Hi!

I am Shawn Dennis and I teach in the CIS Department.

I am a full time faculty member and I have taught for 16 years at ASU Mountain Home.

I am the main contact for the Networking Specialist degree.

Some of the courses I teach in the degree plan are the CompTIA A+ program, the Cisco

Networking Academy program, Computer Security, Networking Concepts, and the Internship

program.

In my networking coures, we make CAT 5 cables, configure

routers and switches, and connect devices together locally and across the Internet.

In my computer classes, I plan to have the students build a computer that is

submerged in mineral oil.

I call it the Fish Tank Computer!

We will also determine

projects for the Raspberry Pi.

So, some pretty cool stuff for the Fall semester and I am super excited!

During the academic year, you can find me cheering on my favorite hockey team, which

is the Dallas Stars!
