Reacting to T.I.'s Controversial Melania Trump Video - Duration: 16:34.

so the rapper TI he's got an album coming out and he's trying to drum up

all this controversy because that's the way you sell rap albums drama

entertainment so this guy goes some TI goes on twitter and he tweets a promo

where's this post so he tweets a promo for his upcoming album and his tweet

says dear 45 i aint Kanye yeah and he's got a little one-minute promotional

video and we're gonna check it out now this promotional video features a

Melania Trump look-alike right on stripping okay and Ti is president yeah

and T of course nice TI is chief of staff or something I love it ci 2020

really don't it's all blurred out so but yeah that

gets pretty hot heavy yeah that's the that's the that's the whole thing well

no that's not the whole thing that's just all you need to see everything else

is kind of kind of filler that just gives you context for what he's trying

to do so that's a little promo I guess for an album he's got coming up and man

did the internet get mad of course of course they got first they did he is

depicting the first lady stripping yeah stripping um it all feels I mean it

feels like he's trying to promote an album it feels like he's taking notes

from Kanye yeah but like taking it in the other direction uh yeah he is yes I

agree with the dumb song move on I here's here's my take all right I think

it's funny I want to watch the video I think I would like the song I think it's

fun if Billy Ray Cyrus made a video with

Michelle Obama stripping in the White House that would piss me off but this

doesn't this doesn't piss me off I don't know why maybe cuz you don't you don't

like milania's I think maybe I think I I think it just depends on how much you

like the person how much you like the first lady or whatever I I tend to to

lean left I tend to not like what Trump does I tend to be a fan of Obama more

but yeah it would if that was a Michelle Obama that would piss me off

well it's definitely a free speech issue to me and I want these guys to have free

speech yeah I also think this is very tacky okay to depict you know the

president's wife as a as a stripper yeah but at the same time like I have heard

about not seen but heard about porn parodies of like Hillary Clinton and

stuff and Sarah Palin and I think that stuff's kind of funny yeah yeah I think

the thing is so I'm a hypocrite if it was Hillary Clinton I don't think that

would bother me I think maybe it's just Michelle Obama because of the person

that she was and how classy I felt like she was maybe that was why and she just

happens to be the the most previous first lady but yeah if it was like

Barbara Bush I would that wouldn't make me mad at all or funny maybe or like

Eleanor Roosevelt um yeah I think I don't know come on man

she's a mom she was a sex symbol that was her deal

she did softcore right did we figure that I I don't know if we ever did it

we're topless photos can we find that can you look I'm sure that's already

bookmarked on your computer Zach can you uh can you look into that and see what

Milania did yeah and then wash your hands but she was a model in a sex

symbol and that's part of the reason why she's married to Donald Trump who's a

massively rich power guy you know so it's not that it's not like this is new

territory for her personality it is now that she's the first lady but outside of

that not really yeah so okay to me it's it's a luster tip of a bigger issue to

me now people are gonna make fun of First Lady's maybe she's the most

bullied person in the world on the world on the world I don't think she is but

like let's humor her and say yeah she's way up there

she's definitely a target I get it this is sexualizing her in a way that

mainstream entertainment doesn't typically sexualize first ladies i iose

I always count porn is not mainstream fair enough

here's my issue with it so we live in outraged culture right now and everyone

gets offended by everything what our entire show is about is what does

everyone affect what is the Internet offended by this week and let's talk

about it and see it has its merits the left is probably it's definitely worse

at getting offended over stuff than the right is although both sides definitely

get offended over certain things yeah the left is much more precious than the

right I would say right so the left attacks Hollywood they attacked the news

they attack entertainment they attack the right they definitely have to choose

they attacker Trump yeah like everything but what the

left won't do and what I haven't seen them do is they haven't attacked hip hop

hip hop for at for for the sexist genre of music the the misogynist yawn room

usik that it is now I'm not saying every rapper I'm not saying every you know

that's not every rappers like this not every hip-hop song is like this but in

general as a whole hip-hop as a genre has very misogynistic

tones and you can hear it when you listen to the the the rap music the rap

music needs when you listen to the radio you listen to the serious and all this

stuff you you hear the same thing over and over again bitches and hoes it's

like such a tired stereotype and you still hear it and I never hear the left

really go after them well they did it was just years ago the whole tipper gore

thing and the adult adversary' the whole the whole reason there's those adults

like adult content stickers on CDs and member CDs on stuff that was because of

tipper gore and I think a lot of Democrats back in the day when like NWA

first came out I think it just happened a long time ago and it's just blown over

to the point where it's just been accepted so massively that there's no

it's like a battle you can't win but there was certainly sensory in the 90s

when it first started coming out sure but why doesn't the hypersensitivity of

2018 apply to hip-hop like why didn't the left come after TI and go hey this

is really this is really misogynist you're completely sexualizing the first

lady and i I have a theory on why hip-hop specifically gets away with it

I'll give you another example is a genre of music that is dominated by minorities

