who's this handsome little devil it's Rex I haven't made a video on Rex in a while

and here he is as you could see he's alive and well he's just chilling right now

hanging out and of course I also wanted to show his tank a little bit

But I'll show him off real quick as you can see he's gotten quite big since the

first official video that I made on him and his tank's gone through quite a big

renovation I just haven't really made any videos on Rex in a while because

frankly there's nothing really for me to make videos on about him since he's just

a bearded dragon he doesn't really do much besides bask and sit around all day.

Not really do much. Hmm? He's a very...come on focus camera...he's a very colorful and

pretty lizard that's for sure. But yeah he's doing fine he's very happy doing

what lizards do usually and he's gonna do his usual thing of trying to jump in

perfectly fine. That was pathetic Rex. That was the most pathetic Empire I've

seen you do in a while but yeah as you can see with this aquarium it's gotten

quite a few renovations I've got a 40 gallon breeder tank...breeder tank

I've had this for a while now and he hasn't really outgrown it yet he's kind

of a slow grower that's kind of how I think some bearded dragons are sometimes

he's just a slow grower...grower I mean he's a very interesting lizard he's

pretty big to me as I could see he's quite a lot bigger than he used to be.

His whole entire body would fit on my hand for the most part now it just barely fits on it

because he's so big. But yeah I'll show you around the tank real quick as you

can see obviously he has a hammock and this is his basking spot which he

usually hangs out at. I made the hammock very nice for a nice little angle not

too steep over here here's his original rock from its original setup there's a

humidity sensor as well... excuse me. there's a pile of rocks in here I got a

couple of months ago as you can see right there he sits there quite often

and sleeps on there there's a big cactus... cactus type log here that I have

actually put...throw crickets in there and uh dubias so that's kind of a

little bit of a game for him so that he has to look for the dubias and the

crickets and so forth like he'd do in the wild, so make some uses natural

instincts to hunt for predators (I meant "prey") there's his original log and kind of

keep this here just so it's kind of like a little bit of a step for him to climb

up onto his hammock there's a food dish that I had originally. A little bit of a

mess he always makes a mess with his veggies he does eat his veggies... I wonder

can I get him to eat veggies. Come here Rex. It's okay, you don't want any

you know want anymore veggies. Maybe you do. Oh. No you do

But yeah. These are grape leaves by the way, just so everybody knows. You can give bearded

dragons grape leaves. I've been given it to him for months now and he, he loves

him as you can see there he is eating. Of course he makes a big mess because he

has no manners Well he kind of dose now he's gonna pick him

off of the ground maybe. No you're just gonna get them from the bowl and make an even

bigger mess look at that belly yeah that's from eating veggies. He gets

quite fat. But yeah I think his size is kind of normal he's just

that's just how he is and I personally don't want him to grow super super fast

cuz then he'd turn it to a giant and he'd become ugly. Right now he's very

he's just about the right size he's very pretty looking very handsome he could

probably even go as "Mr. steal your girl (breaded dragon)" [laughs] No but uh

here's some more look of a setup this is basking lamp I actually have yet to replace

the basking lamp but it's still going. But I think eventually I will have to replace

it maybe in the next month or two I'll replace it. Here's the UV light, and just

so you guys kind of see, there is a UV light in there. I don't know if you saw

that but yeah it's the Zoo MED light I'll upgrade to a higher UV light later

it's powerful enough for now definitely powerful enough. But of course

there's a screen that goes on top of here. But right now it's not on. Of course

temperature sensor right here for around this basking spot. Ideal temperature

right here, his body gets to around a hundred and something

this lamp by the way, also heats up my

room quite a bit so as you can probably see it is 77 Fahrenheit in my room. Now the rest of

the house is about 73. But yeah this is actually his old setup right here

I've actually converted it to a cricket holding area and I've kind of denounced

the spot as cricket Island kind of jokingly and yeah. I mean I should

probably hide the crickets but personally I don't see a point at

covering up the crickets and hiding him because he's just gonna figure out

eventually that that's where the crickets are and he's gonna go nuts

whenever I go into there so yeah. You having fun? Let me clean up your mess

But yeah, he loves his aquarium he's very happy

here. There you go, he just climbed up here and of course, just. As well if

you're probably curious this is a mat that I bought online, it's a very nice

mat very easy to clean all I gotta do is take off most of the stuff that's it's

uh pretty much all the stuff that sits on top of the mat; pick it up; throw his

business in the toilet or in a bag or whatever; and then rinse the mat out

clean off anything that sticks to the mat and then it's fine. That's why I

prefer using this, it's very easy to clean. He's very happy too... There's also

no way for him to pick up anything and, like, choke on anything off the mat so

yeah it's very clean very helpful for him. But yeah that's pretty much it for

this video. Rex, you gonna go up to your heat lamp? Let's go.

Just to clarify to everyone, his name spells "R E X (Rex)" mainly because I didn't

know at the time if he was a boy or a girl

now I know he is a boy. Rex you gonna go? Come on. Come on, you lazy boy let's go

Let's put you here. But yeah there he is, there he is being regal in his favorite

basking spot. But yeah, that's pretty much it for this video on Rex, just kind of an

update video to show you that Rex is indeed okay and he's alive and well and

very happy so yeah. I don't know if I'll do more bearded dragon videos in the

future because there's not really anything for me to record on Rex

because he's just a bearded dragon at the end of the day he doesn't really do

much he just kind of sits here and does his own thing

but that's kind of what makes him very nice as a pet in the way. Cause he

doesn't make much noise compared to a cat or whatever. Who will sometimes wake

you up in the middle of the night meowing at you because he saw something

outside. But no Rex just does his own thing. He's quiet and he's very

patient with us humans and very social But yeah, that's why I like him very much.
