There is a terrifying video going viral on the internet right now that shows a forest
breathing, or pulsating as if it has a heart beat.
No, there is no giant turtle living under the ground, but whats actually going on in
this video might surprise you.

So you know that freaky video floating around the internet that shows the forest breathing?
Ok well if you haven't seen it, A tweet shared by Daniel Holland, has pretty much
scared the hell out of everyone.
The video shows an area of forest in Canada that looks like its breathing.
Like I know that trees breathe, they inhale C02 and exhale oxygen, but i didn't realize
the earth could move the way that it does in this video.
The movement of these trees kind of reminds me of lungs taking in air.
It also kinda looks like theres something huge hiding underneath the ground that's
making the trees on top move.
The footage was taken in Sacre-Coeur Quebec and has since gone viral.
The video has over 4 million views at the time of this recording.
When I saw this video, it literally took my breath away.
I was like…theres no way that this is real.
It has to be special effects.
But like then as i watched the video more than once…I don't really get how you could
fake that.
Conspiracy theories about the reason for the strange movement have started to pop up on
the internet.
No its not an ent.
No its not an earthquake.
Its not a giant turtle under the ground, or evidence of a woodland spirit.
But it is mother nature.
The video is authentic.
Theres no editing.
But what the video really shows is how intense the wind can be.
According to the weather network…the forest looking like its breathing isn't actually
that strange.
It's a quote, understandable meteorological phenomenon in which the elements have come
together just right to create an unusual scene.
So when you look at the background of the video, and if you turn up the volume, its
obvious that its pretty windy.
According to the weather network, During a rain and windstorm, the ground becomes saturated.
You know that where there's forest and lots of trees around, theres a network of roots
underneath it.
You can't usually see the roots because theres soil on top.
But after a storm, The soil isn't stuck to the roots anymore.
There might be some moss and fallen leaves on the top layer, but the bottom layer is
loose because it was washed away by the rain and wind.
Then when the wind blows on the crown of the tree, the roots are still holding on.
As the wind tries to push the trees over, and the force is transferred to the roots,
that's what cause the the ground to start to moving around in the breathing motion that's
seen in the video.
If the wind persists and keeps blowing, then the roots of these trees might be ripped out
of the ground and the trees would fall over.
The weather network has actually received a lot of videos like this over the years from
people who are wondering what the hell is going on.
The truth is, most areas of forests, especially in places like Canada are uninhabited.
Which means this phenomenon probably happens all the time and we have no idea.
All it takes is one person wandering through the woods to see it and take a video of it.
The dark truth about this whole thing though, is that its actually a glimpse into what might
happen if weather patterns on planet earth keep getting more erratic and unpredictable.
Hurricanes are becoming more and more common thanks to warming oceans.
Hurricanes bring extremely strong winds that can completely rip apart forests, or tear
apart infrastructure.

down by winds that were 64 kilometer or 40 miles per hour.
I mean it was 1940 so we are better at building bridges now but, you get the idea.