and it's minorities are being empowered right now right not that's my thing or

not under the microscope as much I think men in general are getting some blowback

but it's mostly not mostly but there's a large focus on straight white men right

now right so you know but but like Mac Miller said all kinds of weird stuff and

post Malone says all kind of weird stuff so maybe to your point but like well

like Eminem dropped the f-bomb the other day yeah and and he had to apologize for

it versus when he did it in 1990s or whatever there was no it was fingers up

to everybody well hip-hop is still considered I mean

even though there are tons of white rappers and all that and rappers of

other persuasions hip-hop is still considered sort of a black culture thing

sure right and I feel like the left has trouble attacking it because they see it

as you know an authentic iteration of you

know what is black culture and they don't I mean it's such an easy target

think about it so this year you know what's his name Kendrick Lamar who I'm a

huge fan of won a Grammy for a song and an album that had the word bitches and

hoes all in it and I actually I really liked that album but I listened to it

and I and I'm so used to it in hip-hop that it doesn't even really bother me

anymore I'm completely desensitized to it but I listen to it and I go I hear

the left attack all of these institutions they're all over Hollywood

now you know the Oscars so white and you don't cast enough women and women get

paid less than men but here is this incredibly easy target for you to look

at and go why must you refer to women by these by these very outdated

you know derogatory names all the time yeah and and why do you refer to them in

certain ways in certain situations in your songs and in your videos we have a

problem with this it's such an easy thing to say it's it's shooting fish in

a barrel well I think it's correct - my point is they already tried that and it

just that title it was like a battle they couldn't win it was just too many

people like the music it's too overly overarching Lee accepted and I think

with a lot of artists like Kendrick Kendrick I consider to be a very sort of

heady musician oh yes lyrics are very intelligent he's very progressive and so

my when I hear him use those words a lot of the times it's as a reflection of the

culture that he's writing about mm-hmm so he's not it's I mean he's using those

words but in a different manner he's he's not saying hey this is my bitch

right here if he's doing that he's talking about in the in the voice of

somebody else or through the point of view of somebody else or something like

that yeah and that's a little different for me I think with at least with

Kendrick but yeah you hear it all the time in this trap stuff where it's just

like hoes and bitches and suck my dick and that's that yeah I think it just you

got to pick your battles I think yeah I think you know III think I hate to use

the word white guilt but that's the word I keep projecting on to this this left

outrage culture that just will not go after

pop in any meaningful way I'm kind of glad I get really annoyed when the left

goes after all kinds of stuff I'm kind of annoyed I would be annoyed if they

went after hip-hop because I love it so much but I'm also I also look at it as

kind of a little bit of hypocrisy well I think it's like maybe they are going

after hip-hop but so many of so many people overall are just like shut up

that it just gets drowned out and it never bubbles its way to the surface

you know what I mean because all these all these catastrophes on social media

that happen are usually the result of one small thing that just gets lit on

fire and shared and shared and shared and shared so I think it's an overall

population reaction because those are the people that are sharing things and

those are the people that are driving the popularity and the outrage culture

so when someone says something about hip-hop about the the the terminology of

the language most people just like oh shut up turn it up I want to hear my

song well apply it apply it to another industry cuz that's fun so so imagine

you know the the famed motivational speaker Tony Robbins you know he's he's

given one of those seminars in those stadiums and he's got that weird voice

and any was weird teeth he gets on there and he says something like so if you buy

my book if you if you purchase this book and you and you do the lessons and you

get through step one all the way through step ten you are gonna make more income

you're gonna have a stronger relationship with your family you're

gonna have a better business and you're gonna have so many horse just an

abundance I have a question everybody's horse mr. Anthony Rattlers pouring out

your pockets falling out of your car doors we really just horse spilling out

of windows and crevices everywhere just an abundance and abundance of horse yes

sorry you had a question yeah I have a question mister I think Robbins you said

I'll have horse spilling out of my doors I have a two-door sedan which might be a

