It is quite odd the enormous amount of people that offer taxi services at the airport.

A very lovely gesture but you do have to pay the price.

A better option might be to pass the bridge where you will find local yellow taxis for a very affordable price.

It is a small effort and the difference in price will safe you up to pay for at least three cocktails.

This time, in fact, it cannot get much worse…

Since we are at the west coast of Mexico in Puerto Vallarta.

The most authentic way of transport is with the local bus. A bumpy but fantastic experience.

The bus trip does only cost one peso and on the window of the bus the destinations are written.

Often you will find in tourist destinations like Puerto Vallarta, these long avenues with only expensive hotels and American tourists.

Completely fine of course! However, I always find it nice to see an antique establishment in-between these modern buildings.

For instance, you realize you do not have an inflatable crocodile or a T-shirt with the text ''I LOVE PUERTO VALLARTA''.

Where most people often tend to go to restaurants, the Mexicans have a preference for small dining rooms like these.

The atmosphere is immediately very cosy and warm.

The first thing that springs to mind if you think of Mexico might be the the VW-beetle car.

These cars are still highly popular here and until not so long ago these cars were still produced

Every city has its touristic hotspots.

Most of the time, I rather skip these places but sometimes it could be nice to see them at least once.

In Puerto Vallarte, this touristic hotspot, is the boulevard named the 'Malecon'.

If you are someone that really prefers white beaches and clear blue water, then this will not be the destination for you.

On the other hand, the climate here is very nice. It is less humid as at the east coast of Mexico.

I hope to pronounce them right….

... Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Paris ... is the most famous church of the city and this is how it looks.

For instance, you are looking for a beach with a lot of men… you will also find these here.

The beach is recognizable because of the blue parasols and it is in the neighbourhood 'Zona Romantica'

The wealthier Americans and Canadians are usually based here.

In case you are looking for a Sugar daddy it might be worth visiting :-)

So, how are the bars in Zona Romantica on a Tuesday night?

The taxi has brought me to 'Olas Atlas' which is in the city centre.

Every night Paco is open. Here they host different drag queen shows.

What an amazing night! It is highly recommendable to go to the beach to really wake-up.

This was Puerto Vallarta at the west coast of Mexico. A place where you can truly be yourself for the full 100%.

You will be respected for who you are. That is an incredible aspect of this destination.

However, you do find many older American and Canadian tourists here.

Do you prefer to visit this place and encounter a 'more' authentic Mexican experience? Then it would be recommendable to visit during Easter.

A lot of Mexicans are off during this period and they prefer to come here as an escape from their life in the city.
