Hi, my name is Shiva Trigg

I am a personal trainer in the United States of America.

Today, I want to talk about yoga.

Yoga is a name Indians gave a type of exercise.

But today, I want to tell you if I think if yoga is a good exercise.

If it is good for you to spend your time doing yoga

or if it is better for you to do something else.

You see in my hand, I have something pink

The name for this is a "yoga mat."

Meaning it is a thing they sell people for $20 so you can

put it on the floor so you can lay down on the yoga mat when you want to exercise.

In the USA, yoga is really big.

Boys in the USA do yoga, but more girls like yoga.

If you go into a city, you will see, for example, after going to work

girls have grabbed their yoga mats and wore their tight pants

and they are going to yoga class.

Yoga is something that in the USA, is very group-oriented.

There are a lot of classes and a lot of places you can go to do different types of yoga.

But, if you know yoga, you can do it in your own house, alone.

If anyone likes to go to yoga class, I don't want to tell them not to go.

Whatever you like to do in your own life, go and do it.

But, if you want to know my thought is that yoga is not better than other types of exercise.

Yoga is good for some things.

For example, yoga is good if you want to sit for a little bit, not talk, think, and stretch your muscles a little

yoga is good for those types of tasks.

If you have a lot of time in your day, you don't have work,

you like to waste your time, yes, sit for three hours and do yoga.

If you want to do something to make you feel better

you can, for example, go on a 30-minute walk

Or you can go do something similar to some of the other videos I put up

exercises to build your muscles

Now I know, some people say yoga is really good because you can build muscle

And yes, there are some types of yoga are good because you can

for example, straighten how you stand

Yoga is good for some things, for example

if you always hold your bag on one side, and you do this

and you walk a little bit crooked,

yoga may be good

But, there are other ways for you to straighten your muscles

and straighten your body

If you want to decrease your weight

if you think you are fat

yoga is not going to help you.

I see, some of these people that are going to yoga classes are fat

If you want to lose weight, if you think you are fat,

yoga is not the best exercise.

If you want to lose weight, first you have to eat less food.

Second, you have to do something to increase your body temperature.

If someone does nothing, doesn't exercise,

only sits, doesn't walk, doesn't go anywhere, doesn't use his or her body

for this person, if he or she starts yoga, is better than nothing.

For this reason, I don't want to say yoga is really bad.

But, if you can do something other than yoga, it may be better.

If for you, breathing is hard, yoga is really good because

you can slowly improve your breathing.

Some people say yoga is good for your heart

If you are upset about something, and if you sit and do yoga,

maybe it will help ease your thinking/clear your mind.

If you don't have time for yoga, it is okay.

Go for a walk

Go do another exercise

Do you know how to do yoga?

Do you walk? Do you run? Do you ride a bike? Do you swim?

Do you do weight lifting? Do you want to build your muscles?

Do you want to lose weight?

All of these questions are important to see if yoga is right or not right for you.