oxymoron but I have a two-door car should I get a four-door car so I'll

have more whores out of my doors preferably an SUV so you can have them

coming out of the hatch got it we call that a slut box it's up in the back just

and just so many whores thank you so much thank you and I really appreciate

this $6,800 seminar got a lot of value out of it flew all the way in from Salt

Lake City it was a bargain yes so if Tony Robbins did that yeah he

would get so much pushback from everyone like wait a minute what is all what is

all this language your well I mean all the other stuff is good and I I

understand you're selling a product and you're trying to tell your your story

this is your truth but like what's with all this putting women down same thing

man like eat and you can you applied to a different industry too if Billy Ray

Cyrus made a video where Michelle Obama was doing the two-step and then on a

stripper pole we would go freaking what name Milania

are sorry if Michelle Obama were on a stripper pole

yeah I'm left yeah the left would eat him alive go crazy think of Kid Rock did

that to Camilla Harris yeah like the the the left would go insane

yeah I mean how do you try to herd cats right you try to make sense of these

people they don't you're right Spence I'm trying to add nuance to Internet

outrage and Internet outrage doesn't add China rashly so so the Internet is

outraged over this but is it only like you know the what are they saying about

it what's the headline about it it's disrespectful yeah well so Milania

pushed back right her her camp put out a statement and said that it was

disgusting and distasteful and all these things and now it gets better the

actress the stripper in the video is now getting death threats I wrote some of

those down they were great they were like I'm gonna hit you with my car um

you deserved to you deserve to be well you got to know that when you sign up

actually assaulted you had a knuckle I'm gonna take a baseball bat to you all

kinds of stuff that she was reading off I do not envy that I don't I don't

approve of that I don't think it's right when you sign up for that video you have

to know what you're signing up for that's not like you're asking for it I'm

not saying you're asking for that but that is what's going to happen it's

definitely yeah that's that is a weird thing I feel like she maybe could have

guessed that maybe not mad that's just actresses you know our

people we're dumb that's just we're like ooh

protip world if you do anything political that has some satire to it on

a large scale with any name celebrity you're going to get hate and by hate

sometimes that's like awful terrible scary messages so do it but that's it

what that will be there's a cause and is it cause and effect and that will happen

I mean I'm sure Donald Glover got death threats all up and down for the this is

America video or I think it was that was the name of it

this is America yeah you're gonna get that you're gonna get that I think it is

a little bit of a bitch move to take a shot at the president's wife you know

sucks but she has done nude modeling made my lines mostly in Europe okay

but like art me but nude nude modeling art firm like Playboy centerfold kind of

stuck us okay yes all right so well thank you now clear your browser history

and thank you wash your hands young exactly gonna go

blind so I don't actually don't have a verdict on this one because on one hand

I do want TI to have freedom of speech you know to say what he needs to say I

don't know exactly what he's trying to say by making the president's wife a

stripper but he's trying to say something or he's trying to sell albums

but on the other hand yeah I think this is tacky and I think like what next

slope that we're on next you got the president's kids yeah

depicted as working you know in a sweatshop making iPhones what kind of

statement are we making here I was under the impression we live in a society we

do Ray but we're in a society of fools a society of fools and they're gonna

who's gonna do what fools gonna do man I think I want to watch that video now

that's 100% I will watch it and also Billy Ray Cyrus you should make a video

oh God Billy Ray I don't know I was an only country singer I could think of at

all Billy Ray Cyrus is there duncan dude chat pants i don't know anybody's name

Danka do trap pants don't good dude trap pants that's a singer right

yeah I yeah he has that that great album I hit my dog with your mama I hit my dog

with your mom ah and then I went home dan/erin bear 20

million albums yeah in Texas North Texas yeah

Usability Testing w. 5 Users: Design Process (video 1 of 3) - Duration: 3:37.

When doing usability testing, I recommend testing with a very small number of test participants.

Typically five.

Because when you're testing with the very first test user, for sure, everything you

see will be brand new and interesting.

And that's why we do user testing in the first place: to see how our customers actually use our design.

But when you test with the second person a lot of what you see is going to be the same

as you already saw with the first person.

Now, of course, people are different and different people do very different things.

