Hello and welcome to my second Monthly Bulletin for the Global Community.
I have really exciting things and people to introduce to you.
Right now I'm in New York City at the beautiful Riverside Park.
I'm conducting two workshops, Enhancing Sun style 73 forms
and exploring the depth of Tai Chi for Arthritis
at the cultural theater here.
This month the featured speaker would be Professor Rhayun Song.
I know Rhayun for many years. She has published
many research studies and she is the director of Tai Chi for Health Research
Center at the Chungnam National University in South Korea.
Professor Song is working with Professor Peter Wayne on a number research projects --
great news!
Professor Wayne is the Director of Mind-Body Research Institute,
author of the Harvard Medical School's Guide to Tai Chi,
and one of the most respected researchers on Tai Chi.
My interview with him will be featured next month.
It is really great that both of them teach Tai Chi --
that certainly makes their studies more relevant and more useful.
Professor Song has practical and insightful advice for all of us from
beginners to advanced IT enthusiasts a few weeks ago I was in London I ran
several workshops and I met master trainers participants senior trainers
coming from different parts of the world especially from different parts of
Europe the Tai Chi for health community is grow boo we are like a huge family
there's this very lovely bonding between us this time I was so impressed with
that family that beautiful bonding with the UK team and all the participants
that I have to introduce them to you so I'm going to introduce you three very
interesting individuals from England from UK my first speaker is Professor
Colin Hughes calling it's a well-known professor of geology it was interesting
when he talked about the the Tai Chi family the pool of memory of Tai Chi
family to get together to come to workshop to work with each other to
communicate each other he described that pool as a gravid gravitational force so
that's what a professor geology look at gravitation and he talked about his
class and how he used his class to help support charity work for her charity and
interestingly totally by coincidence I got to talk to John and John was
studying Tai Chi with Colin again it was by coincidence and she moved to another
area she described her Tai Chi journey and how she ended out start teaching Tai
Chi herself I was so impressed with this young lady and who who's fit and healthy
and suddenly constructed with a sciatica which is a compression of the
disk on the spine that really gives a lot of pain disable her and how she used
Tai Chi for rehabilitation to help her recover and how she feel about Tai Chi
as well as that I'm to talk about my recipe for health show you the
demonstration of the Tai Chi for rehabilitation with the extra turbo
movement I am also going to give some guidance for teachers and other material
that I think you are enjoy hearing about
and while I was in New York workshop I met with Professor Lucy Brown a world
renowned neuroscientist she will share with us from the perspective of
neuroscience how tight she works for brain health and how it validated my
teaching methods next month you'll hear from Professor Peter Wang professor Lucy
Brown more of my recipes my talks of how to improve your Tai Chi more
demonstrations and beautiful scenery of different kinds and answers to your
questions so do keep coming back every month I will bring you more people more
