Welcome to the video pro guys, my name is
Mark and today I'm going to take a look
at the CINEMARTIN LoyalLT S4K monitor
So if we take a look at the CINEMARTIN LoyalLT S4K
monitor, it looks pretty identical
to aFEELWORLD F7 monitor, Except the
logo on the bottom here the housing is
pretty identical to the F7, the function
and features, menu. It's just a rebranded
version of the FEELWORLD F7 monitor so
if you're not comfortable with those
Chinese monitors this one might not be
for you, you might be better looking for
more expensive one. For just under
200 dollars, this monitor packs up a load
of useful features, False Color
Anamorphic de-squeeze, Histogram
Audiometer. So in that price range under
200 dollars you won't find a
better monitor with those features.
Allright so now that we have the monitor
set up and hooked to the camera let's
power it up. It takes a couple seconds to
boot up. It reads as FIELD MONNITOR instead
of FEELWORLD which I mentioned earlier
reach HDMI 1080 60Hz.
With my C100, every time I boot up the monitor
I have to turn the pixel to pixel option
otherwise there's those little jagged
lines, it looks like an SD display.
As you can see it's not quite sharp so you
might want to turn the pixel to pixel
option on and it's crystal clear.
If we go through the menu you have in the Aux Functions
The Check Fields, False Color, Zebra Switch
Zebra Exposure, Focus Assist
And Peaking Color. Check Fields, this
might be useful if you're not seeing
quite well because there's a lot of
contrast, you can check the Gray, you have
Red, Green, Blue and Off. The False Color
can be useful if you want to know if
you're actually peeking somewhere where
it's red.
False Color so when it's speaking up to
100 IRE, it's red so as you can see the
pictures 0 IRE is actually crushed black
so all the portion on the side of the TV
is actually crushed and the red here is
above 100 IRE is clipped
highlights you have the zebra switch, the
zebra exposure which can be adjusted
from 80 to 100 IRE. You have also the focus
assist which can be set to OFF, High or Low.
For the peaking color you have Red, Yellow
Blue, White and get back to Red. Now the
Marker Display, you have the center
marker which is a little cross air in
the middle this can be really helpful
and useful if you want to actually
Center something in your frame.
So the Marker Type is for the aspect ratio you
have the 16:9 which cover the full
frame. 4:3 if you want to shoot
old school. You have the 2.35:1
and you have the 1.85:1
and get back to off. The Safe Frame
runs from 80% and goes up to 96%
The Marker Color
can be Red, Cyan, Green, Blue, Black which
in this case is not really useful.
and white. You also have Yellow, Purple and
get back to Red. And there's the nine
grid if you turn it to on you have nine
little square in which you can navigate
through to enable by pressing the jog
wheel a pixel to pixel display so if you
want to check your focus at a specific
part of your image you can enable that
nine grid navigate through where you
actually want to check your focus and
you have a pixel to pixel in full scale
directly in your monitor. Now we have in
the Scopes the Histogram and the
Audio Meter. If we turn on the Histogram
you will see here how your picture is
exposed. The Audio Meter
will actually be on the left of the
screen so if your camera doesn't have a
headphone jack and you want to monitor your
other you can actually hook your your
headphones right under the CINEMARTIN screen
and you will actually see the
level on the left of the screen so this
might be really useful if you're
shooting on a DSLR that doesn't have a
headphone jack directly on your camera.
So in the Scan mode you have the choice
between Auto, Overscan and Full. Of course
the overscan kind of crop a portion of
the image by over scanning it so
personally I always let it to auto.
So, for the camera mode you have actually the
option of letting it off so you can
enable the 480p signal and if we exit
the menu it's actually a pixel to pixel
in the middle of the screen so this is
not much useful. And actually
you can force 1080 it creates some black
border so it's pillar box and letter box
in the middle. We also have the flip mode
which flips it horizontally, vertically
or upside down but this is not really
useful because you have two mounting
points so you don't have to turn upside
down the monitor. Freeze option which I never
used, the P2P which stands for pixel to
pixel which is quite useful if you see
those jagged lines you have the zoom
function here, 4x, 9 and 16. If you set
it to off you will see that you have to
enable back the pixel to pixel option.
then you have the Anamorphic De-Squeeze
so you have the 1.3 x squeeze factor.
you have the 2 .0 and 2 .0 with magnification
So as you can see the 2.0
you can see a corner of the screen which
is there. With the magnification it cuts
right to the speaker. Again you can see
that when you turn all those functions
off, the pixel to pixel
turns off automatically so you have to
enable it manually after. Color Settings
personally I've never touched anything
in this I've let it factory default and
have been pretty happy but you can
customize your Backlight, Brightness
Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Sharpness, Color Temp
Finally we got the shortcut so the
three button up there f 1 2 & 3 can
actually be customized with the function
you want. So my personal favorite are the
pixel to pixel you don't have to
navigate through the menu to enable that
function you can just press the
f1 button and the pixel to pixel
function will pop in or pop out.
The Focus Assist and the Marker Type so if I
actually exit the menu, pixel to pixel
Off, on. I can get the focus assist High, Low
and off and I can set the Marker Type so
1.85:1, 2.35:1, 4:3, 16:9 and
off and as you can see this function is
quite nice because you have the Red line
for the ratio you want and you don't you
don't till we black out the extra part
on top and bottoms you can you can
actually see what you're shooting
through a semi transparent layer so this
is pretty very nice. Finally the OSD
setting so you can change your language
the transparency, duration. You can set the
volume right here and you can actually
use the function which is mute, if you
totally want to cut the sound from the
speaker. You can set your power mode to
manual, which will use the 7-24
volt port here, or you can let it to
auto.
You can reset if you make change you
don't know exactly what went wrong
somewhere so you can actually reset it here.
So that's pretty much it
for the CINEMARTIN LoyalLT S4K
video review, I hope you enjoy it.
