In today's video I'm gonna show you a way to make an easy Video Collage.

This is also known as a Video Montage or a Photo Collage.

After all the holidays, I'm sure you have tons of photos and even some videos that you took

that are all loaded up in your phone or on your computer.

Instead of keeping them on your phone,

why not make a video collage that you can share?

That's where you take all your photos and even your video clips,

and turn them into a little video that you can share with your friends on social media.

You can use many programs to do this.

The most obvious is if you're on a Mac, you can use iMovie.

Or if you're on a PC You can use Windows Movie Maker.

I'm not gonna go into these. These are old-school and you've probably already played with them.

The one I'm gonna go into today is a program called Headliner.

Headliner is an online video maker

that you can use whether you're on Mac or a PC.

Now, all three of these programs are all free.

You can add music.

You can add cool transitions.

There's no watermark.

And the best of all, they are super easy to use.

So let's go in there and I'll show you what that looks like.

If you've never tried headliner before,

I kind of did an overview review video as well as making an audiogram.

And I'll link that in the description so that you can go check that out.

But for those of you they have already seen that, let's go ahead and go straight to the editor.

Now we're going to go ahead and make a landscape one, which is good for YouTube or web sites.

But you can also make a square one that you can use on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Or you can use portrait if you're going to make an Instagram story or a Snapchat.

So I'm going to go ahead and click on landscape and confirm.

Now it's going to do a little loading sequence.

And here we are with a completely blank landscape. Completely blank.

Now, If you've already seen this before you probably already know the basics.

This is the window I'm going to be previewing in.

You add your audio.

Your media, which can be video or a photo.

And this is if you want to put some text on there.

Sometimes it's fun to put text on pictures that you've taken.

Now we're going to start by grabbing some audio.

Go down here to audio and click +

You can either choose a file or you can go to their audio library and pick out something.

If you hover over it, you'll notice it makes a sound.

That one's kind of fun, let's check out this one.

I kind of like that one. Let's put that one on there.

If you're gonna use a wave generation,

which is where you put the actual audio over your pictures,

this is where you would choose out fast or slow.

But we're not going to do that.

I'm just going to use this as is. Also if you're going to be putting it

on a particular social media, it has time limits for you down here.

Twitter is 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Instagram one minute.

Instagram stories is 15 seconds.

Snapchats 10 seconds.

And for Facebook, it gives you 10 minutes.

We're just going to add it as is.

You can see here the clip start, clip end and clip duration.

Now, the reason I like to start with the audio,

it's because the audio gives the video its entire feel.

And I want to make the clips line up with the audio

so I can feel that feeling.

That way I can make the clip change in just the right moment.

Now that I got it on there. I can go ahead and push play.

As you can see, that's quite loud.

Let me go back.

Now, I'm going to start adding my media.

But you can add JPGs, PNGs, SVGs, MP4s, MOVs.

So, you can add whatever kind of format that you want to put in here.

So, I'm going to click choose file.

And I have this great collection right here of pictures for my video collage.

And I'm going to start off,

all of these are based around the holidays.

So I'm gonna start off with,

Let's just have a nice friendly everybody type of one.

Open

Now, it's gonna let me crop it to wherever I want.

I can add zoom, pan, all kinds of effects.

I'm just gonna go ahead and have this one pan.

And then you can add whatever kind of transition you want.

I'm just going to have mine dissolve.

I'm going to add it to the video.

Now you can see the pictures down here.

And to change the length of it, you can just drag it back or forth.

I'm gonna line it up with the little,

the little line right here,

in the audio.

Because that's where the music kind of does a change over.

I can tell that from actually looking at the waveform.

Let me back that up and let's take a look at that.

Yep, that looks good.

So now I'm going to add another picture after it.

Choose another file.

And this time I think I'm going to throw in this one here.

This is of fireworks.

I'm going to add this to video and this one we're not going to pan

or anything. We're just gonna leave this as is. We're going to leave it with dissolve.

Add to video.

But on this one here, I'm going to add a text over it.

So, I'm going to put a text.

And I want it to be a large heading.

And you can get really custom on this and make your

your text transition, zoom in and out. Fade left, right.

There's just so much that this program can do.

And I'm just gonna go ahead and stick with the large heading.

And I'm gonna put

I'm going to center that.

And actually I'm going to make that bigger.

You can also put in all different types.

And I'm gonna put that to 96.

Let me go ahead and make that one a 96 too.

There we go. That looks good. And if you want to adjust this you just go over to custom.

You can add padding at the top I up to mine to 10. So it's right over the center here.

And we're going to go ahead and add that to video.

Now I also want to drag this back to where there's another music change over.

Let's go to about

That looks so short.

Let's try that right there. Well, no, that looks good.

When you do as much audio editing as I do,

you get to where you can see where the music change overs are.

Okay. Let's rewind this and take a look at how that looks.

Ready?

Okay, it's not exact on the music changeovers

But usually in my video editing software,

I can make this a lot bigger so I can get it really detailed,

Let's add in a couple more videos just to show you a few more things.

Stop about right there.

And let's add in

These cute puppy dogs

And on this one, let me kind of center them.

This time I'm going to have them zoom.

And go ahead add to video.

Scooch this down.

You can grab this little slider right here in scooch back and forth really simple.

Or you can actually go up and down.

And I'm going to move the little puppies back over here.

I'm going to add another picture.

Choose

These people are kind of walking. I'm going to actually take and cut this in

to where they're kind of in the corner here.

I'm going to have them pan left. Add that to video.

And let's add one more.

Choose file.

Kind of finish up our holiday theme with that.

In this one, we're not going to have any movement.

Add to video.

And we're going to add a headline again.

And this time we're gonna say,

Have a great 2019.

I'm actually going to lower this down some.

So let's try 20 there that looks good.

All right, let's take a look at what we've got so far. I didn't cut off the end of that last one.

And there you go.

That's just an example. You can get in here, you can put in different text.

Take your music down, but go ahead and try to pick a song. That's the link that you want your video.

That way, go ahead and fill it up to match the whole song.

And then when you're ready, you just hit export.

There you have a nice little video collage that you can share with your friends and your families.

This is a super simple easy way to take all those wonderful photographs

that you took over the holidays

bunch them all together in an awesome little video

and share them out with everybody.
