff there, the council members,

and all the ones in charge of the PEP scholarship.

- This year we hit the one million dollar mark,

which means that we've given a million dollars in

scholarships to Paramount high school

graduates and or residents.

They thanks us for that opportunity to get them started

and they've accomplished what they wanted to do

in their life.

- It's a very important worth while contribution

that you make to the community,

and that you're really shaping the future leaders

of the city of Paramount.

- For the donors I don't think they are enough words,

to say thank you.

The pay off for seeing it with our kids,

we're seeing it with our city.

And our kids are succeeding

and you know thank you for those donations.

- I'm very grateful and I'm very thankful for everything

that you guys have done to make this scholarship available,

and happen for us incoming freshman.

- To those of you who have already donated

or considering donating I really wanna thank you.

It really makes a difference.

- A special message I have to the donors is

thank you so much for being able to help us out,

and contributing to an amazing organization of

leading us to success.

I know we are the next generation

and personally I won't disappoint you guys,

and soon maybe I can become a donor as well.

- [Narrator] Benefits of donating to the

Paramount Education Partnership include publicity in

the Pulse Beat Newspaper, City website,

The Around Town Newsletter,

and City social media platforms.

and to see a list of current PEP donors,