There's also going to be a lot new you see with test user #2.

But when you test person #3, well, some of what that person does is going to be the same as person #1.

Some of what user #3 does is going to be the same as user #2.

And some things you are now seeing for the third time.

When you test user #4, there's going to be even more overlap with what you already saw

and even less new, but still an okay amount of new information.

For user #5, relatively little new information, a lot more overlap.

By now, it's getting to be pretty boring to sit through this testing.

Testing with more than five users is typically pretty wasted, because you're not going to

learn very much more from those subsequent users.

You're much better off stopping your tests there, taking all the information you've learned,

and using that to improve the user interface design: make a new version, a new iteration,

and then test that with another group of five users.

Take that information, improve the design again.

Test a third iteration with five more users, and keep going like that as long as you have a budget.

So, if you have a budget for, let's say, 20 users for a certain design project.

The best comes from splitting those 20 people up into four tests of four different design

iterations, each tested with five users, rather than spending all of your 20 test users on

testing one design iteration really well, really thoroughly.

Yes, you're going to get a little bit more, but not much more.

And you're going to get much more improvement of a design, which is after all, the reason

that we do user testing in the first place.

You're going to get much more improvement by driving up that quality of the user experience

through four test iterations, each tested with five people.

Now, there are some types of research where you want to test with more users; like quantitative

usability studies, where the goal is to derive metrics.

There, to get good statistical significance, you need a much larger n, a much larger sample size.

But here, the goal is a better number, not better insight.

You don't get better insight with more users, just a better number.

Also, methods like card sorting or certain types of eyetracking require a larger number of users.

But for most standard, normal types of usability testing, where the goal is to drive up design quality:

less is more.

Less users in each round of testing means you can do more rounds of testing, more design

iterations within your budget.

That means more final improvement, more total improvement, and therefore, more profitability

of that resulting user experience.

Computer Science Group Advising Video - Fall 2018 - Duration: 10:53.

Welcome to the Computer Science Group

Advising for Fall 2018.

After this session, we hope you will

understand and know how to use Student

Success Tools, you will understand how to

read your curriculum sheet, and you will

know how to plan courses for future

terms. The conversion guide is a great

tool which allows you to look up quarter

classes to find their semester

equivalent. On this website, click the

"Access the Conversion Guide" button. Select

"Subject Area" and enter the catalog

number. Then click "Search". In this example

we will be searching for CS 365.

As you can see this is a "many to one" course

meaning CS 210 and CS 365 were combined

to create the new CS 3650 course.

If you take CS 3650, you should receive credit

for CS 210 and CS 365 if you are on the

quarter curriculum. If you are a

semester student, you will receive credit

for CS 3650. If you are interested, you

can always use the conversion guide to

discover the quarter equivalent of a

semester class. The GE tool is helpful if

you are looking for a general education

course to take to fulfill a general

education requirement. This tool can be

used by both quarter and semester

students. For this example, we will look

at "C2b" in semesters or C3 in quarters. Click

on "C2b"

and scroll down to the green

arrow. Once you click the green arrow, you

will find a side-by-side view of the

quarter course and the new semester course.

The catalog is a useful tool that

contains university-wide policies and

information. However, for this example, we

will be using it to find course

prerequisites. We will look up the

prerequisite for MAT 2250.

The Degree Progress Report or DPR is a

live version of your curriculum sheet

which shows what you have completed with

a green checkmark, what's in progress

with a yellow diamond, and what you are

missing with a red box.

We do realize for some of you, the DPR

may not be accurately displaying what

you have completed as of this Fall

Semester. We will address this issue later.

Bronco Direct Course Search allows you

to search the schedule of classes.

Always be sure to select the correct term. For

this example, we will search for CS 1400.

Using the conversion guide, GE tool,

catalog, DPR, and Bronco Direct Course Search

you should be able to plan the

remainder of your degree requirements

and have a projected graduation date.

It is important that you understand what

curriculum year you are following and how to

read the requirements. This is a 2016

to 2017 curriculum sheet.

Students who remain on a quarter

curriculum will continue to follow a

quarter curriculum sheet such as this one.

The total number of units required to

complete the degree are 180 quarter units

which converts to 120 semester units.

Next we have your Required Core Courses.

You are required to complete all of these

courses listed in this box for a total

of 62 quarter units. Core courses cannot

double count for any other requirement.

