Convection vs Conduction Vaporizers | Vaping 101 Educational Video Series - Duration: 4:51.
Good day guys, Matt from VapeFuse Australia here. Back again with another video for
our Vaping 101 Webinar Series, that's hoping to get Aussies in the know about
herb vaping. Now, one of the most basic principles when it comes to herb vaping,
is the notion of Conduction versus Convection Vaping. Now, when we talk about
conduction and convection, the most simple example I can think about- ovens.
So, you've got a conduction oven, it's basically just like an old-style gas
oven with an element in the top, you're gonna make sure that you're keeping an
eye on with inside so that it's not burning. When you've got a convection
oven, so the more new and modern ovens that a fan form style, you know that's not
anywhere near as much of a risk of things catching on fire, because it's
just the air that's being injured there's no singular heat element that's
helping to heat the content, it's just the whole oven moving around
constantly. So, it helps to deliver a lot more even heating sort of output. We've
had many experiences with vaporizers, so conduction vaporizers
often leave sort of hot spots and can end up in combustion, so really not what
people are looking for when you switch to vaping. So, when we talk about
combustion, you sort of think of a traditional pipe. So you have sort of a
material on the inside, like a tobacco or a heavy material, you hit that with the
lighter and it's just combusting. So, it's heating that plant material up to about
300/400 degrees Celsius and what that's doing is even though if it's not
radioactive, or won't cause any long-term bronchial effects for cancer or anything
like that. In the short term, it leaves you short of breath, can raise your heart
rate and it's just not what we're looking for when we look at a good herb
vaporizer. So some herb vaporizers like the ALD Amaze WOW, do utilize a conduction
vaping. So, the reason they do this, is because this is more of a budget
entry-level vaporizer. So, it's still a good device, but it cost a lot more money
to put a convection heater into a vaporizer, because then you're looking at
heating all of the air that's going in, instead of just heating a single little
element that's helping sort of --- vapor. So, if we look inside the chamber
of the ALD Amaze WOW, it's got a single ceramic plate so you
load your herbs onto that, an embedded heating on it, helps to heat that ceramic
and so as you're taking sort of air through and inside
it will convert that into vapor, but obviously, if you have it up too high and
temperature's too high, it can turn the herb on the inside black, so it's not
going to combust it, but it gets very near to that space and it can definitely
affect the flavor. So, there's, what the remedy is to that is, they include these
conduction pods which are also referred to as dosing capsules, dosing pods,
whatever you'd like. So, in that case it's not actually touching the chamber, so the
heated element isn't in contact with the herbs, that comes into contact with this
basket, which has the herbs inside of it. So, there's sort of a middleman, if you'd
like to think of it like that, between the herb and the heating element. So, that
helps to sort of, get you bit more flavors in vapor, but it's definitely not
going to be as much visible vapor, as the traditional conduction vape. So, when we
look at the Haze, the Haze is also a hybrid conduction- convection vaporizer.
It's got these conduction baskets, that go on the inside, that are sort of
serrated, around the middle, so that there is contact between the chamber and the
herb. They also included these convection baskets, that are solid. So, there's just a
solid bit of stainless steel mesh. There's absolutely no contact between
herb and chamber and as I said the vapor you're getting is a bit less visible
but a lot more flavorsome and when we're looking at full convection vaporizers
like the Flowermate Swift Pro and the Volcano Digit Desktop vaporizer,
as a bit more money involved, but there's also a lot more benefits. So, the flavor
you're gonna be getting out of these devices is paramount compared to these
two. So, with the Swift Pro for example, as you're in taking air through the bottom,
The air is being directly heated by the heating element on the inside, but that
heating element does not make any contact with the chamber. So, the heat
inside that chamber, is actually so low, you can have all these interchangeable
walls in there at the same time. So, these ones are made of wood and now you know
if wood was being heated up to 200 300 degrees obviously, didn't combust,
with this, all it does is add a subtly sweet flavour to the vapor path. Now, with the
Volcano Digit Desktop vape, that runs off a full convection heating style. You can
actually heat the device up to the required temperature for vaporization
before you even introduce the herbs into the mix. So, that first hit that you're
taking of herb vapor, is completely pure, hasn't already lost any of its initial
flavonoids or anything like that and it's really the tastiest
way to consume your herb material. So, with the Volcano, you just put your herb
in this little chamber, have it preheated.
Let's hit the button on the front and that's just blowing the air through this
generating the vapor. So, again zero contact between the chamber and the herb.
