(upbeat music playing in background) Hello, I'm Mrs. Perez, School Counselor at Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center.

The interactive lesson you will be participating in will prepare you for your tour visit to our center.

Activities you will engage in include Jenga with a twist where you would get to know all of our thirty career programs while playing.

From there, you will be taken to our website to research your top three programs you will love to visit!

Finally, you will create your tour pass by completing your career bookmark.

(music stops) Hello class! This video would take you step by step in locating

RMCTC's web page and how to search for career clusters and eventually your choices of career programs.

So let's get started. Go ahead and type this web address

into your browser and this should take you immediately to the web page.

Next, at the top

you will find a list of all the career clusters; six in total.

You want to go ahead and ignore the other tab. It will take you to another page you don't want.

So you want to go ahead and hover your cursor over the your chosen career

cluster and then you'll see a drop box with all the career programs found within that career cluster.

Another way to search is to simply click on the career cluster of your choice

and

to the far right you're going to see all the career programs within that career cluster. So go ahead and choose a

career program.

You will immediately find a brief description of the program,

a list of job titles,

an overview video,

a list of colleges where your CTC credits can transfer to,

a list of student certification and if you scroll further down

it's meet the instructor section.

So you want to scroll right back up.

If you're interested in searching more career programs within that cluster just simply go ahead and click on

your other interested career programs.

If not

just simply scroll right back up and click on another

career cluster that you're interested in and just simply repeat

the same procedure. So happy searching!

Reading Muhlenberg and Career Technology Center is a career and technology school opened to 10th through 12th grade students

residing in the Muhlenberg and Reading School Districts.

It houses 30 career hands-on programs

which offer from three to nine college credits. In

addition students can earn up to 29 college credits through our Technical Academy.

This is more than one year of free college! Aside of earning college credits, students also receive

industrial certifications

equipping them with specialized skills for future employment

within high priority occupation producing higher wages. For a sneak preview of our programs