Next you have Elective Core Courses. For this

particular curriculum year a total of

23 quarter units are required.

The boxes are split because you can only

take four units or one class from this

list of classes. However, you can complete

all 23 units from the "At least 20 units

from" section of electives. Core

Electives cannot double count for any

other requirement. The support courses

require that you can bring all 43 units.

You will notice that this area has many

courses where the parentheses at the end listing a GE area. This means the

particular course can double count to satisfy your support and GE requirement.

For instance, BIO 110 and BIO 111 Lab will satisfy this support requirement

and GE Area B2 and B3. Please be advised that CS 375 can only satisfy either GE B5

or GE D4 but not both. The last column is General Education. This area requires

a total of 68 units. The American Institutions requirement is fulfilled

when you complete GE area D1a and D1b. The American Cultural Perspectives can

be fulfilled upon completion of HST 202 which is GE D1a. In order to

receive your degree, all unit and degree requirements must be met. This is a

2018-2019 curriculum sheet. This is the curriculum sheet that students who are

on a semester curriculum will refer to. The minimum units required for this

degree are 120 semester units. You will notice that this curriculum sheet does not

have any support requirements. The columns are divided to show major core

courses including electives and general education requirements. The first section

is your Required Major Core Courses. All courses in this area must be completed

for a total of 65 semester units. On a semester curriculum, core and general

education requirements can double count. For instance, if you refer to BIO 1110 and the lab

in the major core area, you will notice there is a parentheses with B2 and B3

This means that this course will satisfy both the major core and

general education requirement. Next part of the curriculum sheet are the elective

core requirements. This box continues onto the second column. A total of 19 units

are required for this section. The Core Elective area is very specific. You will

notice that for the first part, you can only take three units or one class from

the "No more than three units section". The next section is where you can take at

least 12 units or 4 classes from. The final section only allows you to take

one course or four units from this area. the last column is General Education. The

semester curriculum requires 48 semester units to fulfill general education.

You will notice the general education pattern looks a little different as

compared to the quarter pattern. Please make sure to review the General

Education Tool we demonstrated earlier if you have any questions or concerns.

Again, the American Institutions requirement is fulfilled upon the

completion of GE area D1 and D2 while the American Cultural Perspectives

requirement is fulfilled upon completion of GE area D1. In order to receive your

degree, all unit and degree requirements must be met. Unit conversion is an

important part of the conversion to understand. If you are a quarter student

anytime you take a semester course, you must multiply those units by 1.5. As an

example three semester units is equal to 4.5 quarter units. If you are

a quarter student interested in switching to semesters, you will have to

divide all your quarter units by 1.5.

As an example, a 4 quarter unit course is equal to 2.67 semester units.

The total units required for a degree completion for quarter students is 180

quarter units or 120 semester units. The total units required for a semester

student is 120 semester units. For our students on the quarter curriculum, many

of your DPR's are showing this error that you are missing one unit in your GE's.

The reason why your semester units have not been converted back to quarter units.

Once you have successfully passed this course this missing unit should be

fulfilled. Your units for CS Core Electives are calculating correctly.

The unit line directly above the courses you have taken on displaying the correct

quarter units. Please view this line for the appropriate unit count. This example

is for a student on the quarter curriculum. They are taking two 3

unit semester electives, which means it will receive a total of 9 quarter units.

For those of you on the quarter curriculum, some of your fall semester

courses may be falling into unused. We are currently working with the

Registrar's Office to fix this issue. As you can see these units have not been

converted to quarter units either. Staying on quarters or switching to

semesters. You will want to stay on quarters if you have completed CS 2400

or CS 240 and CS 241 with a C or better, or if you plan on graduating by Fall 2020.

You will accrue more units by staying on quarters. If you plan on graduating

Spring 2021 or beyond, you may want to switch to semesters.

if you switch to semesters, you will lose units, petitions will fall out and

your DPR will turn red and need to be fixed.

We are highly encouraging students to not switch to the semester curriculum.

Do I need to take CS 301 and CS 256? It depends on the curriculum year. Look at your DPR or

curriculum sheet. What if I took a course that is not counting on the

curriculum I was admitted under? We will petition it to count as an elective. This

applies to CS 2990 or CS 4650. How many units should I be taking a semester?

15 units per semester, 5 classes. 2 core courses, 2 electives, and 1 GE.

