My name is Amy Sorrells. I run communications for the Oracle Global Startup Ecosystem
which is Oracle's program that works with startups and innovators worldwide.
For us video, and for anyone video, is the most crucial part of
our content strategy, but we were having trouble really getting the right
engaging content in a real-time fashion that was effective and also efficient.
It was a major pain point for us quite frankly, until we found the Sauce app
and that changed the game for us.
Traditionally, we've used the conventional methods, production companies, which were fine and there's a
use for those, but it was not a scalable thing. It wasn't within budget.
We have a global community of innovators and entrepreneurs that all have a handheld
device in their hand and they're already uploading videos and I didn't understand
how can we get those and be able to really show their organic natural stories?
But still have brand control. We do want to leverage the global community.
We want to make sure that what we're putting out is indeed on brand
and the Sauce platform was able to let us do that.
Oracle OpenWorld brings around 60,000 people into San Francisco so to be able
to really tell our stories there, in video content that was smart, that was
organic, that was in real time was very important for us which we couldn't do
before in the past.
So we launched Sauce. It was very simple. We were able to create shot lists,
we were able to have automatic notifications to all the startups that
we brought as well as other people in our team. So their ability to upload a video
was really simple, fun for them and Whitney was back home in Wisconsin
at Mission Control and was able to take in all these videos.
Using the Sauce app not only helped us streamline collaboration during a very hectic event
but it also helps us create great engaging content.