So, guys I hope I've given you a bit more of an insight into Conduction
versus Convection Vaping and remember to check out the rest of the videos in our
Vaping 101 Webinar Series to stay up to date with herb vaping.

Using a Water Bubbler with your Vape | Vaping 101 Educational Video Series - Duration: 4:25.
Good day guys, Matt from VapeFuse Australia here. Back again with another video for our
Vaping 101 Webinar Series, teaching Aussies about herb vaping. Now, I've touched on a
bunch of different vaping topics, now, looking at portable and desktop vapes, the
different types of portables, different types of desktops and one trend that
sort of starting to see, is usability is something though all users need in a vape.
Some vape that has a low level of usability that's really difficult to
learn and operate, no one's really into that, that much. The devices have
pretty much do everything for you and the ones that we've found that really sell. So with
these vaporizers today, I'm going to be going over a water bubbler, which is an
element to vaping, that's pretty new. So, portable vaping has taken off recently in
the past couple of years. It was only 10 years ago that you needed a backpack or
a little wagon to lug around your portable vape. These days, we've got
models you can slide into your back pocket and forget about and have your
session on you at all times. With these devices in front of me, that you're
seeing, they're all equipped with some type of aqua bubbler to help improve
functionality, cool the vapor and ultimately allow you to take much larger
draws. So, from right to left I've got the FocusVape Pro portable vape, the X Vape
Fog and the Hydrology9. So, obviously they've got very different styles of
aqua bubblers. The FocusVape is in the more traditional version, it's just got this
external aqua bubbler, it's got an interior percolator and it's also got
air lock, so that none of that water inside is gonna drip out. So, basically
this one, you just fill it from the tap or from filtered water, while you inhale
a little bit in the bottom and then you'll just make sure all that water is
just staying in there around the percolator. So, this aqua bubbler, just slides directly onto
the top of the device and it works very well. For anyone that's used to water pipe
before or is that sort of like their favorite style, this is gonna be an
awesome adjustment for you, from switching from smoking to vaping. It
allows you to keep that element, that your'e familiar with. So, the FocusVape Bubbler is awesome only
little downside, is if you push the mouthpiece in too far, you can hit the
perk underneath and obviously this device wasn't manufactured for used with
an aqua bubbler. So, traditionally it was just the herb vape when the aqua bubbler was
brought in to enhance its productivity a little bit. The X Vape Fog's aqua bubbler,
I found works a little better. It helps to cool the vapor a lot more, because
it's got this extended silicon vapor path and then a little external aqua
bubbler on the end and so it's way easier to clean too. You just fill this with a little bit
of Isopropyl alcohol, remove it from the silicon hub and just leave it to soak
for a day or two. So, the FocusVape is a lot more like a water pipe, very difficult to
clean, you're gonna keep it soaked up with some Isopropyl and some salt and
stuff like that and you can take it the best part of 10-15 minutes, because with
this device, anywhere up to you just leave it and let it do its thing. So, the
X Vape Fog's aqua bubbler, is actually compatible with a whole number of
devices, the Storz and Bickel Mighty and Crafty, the Flowermate Swift Pro, of
course, the X Max Starry, bunch of different vapes. So, if
you've got any of those vapes and looking for an aqua bubbler to increase
functionality, check out the X Max Bubbler in the VapeFuse
store. The third device, takes aqua filtration to a whole new level. Now, as I
mentioned before, neither of these devices were manufactured specifically for use
with an aqua bubbler. The Hydrology9 has an included aqua bubbler, that's built
into the device. So, it's whole vaporization and heating method and
stuff like that is built around the aqua filtration, so it can run a little harder,
it can really sort of extract those initial plant oils and stuff like that, a
little bit better, than these other two devices and the aqua filtration helps to
cool down the vapor and deliver beautifully tasty hits of herb vapor. So,
this device took out, our Best Herb Vape in the Flavor Category for 2018. So, I'm
not lying when I say that this thing really --- it's a beautiful device, the
Hydrology9. So, all of these devices, can be used with water, but when paired
with our Natural Piece Water Solution, you can maintain a cleanly piece, for a lot
longer. So, instead of just general water, which picks up any sort of grime or
whatever that's a resin, that's coming from the plant material, this Piece Water
has enriched minerals and vitamins and plant extracts that helps like a bit of
citric acid, that helps sort of maintain a bit of fluidity in
the chamber and I ultimately keep it clean for a lot longer. So, thanks guys.