How do I know when I will graduate? Use the Conversion Guide, GE Tool, Curriculum, DPR

Bronco Direct Search to help you determine your graduation. Keep checking

your CPP email for updates about DPR issues, switching to semester curriculum

and other updates. View the Student Success website for more resources to

help you with registration. October 17th to the 18th is priority

KHP Group Advising Video Fall 2018 - Duration: 11:31.

welcome to the kinesiology group advising for fall 2018 after the session

we hope you will understand and know how to use Student Success tools you will

understand how to read your curriculum sheet and you will know how to plan

courses for future terms the conversion guide is a great tool which allows you

to look up quarter classes to find their semester equivalent on this website

click the access the conversion guide button select subject area and enter a

catalog number then click search in this example we'll be searching for kin 3030

and kin 3030 left as you can see this is a many to one course meaning kin 303

and 303 lab and kin 403 and 403 lab were combined to create the semester kin

3030 and 3030 lab course upon completion of kin 3030 and 3030 lab

you will receive credit for kin 303 and 303 lab and kin 403 and 403 lab if you

are on the quarter curriculum the GE tool is helpful if you are looking for a

general education course to take to fulfill a general education requirement

this tool can be used by both quarter and semester students for this example

we will look at C2b in semesters or C3 in quarters click on C2b and scroll

down to the green arrow once you click the green arrow you will find a

side-by-side view of the quarter course and the new semester course the catalog

is a useful tool that contains university-wide policies and information

however for this example we'll be using it to find course prerequisites we'll

look up the prerequisite for kin 3620 and

KIN 3620a

the degree progress report or DPR is a live version of your curriculum sheet

which shows what you have completed with a green checkmark what is in progress

with a yellow diamond and what you are missing with a red box we do realize for

some of you your DPR may not be accurately displaying what you have

completed as of this fall semester we will address this issue later the Bronco

direct course search allows you to search the schedule of classes always be

sure to select the correct term for example we'll search for kin 2020 the

KHP tools will be passed out in just a few minutes using the conversion guide GE

tool catalog DPR Bronco direct course search and KHP resources you should

be able to plan the remainder of your degree requirements and have a projected

graduation date this is a 2016-2017 curriculum sheet

students who remain on a quarter curriculum will continue to follow a

quarter curriculum sheet such as this one this specific example is for

kinesiology with an option in exercise science the total number of units

required to complete the degree are 180 quarter units which converts to 120

semester units next we have your required core courses. You are required to

complete all of these courses listed in this box for a total of twenty quarter

units core courses cannot double count for any other requirement next you have

required sub plan/option courses you are acquired to complete all these

courses listed in this box for a total of 55 quarter units next you have

required support courses you are required to complete all these courses

listed in this box for a total of seventeen quarter units you will notice

that this area has many courses with the parentheses at the end listing a GE area

this means that the particular course can double count satisfy your support

and GE requirement for instance kin 301 will satisfy the support requirement and

GE area B5 next you have elective support

courses you are required to take any variation of these courses to total 36

units some of these courses can also double count as GE and elective support

courses the last column is general education this area requires a total of

68 minutes the American institutions requirement is fulfilled when you

complete GE area D1a and D1b the American cultural perspectives can be

fulfilled upon completion of history 202 or GED 1a in order to receive your

degree all units and requirements must be met this is a 2018-2019 curriculum

cheese this is the curriculum sheet that students who are on a semester

curriculum will refer to this specific example is for general kinesiology there

are no longer options for exercise science or health promotion however you

can tailor your curriculum to take specific courses that follow the

previous quarter options the minimum units required for this degree are 120

semester units you will notice that this curriculum sheet does not have any

support requirements the columns are divided to show major core courses

including sub plan / option courses and general education requirements the first

section is your required core courses all courses in this area must be

completed for a total of 39 semester units on a semester curriculum core and

general education requirements can double count for instance if you refer

to bio 1150 and bio 1150 lab in the required core area you will notice that

there is parentheses with b2 and b3 this means that this course will satisfy both

