Waching daily Jan 26 2019

Today I'm sharing five items that I will not buy no matter to hype. No YouTube! You

can't make me do it! I have been tagged by the lovely Miss Andrea from Styled4Life

to do a video on the five items that I will not purchase no matter what

the hype is on YouTube. And I can tell you that I have purchased things in the

past because I just saw them so much on YouTube, and I love them on other people,

and they didn't work out for me. And I ended up selling those items. So I have

learned I've learned my lesson, and these are things that I won't buy for my

personal reasons. If they work for you, they work for you.

That's great. This is not to say that I don't think anybody should buy these

items. Just saying they don't fit my lifestyle. They don't fit my aesthetic,

and they don't fit me so I have no business wearing or carrying these

things. So let's get started. The first item that I will not buy no matter the

hype is a designer or luxury phone case. I carry the iPhone, and I change it. You

know if .. it's not like I always have the latest iPhone or anything, but you know

when it's time to replace that I replaced it. I turn it in. I get some sort

of credit, and I get the new iPhone. I don't want to buy a luxury SLG that is

tied to a piece of technology I know that I'm going to switch out. My iPhone

case is not particularly expensive, but its job is to protect my iPhone. And

frankly I really want it to be as small as possible. It just doesn't work for my

life. If that's something you love, you go for it. You show it on YouTube. You do all

you want with it, but you are not gonna make me buy it!

Number two. The next thing that I just personally am NOT going to buy is

sneakers from a high-end luxury house like Chanel sneakers.

It sounds like an oxymoron to me. And I know there are people out there who love

getting Chanel sneakers, and they even look good on a lot of people. A design

house is known for something, and I usually like to get what they're known

for and what they do right. And there are a lot of companies out there that may

not be luxury, they can be pricey, but they may not be luxury, but they

specialize in making sneakers. That's what I'm gonna go get. A sneaker, wearing

sneak or tennis shoes or whatever you call

them is not part of my daily style. I'm more likely to wear, if I'm just being

casual, a pair of low boots, ankle boots with a low heel, or a pair of ballet

flats, something like that. If I'm wearing sneakers I'm usually either taking a long

walk, or I'm going to exercise. It's just not something that I wear in my normal

life anyway. So high-end luxury sneakers are not for me.

Number three is anything with a huge logo. I've seen this starting to come

back in style either in a t-shirt with a huge logo, or even a relatively simple

bag with a huge logo across it, a huge name. Or a jacket, I don't know with with

a huge logo. I am not going to be their billboard. I feel like a billboard when

I'm wearing that. I don't feel like I'm wearing something that is about me and

my style, and works with me. I feel like they should be paying me if that's what

they want me to carry. Number four is a Neverfull or really any floppy, open bag.

Every once in a while a new Neverfull comes out you know with an interesting

liningl and the Neverfulls can be really pretty on other people. I've tried them

on. I tried carrying them. The the straps are kind of thin. They don't feel very

luxurious to me, but really I just don't like the whole wide open bag. I like my

bag to keep some of my secrets. I really like the Bottega Veneta, I think

it's the Cabat (emphasis on first syllable) or Cabat (emphasis on last syllable). I don't even know how to say it. I like the look of

that bag, but again it is this bag that is just floppy and very very open. So no

Neverfulls for me, and no big floppy open bags.

Number five is anything that I see too much of. I am getting sort of exhausted

of seeing the same thing all the time. You see the same exact bag, or the same

exact item. And it started with Louis Vuitton and everybody had sort of the

same Louis Vuitton pieces, and then it went into Chanel. And it's really I mean

the exact same pieces. Now you're even seeing it with some jewelry and they're ...

you know you can name the the four or five pieces that everybody gets.

Obviously I wouldn't buy somebody else's jewelry at this time, but even when I

collected jewelry before I started designing it, I just never wanted

something that everybody had. I understand sort of the thinking behind

that, that it's a tried and true piece. I get it. It's not me. I want to have

something that's a little different. And I don't care if you recognize it or

not frankly. If you do, you do. If you don't, you don't. I just want to love it,

and I want to know that it's well-made, and I want it to have some sort of

meaning for me. So if I see it too much, even if I love it, I'm not going to get

it. I'd be interested to know what you think about that. If you see something a

whole lot does that make you want it more? Or is there a point where you go

yeah I've seen that one too many times? Let me know in the comments below. Well

that's the tag. Thank you for tagging me Andrea. I do appreciate that. I'm going to

tag several people. Because I was tagged by the person who created the tag, I get

to tag a lot of people because not a lot of people have done this video yet. And I

would really like to see this tag progress. I think it's interesting to

hear people talk about how they think about purchases. It gets me thinking

about my own purchases, and it also gets me to know them a little better. So

thanks again Andrea. And to everybody I tagged and whoever they tag, I'm

excited to see what you create. If you have not subscribed yet please do that

right now. I would love to see you again. I am doing a video every single day for

the year 2019 so there will be a lot of times that you and I can get together

this year. Until next time!