the required core and general education requirements

next part of the curriculum sheet is the required sub plan / option core you are

required to complete all of these courses listed in this box for a total

of ten semester units next you will see a box labeled unrestricted electives

because some courses may double count as GE and core you may not meet the 120

required unit count therefore you will be required to take excess elective

units in any area to fulfill the required unit amount next you have sub

plan / option electives you are required to take any variation of these courses

to total 28 units some of these courses can also double count as GE and elective

support courses the last column is general education the semester

curriculum requires 48 semester units to fulfill general education you will

notice the general education pattern looks a little different as compared to

the quarter pattern please make sure to review the general education tool we

demonstrated earlier if you have any questions or concerns again the American

institutions requirement is fulfilled upon the completion of GE area D1 and D2

while the American cultural perspectives requirement is fulfilled

upon completion of GE area D1 in order to receive your degree all units and

degree requirements must be met unit conversion is an important part of

conversion to understand if you are a quarter student any time you take a

semester course you must multiply those units by 1.5 as an example 3 semester

units is equal to 4.5 quarter units if you are a quarter student interested in

switching to semesters you will have to divide all your quarter units by 1.5 as

an example a four quarter unit course is equal to 2.67 semester

units the total units required for degree completion for a quarter student

is 180 quarter units or 120 semester units the total units required

for a semester student is 120 semester units for our students on the quarter

curriculum many of your DPRs are showing this error that you are missing one unit

in your GEs the reason why is because your semester units have not been

converted back to quarter units once you have successfully passed this course

this missing unit should be fulfilled your units for KHP support electives

are calculating correctly the unit line directly above the courses you have

taken are displaying the correct quarter units please view this line for the

appropriate unit count this example is for a student on the quarter curriculum

they are taking one 3 unit semester elective which means they will receive

a total of 4.5 quarter units since they have already taken one other elective

and quarters if we add these two units that will total 8.5 units they will have

27.5 units of elective support for those of you on a

quarter curriculum some of your fall semester courses may be falling into

unused we are currently working with the Registrar's Office to fix this issue as

you can see these units have not been converted to quarter units either as a

reminder when you take kin 3030 and 3030 lab it will fulfill kin 303 and 303

lab and kin 403 and 403 lab this is the KHP course replacement list there are

some KHP courses that will not continue on in semesters and therefore this list

will need to be referenced you will receive a hard copy of this sheet as

well we will leave this list up for a few seconds so you can review it

stay on quarters or switch to semesters? you'll want to stay on

quarters if you have taken one or more courses in KHP or if you plan on

graduating by fall 2020 you will accrue more units by staying on quarters if you

have not taken any core KHP courses you should switch to semesters if you plan

on graduating spring 2021 or beyond you may want to switch to semesters if you

switch to semesters who will lose units petitions will fall out and your DPR

will turn red and need to be fixed we are highly encouraging students to not

switch to the semester curriculum my course is no longer operating semesters

what do I take refer to the replacement course list I am on the quarter

curriculum do I need to take the new KHP courses no please only take courses that

are listed on your curriculum sheet or are a replacement for courses no longer

offered how many units should I be taking a semester 15 units per semester

or five classes how do I know when I will graduate use the conversion guide

GE tool curriculum DPR Bronco direct search and KHP resources to help you

determine your graduation keep checking your Cal Poly Pomona email for updates

about DPR issues switching to semester curriculum and other updates view the

How to stabilize 360 videos and straighten horizons in Adobe Premiere with VR plugins - Duration: 8:03.

Hey Guys, it's Gaba VR, and this time I'm gonna show you how to straighten your 360 footage,

and how to make your horizon constantly straight during your whole video.

Looking at these videos, maybe everything seems fine, until you start panning around.

Then you can feel that they behave a little bit strange.

You cannot look around as easy as you want, because something is wrong with them.

But here you can see the problem, right after switching to flat view.

As you can see, the stabilization itself is quite okay, but the horizon line is a little bit twisted.

That's why the whole video behaves weird in 360, as the main directions are shifted.

If you want to look right, you will turn the video right but it's not the real direction in the virtual space…

… I hope you know what I mean.

You won't see such things in my 360 videos on this channel,

but unfortunately I meet this problem a lot of times in several Facebook groups,

when people just upload their raw footages, shot with Mi Sphere, Theta or GoPro Fusion.

And I think it ruins the whole VR experience,

because you can't look around perfectly. Even more, it's quite disturbing.

Anyway, if you are interested about this content I create check out my 360 travel vlog.

Now I have a series about Lisbon, you find in the right top corner.

Previously I published my videos with English subtitles but now I create English speaking versions, too

I dub the whole videos.

So sometimes when I'm talking to the camera, like this time, you can hear the original audio in the background

overdubbed in English, but the narrative parts are totally replaced.

So if you are interested about my 360 contents, check out my Portugal vlog in English,

or this playlist with all of my 360 videos in various topics.

But now, let's jump into it, and let's see how to straighten 360 videos on a computer.

It doesn't matter if it's a PC or Mac, because I'm working with Adobe Premiere.

In one of my previous tutorials I showed you how to insert titles into the 360 space

using one of the VR plugins come with the latest Premiere CC version.

And now, we're gonna use another one.

And this time I show you this workflow with a Madv footage.

So starting at the beginning I stitch my video.

I use the latest Mi Sphere Camera software,

because somehow it does a better job than the Madventure 360.

Madventure 360 creates such a weird "stitchline" in the middle of the front lens,

but Mi Sphere Camera app doesn't.

Each time I make sure that "Gyro calibration" is on, and that's all.

This basic stitching "workflow" makes the footage smooth

but the funny part is that none of the videos are aligned well. I don't know how.

Let me show you a funny example.

In this video you can see one of the simplest situations you could imagine.

I just put the camera on a horizontal surface. It's actually a couch.

I press the record button before putting the camera down, and it confuses the whole system.

The horizon line is changing all the time, during the video, even when the camera is not moving at all.

It seems like an extreme situation, but in fact it's quite the same with a moving camera, too,

but it's harder to see then.

So I have the footage with stabilization but the horizon is not perfect

Even more, it's changing during the video.

First I import it into Premiere, and search for "VR" plugins.

This time I will use the one called "VR projection".

To straighten the footage I have two options.

Once I can set up the middle of it, and I can correct the twist of the image, too.

Unfortunately it's always depending on the footage, there are no rules, how to start.

But there are some tricks I found out and I can show you them.

First, you may know that there's an overlay in Premier, called "Safe margins".

When you turn it on, it helps you editing commercials or any other videos you create for television.

Normally you can be sure, that your titles and your important graphic parts are in the safe zone.

But I use it with 360 videos, too.

These lines, especially the short ones on the middle can help me to set up the horizon

and in many times, the other ones are great during setting up the edge of the buildings.

If you don't have this icon, click on the plus button and add it to your toolbar.

Of course, you can create a psd file with a grid and drag it over the 360 video,

but in my projects there are so many layers in the end, that it would disturb me.

So I use these shorter middle lines, to set up horizon.

As you can see, it helps a lot to make the video really straight.

Even more I can switch to 360 preview.

Actually I hate that this preview window is so small, but this way I can check out these things very well,

because these frames and lines remain visible even in this view.

Of course, I can try looking around to feel how natural it is.(Sometimes it needs more correction.)

When it seems and feels perfect, I switch back to the flat view.

And here comes the part, why I showed you that weird moving horizon video in the beginning:

because the horizon line is moving in many cases, and we have further things to do.

I create key frames at that point where I was editing so far, and check out another frame.

Fortunately, in many cases it only needs a small correction.

And of course, I won't use the whole footage.

First I always cut the beginning and the end, when I actually put the camera in position and stop recording.

Then I check out the final cut to see where to put the key frames.

The less key frames are the better.

I think it looks more natural, when you create an arc to it.

Of course, it depends on the footage,

but I like to make it as smooth as possible, with continuous changes

instead of strong steps from frame to frame.

And finally you can see how it looks before and after

And how this weird footage looks before and after.

It's in flat view...

...and in 360.

And finally there's one more thing.

As you can see, we have a third option with this VR plugin, I haven't used yet.

I use it to set up a starting view-point and match the further videos to it during cutting.

You know, in a 360 or VR space it's very important to be consistent in directions.

I think the most important thing is to set up the first frame, because that's what the viewers can't control.

After that it doesn't matter what's in the "middle" or on the sides,

the point is to keep the scenes consistent during camera moves and setting up directions.

I think the easiest way to do this, is to create a fade.

In the middle of the fade you can see both images upon each other.

So when your opening scene is okay, you can match the next one to it, and so on…

That's how I go through the whole video to match all the scenes.

And that's all. I have straight horizons all over the video, and all the scenes are matching.

I hope you like this method, and if you do, please thumbs up!

And if you are interested about further 360 shooting and editing techniques,

press that subscribe button and don't forget to check out my 360 videos on the right top corner!

See you soon guys!
